I've update my HD7 Schubert to 7740, and after restart the touch screen doesn't work.
I tried a factory reset, but the touch screen still doesn't work so i couldn't complete the settings process.
My SPL is 5.X and i can't downgrade it as my phone is no more recognized by Zune due to the factory reset.
Do you have any solution?

I recently upgraded to the official 1.93 WWE ROM (and new hard SPL), and now my screen flickers a lot when the phone is switched on. (The flickering starts at boot-up when the red writing appears at the bottom-right of the screen).
I have been able to solve it so far by pressing the power button twice to switch the display off and back on again, but wondered if anyone else had experienced this and could suggest a more permanent fix?

Anyway, when you get this after a reset, just turn on and off the display and all goes back to normal.
You need to flash another hard spl. The issue is caused by an outdated spl not being compatible to your lcd screen. Try hard spl 1.37 found here:

Thanks! I tried searching for "flicker", but got too many results and didn't find that thread.
i have the flickering screen too, i want to try this method but my activesync does not work. i try a hard-reset and now the device ask me to insert Getting STarted Disc to install synchronization software which I did. it still doesn't work. anyway to do this?

I want to try flash HardSPL but my USB port doesn't work, is there anyway to do this?
My htc which is still default from factory freezes on start up. i have been advised that it needs a firmware upgrade but as i am unable to boot the phone up i am unable to upgrade the firmware. i am lost here i have been searching for hours to find a solution and can;t seem to find one so i thought i would ask you guys. it freezes on the screen smart mobility and doesn;t move from there.
Have you tryed to hard-reset?
To flash the original stock ROM via bootloader? as doesn't need to fully load os to flash.
i have tried to hard reset it now and it wont turn on now.
i got it to boot again after the hard reset but it did the same thing just froze on the smart mobility screen again. i had sent it in to be fixed but they wanted to charge me quite a bit to update the software and since i have 4 months till my contract is up i don;t want to pay it is there anyway i can give it the update whilst it is freezing during boot up
Try flash stock ROM via bootloader.
Camera button hold in press in stylus, stock rom "from wiki" now flash via usb or sd.
would you be able to suggest the best rom for me to use i have wm 6.1 the info it givews me is kais130 spl-3.29.0000 cpld-8 i have never done this before i just want to be sure i get the right one
You will need your carrier ROM as when flash will vendor check since not hard-spl'd.

I am using un-contract HTC Pure windows 6.5 phone in india. Now I am facing some issue with my mobile so I want to hard reset my phone. But I am worried about one thing is, do I need to unlock my phone again after hard resetting mobile ?
I have unlock code which is given to me by AT&T at the time of purchasing this mobile.

I bought HTC diamond 2 recently. It is my first smartphone, so I am a little nooby with it. Anyway, it has the stock windows 6.1 installed. So, I may go off topic, but I wanted to ask:
1 - If I am about to upgrade my phone to WM6.5, will my warranty still be working with another OS than the stock one?
2 - If I install (or flash or whatever you call it) my phone to WM6.5 and then perform the hard reset (push the reset button on the back of th phone), will the phone run wm6.5 or the stock wm6.1 after the reset?

If you install an official WM6.5 ROM from HTC you won't loose warranty (I guess)
A hard reset will reset your phone to the factory settings of the latest flashed ROM. So if you flash a 6.5 ROM and do a hard reset your phone will still be on that 6.5 ROM.
Attention: pushing the reset button is not a hard reset - it's a soft reset
And a soft reset won't kill your data or configuration
So, what exactly does the soft reset and hard reset? Where is the difference? And how do I perform the hard reset then?

is there any way to reset my hd7 to remove my mango nodo updates etc or if there is any way to flash fone with flash memory stick plugged into pc i just want to lower my spl and am having the worst time ever tia
I am having a problem trying to restore my phone. I was running Deepshining v2 and decided to go back to stock for a while. So, I connected to Zune to do a restore and failed. I get to step 3, at 0%, and then it times out. I have tried this several times with 2 different restore points. I have tried flashing a stock Rom, doing a factory reset, and downgrading radio. I have also tried the WP7easybackup tool with the same results. The phone worked fine after every flash. Since I could not restore, I decided to put on Deepshining v6, which is also running fine. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

It seems you have a recent bootloader...go to tricolor screen and if this SPL-5.11.2250.0 reads...You must Y cable to lower spl

That is a good thought. I looked under "setting -about - more info" and it says I have bootloader 3.1. I have been on a custom rom since before Mango and currently on Deepshining 7.1
Is there no way to downgrade if you have 5.11.2250.0 spl. I have just been given this phone by a friend who stupidly put a pin code on his lockscreen and then quickly forgot it. I have a htc desire s so use android and thought it would be easy to just reflash it through bootloader but this is different. I have tried most ways i can find on the hd7 forums except gold card as i do not have the bits. Is there not a simple way to factory reset this device or some kind of recovery?
Oh and sorry if this is in wrong thread but its one of the only ones i've found refering to spl 5.11
