So basically my omnia 7 has been giving me repeated bootloops every 3 hours or so. So I decided to give it a factory reset...so I did then I plugged it into Zune and left it updating.
As it reached a particular stage Zune crashed and gave me the notorious error code many receive with their Omnia7.
It has been looping ever since. To make it worse I cant access factory reset any more...
Any help would be appreciated guys.
Go to bootloader and flash the ROM?
It actually worked once (it was a pre nodo rom found in the omnia 7 xda wiki)
But after the flashing was interupted while updating to mango - all this drama occured. Now im stuck in a flashing logo. =[
Updating through Zune is not flashing!
Try to get the phone into download mode, and flash it once more. If that doesn't work, call Samsung and tell them what happened during the zune updates. You don't have to mention the flashing of ROM. I'm sure they are able to help you.
I had the same problem and wasn't able to reflash any roms either. I tried everything but eventually needed to return the phone to Samsung I'm sorry to tell you!
Yeah that's what I am about to do!
Thanks all
I have proble with my bootloader after many flash something brick the bootloader and now does not see usb connected on download mode.. Also i had problem with update 7740 I go to Samsung but omnia7 does not coming official to my country.. So they can't help me.. Unoficially flash an image on my omnia with 7004.. Finally update to 7740 but still have bricked bootloader

Hello,
I received an XDA Mini II and am having a few issues. Firstly the person who had it 'attempted' installing Windows Mobile 6 that is available on torrent and ran the file 'EnterBL' and it went into boot loader (and goes into it nearly always). However now I have it was able to 'hard reboot' it and get the normal screen to come up and it seems to have reset it since it is taking me through all the welcome stuff.
But it goes to install all the programs and then reboots back into bootloader and cycles through all of that again.
What would be the best option. I am happy putting Windows Mobile 2003 back on but what files do I need to do this? is it possible to put WM6 (from torrent) on it with what comes in that torrent?
I am sorry if this is in the wrong section.
Thank you for any help...
UPDATE: I managed to get back into the phone by removing the battery before it did the 'customising' and then when it booted it came up okay. However when ever I reboot it it goes back into 'Serial' bootloader mode and then I have to do the setup all over again.
How can I stop this?

Its a bad flash, extended rom has got corrupted, download the official carrier's rom from its official website for the make & model of your phone and reflash it.It'll srart working to default status. After that if you wish you can upgrade to any wm6 latest rom by following the correct unlocking and upgrading method as per your device.
Secondly, don't download Roms from Torrents,as they usually are corrupt or virus infected.Always get Roms from here from xda-developers forum or from the official carrier's website.
Good luck
Hi,
Last night my Galaxy S was low on battery, and I kept trying to turn it on for it to die right away (it was working as expected I guess)
This morning after I charged my phone it wouldn't turn on at all! It loads to the logo screen, makes that jingle sound and then holds and doesn't turn on.
I can get to recovery and download mode.
I put OCLF on like 2 months ago, but haven't modded/flashed ANYTHING since. It is very bizarre how it just died.
I'm wondering what my options are now. Obviously I would rather not loose all my personal files. Since I can get into download mode, can I just flash a new firmware? I'd like FroYo anyway, but I haven't got a clue what to do.
Great start to the year – !
Cheers,
Mitch
EDIT: I just decided to try the "Clear User Cache" option and then reboot to no avail. Now I can't get back into recovery mode!?!? Download mode still works. Huhh?? Is this expected? Have I lose Recovery Mode entirely now? Crap.
seeeems like an odin flash via the download mode is the only way. There are a few tutorials on this site and even tut vids on youtube so you should be fine if you just follow everything they do (as long as it works for them of course)
How do I know what version to flash? I have read a few tutorials and they all have started with "Dial x and check you have y" etc. Obviously I can't do any of that.
What is the *safest* firmware I can flash?
My phone currently has some optus variety.
Please forgive the noodish question.
Mitch
Where are you located? And who is your provider?
Hi,
I'm in Sydney Australia and my provider is Optus.
Thanks
Hi,
I still can't get my phone working and am not clear how to proceed.
What would be the best firmware to flash to my Optus Galaxy S that bricked out of the blue? Should I just send it back to Samsung?
Thank You

