Hello!
I have tried to install MiniCM on my SE x8 (E15i)
My phone is rooted, xrecovery is installed, busybox installed, Bootloader unlocked
I run this from xrecovery -> 1 : msm7227
2 : MiniCM7-2.1.6-X8
3 : gapps-gb-20110613-signed
BUT when I try to flash the kernel ( E15_nAa-07_2.6.29.6-nAa-07.ftf )
It says flashing kernel and then flashing aborded
I havent done this before! Please tell me where iam going wrong, Because I dont know how to do it step by step!
I had come to xda because my x10 was slow after update
and it became better than before thanks to xda team and members! So it gave me the courage to try this on my x8 which I was not using because of Android os 2.1..
Help will be appreciated .. I know xda wont let me down

I don't you can unlock your bootloader by running msm7227 from xRecovery! Have you checked whether you are successful after executing msm7227 from PC? use flahstool-1 to check!

Hey guys!
Found my old xperia x8 and i wanted to flash a new rom.
rooted it and installed xrecovery.
do i need to unlock the bootloader to flash a new rom?
Or just for the kernel?
you unlock your bootloader to flash a custom kernel. Some roms are for stock kernel and others are for customs. What rom do you want to install? Also you maybe will need cwm and not xrecovery.
