Addressbook and rSAP - HTC Incredible S

I've paired my Incredible S (stock with Sense 3.0) with my Audi MMI system and it works fine to place calls but I have an issue with the way the address book (People) is synced.
Firstly is that the stupid car do not honor the first & last name setting so all entries are on Last name, First name.
Secondly, and more annoying, is that for some reason the directory starts with a lot of blank lines. I believe it's where "linked" entries from Skype, Twitter, FB, Google+, etc (yes, I am a social networking addict) don't have proper contact cards - since I can't see the entries on the Incredible S I don't know which I need to add..
Do any one know of a way of configuring the rSAP profile to swap first, last name and filter on which parts of the adressbook to sync?
Any advice (that don't ask me to change car or phone )?

Uninstalled Skype which cleaned up most of the blank lines, but not all.
Anyone managed to figure out how rSAP can be setup?

Anyone with Android Source played with contacts?

I'm irked with lack of support for contacts with NO first name or last name (e.g. if I have a business in my Google Contacts on GMAIL) that has NO first name or last name [e.g. Joe's Cleaners]) The G1 refuses to show the contact when searched on the contact list. If I type in "Joe" it will result in nothing. If I scroll to the j's it will be THERE!
Another side effect of this is if I sync contacts to my car (via standard handsfree BT) the contacts for businesses (no first name or last) show up as blank on the car under Name.
I can't be the only one who see's this as an issue. Have any devs with source thought about a modified contacts; e.g. pushing those changes as suggestion to this issue on Google Tracker:

I'm willing to collaborate with someone on this - in my free time.

[Q] Some Problems with WP7

Hello there ;
I have some problems with my HTC HD7 and i wish i can find a hand here
1- Bluetooth problem :
I can't receive any thing from any Bluetooth enabled Device or computer
it always says NOT SUPPORTED
Besides there is no option to send any thing from the phone
2- #hash numbers#
I can't call any hash numbers (services numbers) which is used from many purposes like knowing my credit , enabling roaming and so on.
ie: *#555# is for knowing the credit
3- Location
is not working with me and i need Google maps which is world wide, How can i get it ?
4- Other Browsers
I need other browser than IE coz i hate this Browser
5- Contacts management
- If i want to delete 90 contacts ,shall i delete them one by one ? "Mass management" .
- If i want to see the Contacts in the SIM card without copying them to the phone memory , How can i do this ?
- Some of my friends have more than one mobile phone, so i need to add these mobile phones to their contact card without adding it as a home phone or the office phone, because adding it as a home or office phone doesn't show The texting Option so i can't send them SMS to this phone no.
- How can i manage these contacts via my Computer , Backup , Edit and Synchronize them?
thanks in advance
Hi,
If you have, or get a Hotmail or Windows Live email address, set it up on your phone, then after you import your contacts to that website they will appear on your phone.
It seems a stupid way to have to do it instead of just plugging it into your computer but it does work. I took 592 contacts across that way.
For the location bit, mine came with Maps on it. I think it's Bing maps and works sort of ok but not as good as Google Maps.
Bluetooth only seems to connect to headsets. It's no use for getting info from another device. I've only had my phone a week but i haven't found a way to bluetooth a contact to another phone yet.
anyway good luck with it.
#646# works for me.
Bluetooth is indeed useless unless you have a headset.
Another browser? You'll have to buy it!
Location works fine but no Google Maps
Contact management is one of the nice things about this OS, it merges into one single place the info from Google, Hotmail and Facebook.
- hash numbers work perfectly fine for me too.
- I have seen some browsers in marketplace, I really like the SurfCube Browser, amazing and innovative design.
Some other great browsers: Browser Plus, Metro Web Browser and 7 Tab Browser.
- For your friends who have more than one mobile number, you can create multiple contacts and then link them together into one contact. This is what i did.

I had that problem with my google account when I started with Android, I sorted the contacts I wanted into My Contacts as that is the list that seems to be sync'd. I'm not sure if Live has a similar system but as my Live list is really just a duplicate of my google contacts I couldn't say.
I've deleted contacts but it always seems to remain in my mail, but you could try adding a fake contact sync'ing to the phone then removing it from the phone and resync'ing

For the video/music history, there is no way to just clear it and have it blank. You need to watch another video, or play some music, just do something else within the music/video category and you will find that it updates your history accordingly.
And as for contacts, you need to take a look at the accounts you have sync'd and clean them up (that would be your Windows Live Hotmail Contacts, Google Contacts, etc. etc.). Also, if you have Facebook linked, and you don't want to see all your Facebook contacts, you can go into the options and have it hide your Facebook contacts.

[Q] where are the Contacts databases?

Hi folks. I'm struggling with my droid 3 and it's contacts upload to my car (VM bluetooth system). The contacts that are uploaded don't match those that exists in my contacts - some are missing, and there are some extras in the list. The contacts view on my phone shows only those contacts that I've defined in my google account.
Is there a contact list somewhere on the phone that's different than the one that is sync'd with google? I've tried to "un-verizon" the phone as much as I could, but I wonder if there's another database that the bluetooth passes to the car - perhaps managed by the blur update agent?

[Q] Pioneer AVH-4100NEX - reading contacts from Moto X

I am really stumped here...
When I first installed the NEX, my contacts where being sync'd from iCloud to my mobile devices via "Smoothsync for Cloud Contacts". This has always worked flawlessly and when I first paired my phone, the contacts were instantly read by the Pioneer and shown in its phone book.
But... I noticed that I could not send a hangout message to any of my contacts using the voice command. Evidently there is some required profile info Google applies behind the scenes to "Google" contacts that was not present in my "iCloud to Contacts" method of getting contacts from my Mac to my Android devices.
So, I moved my contacts to "Google Contacts", removed the Smoothsync account from my phone (removing my contacts from "Contacts"), and enabled syncing from my Google account. After a fresh sync, my contacts were once again displayed in the "Contacts" app, and within a few minutes I could send hangouts messages using the voice commands without getting the annoying "no profile" error.
But then I notice that only the "Me" contact is shown in the Pioneer's phone book. I delete the pairing on both devices, reboot, clear cache, re-pair, etc, etc, etc, and no change. I then edit my "Me" record on the phone and reconnect to the Pioneer and the edits are seen by the Pioneer... so it is obviously connecting to and reading from the phone contact's.
I then create a new contact on the phone, just to rule out something being munged by the contacts now in Google Contacts synced from my Mac, reconnect to the Pioneer, and still just the "Me" entry.
I can also export my contacts to a vcf file and send that over bluetooth to the Pioneer and they imported properly, so nothing seems to be munged with the data.
Now I know that I don't really need this, but the fact that it is behaving unexpectedly is driving me NUTS (I know, OCD)!
PLEASE... someone who is familiar with this mechanism... help me figure this out.
Thanks!