Hey mate go to samfirmware and get I9000DTJG4 thats the stock optus rom once you get phone up and running then upgrade to 2.2.1.
Sounds like you'll need to do a flash of a stock rom..
By the way, the old oclf had some issues that might lead to system corruption (unfortunately I'm not very sure exactly what it does, or whether it could lead to this problem). I'd suggest getting one of the newer lag fixes available here when you do get your phone running again

tragusman has got it right. Depending on what the issue is, you'll either recover nicely or your phone is toast. Flash the above stock firmware and give it a shot. Note that you'll likely loose your data and settings.
If you're new to flashing firmwares, check the great reference guide on where to find Odin and how to use it (this is the app you'll use to flash the above firmware).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=723596
After flashing, try getting into recovery mode. If you can look for an error message under the standard menu. Can't get to d/l mode? You're probably in trouble. Get into recovery and see an error msg? Post the error here or google it for a solution. No error msg? You're probably ok - restart the phone.
Good luck.
Thanks guys.
I'm about to try it now, but before I start potentially breaking my phone even more, I was just thinking: Could I just send it back to Samsung? Would they fix it, or identify right away I have changed something and void my warranty.

If it's broke, you can't break it any more I've sent phones back in for support after flashing back stock firmware (flashing it after it "died").
So I was retarded and followed the instructions (or started to) on androidadvices dot com/how-to-update-samsung-galaxy-tab-to-stable-gingerbread-2-3-3-firmware
My Tablet will not boot past the T-Mobile logo.......... they are being assholes and telling me i need to deal with samsung ......... who told me it would be 6-8 weeks for a replacement........ is there ANYONE out there that can help me with just resetting it???
If you can get to the T_Mobile logo, you probably have a working bootloader and that mean you just need to flash the correct firmware for you device.
In short words, go to samfirmware.com and download the right firmware for your tablet model.
Once you have the firmware, flash them to your tablet with 'odin' (flash software, that you can also get in the mentioned website).
This should solve the problem.
If this works I will love you.
So i am obviously more retarded than I thought pedrohfsd ........ I have an SGH-T849 and i cannot FIND the firmware on that site..... seriously? UGH
pm me i'll tell you what to do , with th stock firmware for Tmobile , i helped someone before 2days he had same tab with you ) and same problem

You sir, are brilliant.
I wasn't able to locate the firmware on the samfirmware.com but I DID find it on XDA from another user. Put phone into download mode... waited till the little box in Odin turned yellow and loaded that badboy on there. After about 5 minutes it was back into the 2.2 OS again. The only problem that I had was with programs that had been installed before and loaded at boot (Just had to uninstall / reinstall) But for the most part its back to the way it was.
Thanks so much for your help!
You too Kosh, as I am sure you were going to walk me through exactly what I fumbled through on my own (I'm lucky I didn't blow anything up haha)
NO more attempts to get 2.3 on this badboy!
Thanks again all <3
I'm glad to hear that KalKainen, the first time i soft bricked my phone i got desperate too.
But after some weeks i saw the inumerous progressions that people develop in custom roms here in xda, and flashed the whole thing again =P.

