Hello everyone! I would like to install a rom in my x8 but, having no time to test all the roms, and I would like one that is stable, fast, best play and long battery life.
I saw the topic of rom these five that look very interesting:
- Gingercrutz
- GingerDX
- GingerXperia
- Kuyadroid
- MiniCM7
I have read and reread the various topics of the rom, but they seem to be similar, and I do not know which one to choose between these five.
Among these five who do you recommend? I want a rom that once installed does not have to always update.
Sorry for my English.

Its all up to you which rom you like the most, there is no better rom all roms are good, so its up to decide which rom you like....just try them and see its only 15 minutes to install......
P.S. I like GC7.4 the mmost but its only me

GingerCruzt! Faster than GDX, good battery performance, Xperia look, nice for games!
BTW all those ROMs are stable.

Yes they should....developer of this rom is.busy but when he get some time we will have new version... If you asking me this version is so perfect that it dont need any update....

true but why It usually lags when playing accelerometer games for example abduction 2 ?

I have found a fix for GingerDX. It works with GingerCrutz ?

if u want stability then go for froyopro v1.1 or v2.2
if u want features then go for gb rom ,i use stornmix v2.2

Use minicm6, It is very fast and bugless

If your using stock kernel then kuyadroid is a great rom. V4.4.253 is the newest and availible on page 106 of kuyadroid thread. If your using custom kernel then I can't help you yet, I'm still testing. Gingerxperia 21b with alfs v6 seems bugless after 3 days, 54% battery left without charge in airplane mode.

the most terrible is stornmix v2.2

MiniCM, GingerXperiaRay, GingerCruzt ...

what is best in terms of stability and speeds? dont really mind features or design since i only wan the ginger bread feel =) any recommend? pls pm me!

I would say you choose heroDroid. It's looks like the developer did not use any launcher (in my opinion). I've been using this since the day it was launched. I did not encountered any bugs that is why I used it as a daily ROM.

What would you recommend for everyday use?
My bootloader is still locked because I got very bad experience with that

hi ive downloaded cm7 nightly for my x8 but there is no radio on it and the voice search and search dialer dont work i get an audio error
any help please

Minicm 2.1.8 with naa v10 is very goog rom,in minicm radio is working Flash phone with seus

Try install rom again, if even this still not working, try another rom

Tried installing again no change it must have no radio

Let me lay it out to you: The CM7 Shakira ROM, developed by the FreeXperia Team, is NOT feature complete and since they ceased further development (only bug fixing as they see fit) it's not actively developed.
This ROM is by no means fit for everyday usage, nor is it free of bugs (on the contrary, that thing is buggy like hell).
You're better off using nAa's Kernel and MiniCM7 combo or any other Gingerbread custom ROM.

Hi guys, im just new into the SE world (Used before a Samsung galaxy)
Ok the think is that now I have a X8 E15a and im looking to install a custom rom, actually i received it with fw 2.1 Update 1. and as far as i know it is actually rooted (Have CWM)
What is the best rom available right now? im looking for perfomance and battery life
and is there a wiki or FAQ to read before flashing?

In my opinion Shin Engine ™ MOD4 STOCK. With this rom I can play most games perfectly without overclocking. I tried GingerDX and others, but I prefer the shin engine.

You'll find all recent ROMs in the development section. Decide your ROM based on your personal liking. There is no such thing as best ROM. The ROM changes its performance based on your usage. That means everyone has a different experience.

If you set your theme chooser with ice cream, the rom has no bug.

PrimeHD v8 for sure.

I would recommend you MiniCM7 with nAa kernel, it's stable, fast and customizable.

i'm running gingerdx v26 and no stability issues. I ran gdx 18 prior to this. You should go check it out. Changed my launcher to launcherpro though.

MiniCM7 is fast and stable, everything working (I used this for 4months+ as daily ROM).
MiniCM9 is very nice but still new so has a few teething problems (e.g. hardware video encoding/decoding not working yet) - Once the bugs have been fixed this will be an amazing ROM.

If u want just performance go for GingerDX....its very stable runs smoothly on STock Kernel...its lighter compared to Zencefil...But try them both to be sure....

Gingerdx my first rom on x8 and fastest rom....you can also try prime hd.....

Minicm7 - 2.2.1 is the most powerful. Dont doubt on it...
