Eh - What carrier are you with ? If you Flashed overcome then possibly you added an incorrect radio ?
The link (for me anyways) to Overcome's Install Guide is down, however I have
pasted below some important info from my own copy of it LoL.
---------------------------------------------------------------
If you’re using a GSM-based GT-P1000 Tab (Asia/Europe/ Middle East/Oceania/Africa, rest of the world, etc), look for the “JPZ Modem” folder and select the “modem.bin” file.
If you’re a North American T-MOBILE Tab user, look for the “T-Mobile Modem” folder and select the “modem.bin” file.
If you’re an AT&T (USA), TelCel (Mexico – if you’re not using the GT-P1000L Tab) and Telstra (Australia) user, look for the “JK3 Modem” folder and select the “modem.bin” file. It doesn’t matter if you prefer another modem, you can flash another modem, once you’re done…
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope it helps you out - Good Luck
-peace-
****EDIT--- Now I see you're with T-mobile. Radios for them are a little tricky cause you can't have 3G data and phone service on the same radio.(At the same time) You need to flash the proper modem.bin for data only.
You may need to manually input your APN. Use wap.voicestream.com just to connect and test.
Its better for you to flash again using odin but dont forget to put your phone modem.it is a modem.bin file.and you have to flash it together with gt pit and the gb stock safe.

I've searched for days through XDA forums but I finally gave up searching for answers and decided to start this thread in hopes of getting help.
I have a stock Captivate running Android 2.1
I would like my phone to be running:
1. I900 Galaxy S Rom - European Version
2. a modem file which will enable the US 3G radio that's built into the Captivate.
My understanding is that simply installing a European Rom version will take away the phone's capability to connect to the 850mhz frequency of ATT since the European Galaxy S only supports 900/1900/2100 bands so installing the correct modem file is important.
I don't care which Rom is used but a Froyo Rom would be nice.
Can anybody please tell me what files I need to download (tar, pit, csc, md5, etc.) and how to use them (which exact slots to put the files in using Odin 3).
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you so much!

There's a couple other ROMs that are similar in nature.
I just installed I9000XWJS3 on my I9000T however I lost 850 band, I would like to know if is it safe to install JL2 Modem found on this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=906977
They have note in there that reads
"NOTE: If you have a Bell i9000M, do the following to (hopefully) prevent your internal SD card from dying:
1. Upgrade to JL2 using either Kies (recommended) or Odin (make sure to check Bootloader Update)."
Do I have to check Bootloader Update option since mine is a I9000T?
Also when going to menu *#1234# I got this
PDA: I9000XWJS3
PHONE:I9000XXJPY
CSC: Unknown
How can I fix CSC? which one is compatible with my current device settings?
Thanks in advance
Which modem file should I choose when installing the Overcome ROM? the info for my PDA and Phone both start with P1000, I'm thinking I should choose the JMF Modem but what if I choose to go with a carrier eventually and I want to use AT&T will this modem effect it? and can I choose the AT&T modem file which would be the JK3 Modem or would that brick my tab? please, I would greatly appreciate any one who could answer me back quickly I'm trying to flash this ROM as im typing this have ODIN ready to go and just waiting to see what my best bet is with these Modem files. thank you
JMF modem works well with almost all carriers including AT&T. Only T mobile US is problematic. If you have signal or data transfer issues or the jk3 works better for you then flash it.
[Q] Flashed with Overcome "Jupiter" great but "Phone Info" incorrect
Hi all, I finally managed to restore my original IMEI from a backup thankfully after I flashed with "Overcome - Jupiter", everything else is great except for this,
My IMEI SV is now 05 instead of orig. 01.
I still get no connection to Optus eventhough I get full bars of service & the YES OPTUS network info on screen.
I also notice when I enter code - *#1234# - my info is as follows
PDA : P1000BGJP4
PHONE : I9000UGJK3
CSC : P1000OXAJQ1
I am running a Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000.
Why is it saying PHONE : I9000?
Can anyone assist
Thanks
why you don't try to re-stock with safe gingerbread v5 from samsung and then flash overcome ?
now i checked *#1234# and all are ok ? i think you need to restock with safe gingerbread that will wipe everything
Because the JK3 modem was origionally from a samsung i900.
You can make the baseband anything by flashing a different modem.bin with odin.
Go to the development section, and find the modem stickie, and take any modem you like, I'm using JPD but I'm probably going back to JK3 today.

So u recomend JK3? I am using the original modems that rotohammer used for the modem switch JL3 for the 2g+voice not sure wich one for the 3g, how can i change the modem to be used with modem switch. Thanks.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
First, you will only be able to use a different voice+EDGE modem. The Roto-3G modem can't be substituted.
Try out the modem for a few days in your area to see if it will be better than the current modem.
If you want to make it your permanent voice+EDGE modem, copy it to the modemswitch folder, rename the Roto-2G modem something else, like Roto-rooter, then rename your substitute modem Roto-2G.
You can easily reverse the process.
Hi all,
I've been searching around in XDA and Google for info but can't seems to find anything useful.
The I9000 that I'm using, doesn't support UMTS 850 (also known as Telstra NextG), which I thought can be enabled by replacing the Modem/Radio. So I looked around on how to do this.
I tried the keys to "enable" the 850 but doesn't work.
So my only option is to replace the modem/radio.
Anyone kind enough to show me what is the latest modem/radio that supports UMTS 850 by default for I9000 and how to replace them, eg. is it the "phone" and "CSC" file?
I'm noob but knows how to use odin. Just wanted to be sure on how to replace it properly.
Just to clarify as well on below as the info I'm getting is always patchy.
* Is the Radio/Modem from other models or similar models, are compatible with each other?
* Radio or Modem means the same?
* In Odin, PIT file is the partition information required when you are re-partitioning, is that right?
* In Odin, Bootloader is kernel file, is that rigtht?
* In Odin, PDA file is the firmware itself, is that right?
* In Odin, what PDA stands for?
* In Odin, Phone file is the Radio/Modem, is that right?
* In Odin, CSC is the location aka branded phone, is that right?
Apology for all the questions but noob needs information
My phone specs below
Model: GT-I9000
Android ver.: 4.0.4
Baseband: I9000XXJVK
Kernel: 3.0.8-g4dc1367pinky-ghost
ROM: MIUI-2.5.11
Cheers,
John
Some modems are compatible with other devices but not all.
*Radio/Modem are same things.
*Yes, PIT file is partionning info required in case of re-partitionning.
*Bootloader isn't kernel file, it's the thing who order the phone booting (get verification).
*In Odin, PDA is the kernel file.
*In Odin PHONE is the firmware himself.
*In Odin, the CSC square is the modem/radio file.
This questions can appear silly but it's the only way to learn, all masters passed by this path ^^.
To use your UMTS mode try this Modem and reply me results :

For me UGJL2 Or UGKG3, or if you have so much luck you can use TUMJP4(I didnt had success searching it), the first two are fine though. Google them and flash them with clockworkmod recovery.