Amen man..... desprate is about right.. haha... now if i could only figure out why i have to CONSTANTLY reboot it in order to restore network service (Even though I have 3g and full bars... no text messages send / come in and programs that use data error out... ) I would be happy. This has been happening for the last 4 months badly enough that I can have to reset it 10 times in a 2 hour period >.< I cant even put it into flight mode.... but after I TRY putting it into flight mode and then reboot it... it comes BACK in flight mode.... I hoped the reinstall of the firmware would fix it.. but alas..... still plagued. AT LEAST IT WORKS THOUGH!!
Ok.
first off, Hii!! this is my first ever time writing on XDA.
Any way, i know this is not a new issue.. but my ATIV S is rebooting every 5 seconds after the 8.1 update via preview for developers.....
i did a lot of digging before writing here and found this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2718023
I followed the instructions and flashed the GT-I8750_DXBMJ1_R_signed ROM along side the GT-I8750_VJALL3_P csc (this is the only combination that gave me some results.
After flashing, my phone did manage to boot up finally but with a twist. Trying to restart the phone sends me back to the boot loop forcing me to reflash everything again.
i tried the tip from the thread to download the preview for developers app and try to update the phone again (claiming it will resolve the issue) but as soon as the phone goes to reboot before the update the boot loop comes back and we're back to squire one.... so i'm kinda stuck.... is there any kind of FIX i can try to help me sad situation? :crying::crying::crying::crying:
I've had a lot of issues with my Ativ S as well.
Your rebooting issue seems recognizable, maybe this thread will help : https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/F...ime-after-wp-81-update?forum=winphoneosissues
Anyway, I'm on the latest Developer Preview update, my Firmware version is : 2424.14.9.3
It seems the phone is much more stable now, however i'm only using this phone for development, there is no sim card present anymore.
Switched to a new Nokia for my main device.
Advice : If you want a decent Windows Phone, buy a Nokia, not a Samsung or HTC.
Thank you for the reply!
i did some more digging and found that flashing the GDR2 FW 2424 actually helps. after that the is a need to update the phone to the official GDR3 update in the phone updater in settings. i am trying that as we speak and really hope it will work
BTW this ATIV S is my backup phone and not my daily driver (i use a Galaxy s4) i just wanna fix it up to use as my work phone. my trust in windows phone is gone for now XD
EDIT: OK, so i followed the thread and applied the instructions...
at first, i flashed the GDR2 official ROM with the instructed csc file and everything booted up well. at this point they say that if the phone is to be restarted the boot loop will come back (it did when i tested it)
afterwards, i installed the preview for developers app and started updating to the official GDR3 update as instructed. it finished up and booted up well. the next step was to update to 8.1... i did and at first it worked well but as soon as i disconnected the USB cable, the loop returned again. (if i connect the USB cable back it's booting up normally)
BTW i tried doing it all from scratch and noticed that in every step of the process, if i disconnect the cable the loop come's back and disappears as soon as i plug it back in... anyone has any idea what to do next?
(Solved) and thank you everyone!
I have a Galaxy Note 5 for tmobile. I have been running Note 7 express rom. Also I had a backup or Hell Rom.
The problem is is I went to change the DPI settings and although I made a backup I forgot to take off the fingerprint lock or possibly delete a Google account and when the phone shut down and came back on it showed a custom boot animation. The boot animation was Biohazard.
At this time I have tried to download the last 4 firmwares DOK and PDH and the phone will go as far as to accept the boot but once it gets to where it should pass it will not. The phone will let me go into download mode however it won't let me do anything from that point and tells me that the custom binary has been blocked by FRP.
And hoping someone can help me as I can't afford a new phone at this time the phone is pristine and I'd hate to see it become a paperweight I took it in to Samsung and obviously pretended like I wasn't the one who did the damage and they said that they wasn't sure what it was or what it was doing but it wasn't working so I quickly realized that I had no help there and I thought I'd ask my brothers and sisters here.
If anyone can direct me to the right software or a proper flashing tool that might be able to get past the FRP lock please let me know as I am dying here in Ohio without my phone.
Thank you in advance all

Are you saying you tried stock firmware flash to phone? Download the stock firmware from samsung official website and flash through ODIN. If it fails try a different cable, try a different USB port (sometimes 2.0 and 3.0 fail for unknown reasons), try using windows 7 instead of 8, 8.1, and 10 or vice versa. Use a different version of ODIN. These are all common ODIN issues that cause flash to fail. Should accept a flash of completely stock firmware.
Let me know what you come up with.
