Hi everone, hope someone can help me.
I rooted my phone with SuperOneClick, installed Titanium Backup & ROM Manager. With ROM Manager, I flashed the latest MIUI rom & the phone performed perfectly for several weeks.
Not being satisfied with the speed, I decided to overclock the phone.
Yesterday, I did a stupid thing: I flashed "P999-cm-kernel-0.3.8-ext4-sv.zip" with ROM Manager and this action bricked my phone.
Now the phone will not boot. It is completely bricked.
Turning it on with or without the use of the volume buttons freezes the phone at the LG startup logo.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I know a shop in sheffield, uk which does jtag repair. Shops called funfoneshop, i have used them would recommend highly.
Hope you fix your phone mate

Hello!
You could try this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1229407
Or maybe easier flash one of these using smartflash....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1035041&highlight=firmware
If you can get into recovery - push power on and volume donw till 2nd logo shows up then release!
...flash latest CM7-Kang (see my sig)...just put it on the sd card using a card reader.
use nvflash. it will bring your phone to be unbricked again
Code:
http://android.modaco.com/topic/335474-25-mar-nvflash-stock-rom-release-v10b-dated-1300166062-15032011/
or use smartflash like medizinemann said above.
As @Medizinmann said use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1229407 I had the same problem and this helped me recover my phone! (no data loss!!!)
Didnt you flash recovery or can you not access it holding vol down while pressing power and hold both till blue lg logo appears then released. Install or backup from there

I have a similar problem, but I would liked to know if is there a way to backup my internal sd data before change the rom ?
Dear All,
First i installed cwm recovery from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1007863
, it was success but can't do nand backup, so i use rom manager and installed cwm recovery from there and success.
after that i choice boot into cwm recovery from rom manager, phone was restart but stuck in LG logo.
i tried to take out take in the batre and do normal boot on the result is same "stuck in lg logo"
i also tried to enter to cwm recovery by press power + vol down but still same stuck in lg logo
would you please help me ?
Are you holding your fingers on both power and vol down button for long enough? It can take up to 5-6 seconds to enter the CWM

also i already tried smartflash method same problem, there's no driver response

Try uninstalling all lg drivers associated with the phone, restart computer then reinstalling all the smartflash drivers then retry

Ohh no, Seems like I have the same problem
Ohh no.. Seems like I have the same problem.. The phone is stuck on the LG logo.
I installed the Cyanogen mod successfully, and everything seemed to work.
Then i started Rom manager to install Clockwork recovery. The clockwork mod was stuck the first time, don't know why!
So I restarted the phone, and tried installing the clockwork mod again, this time there were no problems.
After the clockwork mod was installed I wanted to install the Google addons, so I went to Download ROM, and pushed Google Addons. The phone asked for a restart, and during the restart I was stuck on LG logo.
I would be very very happy if anyone can help me?
Hi, i think you must use the nvflash reset-all-phone procedure.
Search google for "NVflash stock ROM release" and you'll find the procedure and the download links for APX drivers and zip with rom images and tools.
Good luck ! (I made the procedure 10 times in 3 days past bricking my phone..)

Thank you very much, I succeeded in doing a flash through nvflash, so now my phone works great again
Do you know if you can destroy the nvflash possibly? .. just so I know if I play with the phone as much as I want, and always get it working again with nvflash if something goes wrong

Hi all,
I recently got a samsung i9000 after owning an htc desire for a while.... I was more than happy with cm7 on the htc so i rooted etc and installed it on my galaxy... but it seems that its a bit more buggy on the i9000 port and i had loads of force closes and my phone was pretty unusable... so i then used clockwork recovery to install what i believed was the correct version of darky's rom 10.2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=814091) and now im stuck in a bootloop... when i turn it on for 'normal' use, the original GALAXY S logo comes up (the one that says SAMSUNG at the bottom of the screen.... then it switches to the GALAXY S logo with cyanogen(mod) underneath it, then it restarts and im back to the original SAMSUNG logo.
I've tried to enter download mode (vol down, home then power) and when i do this, it just restarts with the original logo in a loop until i let go, then the cyanogen(mod) logo comes up.
Ive downloaded kies and odin to a fresh machine, but when i connect the phone over usb, I get the litter circular timer icon lighting up my phone for a few seconds, then the cyanogen(mod) screen comes up for a few seconds.... and then reboots....
Anyone got a way out for me? ive been without a phone for a few days and its really hurting now!
So you can't get into download mode??, did you flash back to stock rom before flashing Darky's? Because with CM7 a froyo bootloader is needed, and with Darky's a GB bootloader is needed. If you can get into recovery, go to mounts and storage, format system, data, cache, and datadata. Then pull battery out and try getting into download mode again Vol down + home + power. Report back dude

No I'm afraid not, their are two other things you could try....using adb booting into download mode from their....or a jig....that will force it into download mode, u in the UK??
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
I guess you need a jig to get into download mode. after that, try to flash to different ROMs and see if you have fix the problem.
If you internal sd card is physically damaged, try this method here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1188482
Yep, Im in the UK.... I dont think the internal sd is damaged as it was fine before flashing darkies rom... Ive not used adb to try and force a 'download mode' before.... handy link to a tute?
sorry for my brevety, im quickly writing this at work!

Hello !
I have a big problem. I tried installing clockworkmod recovery. I'm standing at Rom manager. I dont know what I clickking. One time 1 click to reboot to recovery and I have a black screen.
I'm rooted a phone, and i downloaded rom manager from filecrop, i think non-trusted.
You shouldn't use ROM manager. If you can get into the downloading mod, flash through Odin. If not, you may have to go get your phone repaired.

Riff j-tag or omnia repair tool will help you (((

You should have read previous posts here before you even tried to use rom manager. A lot of cases already where rom manager bricked their phone. If you can still boot it in download mode, better flash a stock rom thru odin and cwm thru odin as well.. then you can install custom roms..

Thanks every1 for quick reply.
It's my friend's phone. I tried to use CTBeastDroid?'s guide. I copied a file from Dreaming-rc29 and I tried a Power + Home combo it didn't work. Can I do ? Please tell me step by step. I never use SGM. I'm formatted external sdcard by my Captivate(phone, it use for sdcard reader). I had a black screen. And my friend's phone didn't do nothing.
Hi
I can't access CWM because I flashed a new bootloader ROM by mistake (tonyp's paranoid rom), but I needed the one for the old one. When I turn on my device, I can't do anything, but that battery charging mode with the cable plugged works. The rom doesn't start, seems to be stuck in a bootloop (but I am not sure, it is not easy to see with that boot animation). My computer can't recognize my phone in any case so I don't know what to do know to use my phone again.
If somebody knows what to do, please describe that solution good ^.^
Thanks
wipe everything and start fresh my friend
Use AIO-Toolkit and flash CWM again or just change bootloader and it'll automatically boot you to recovery mode. Just back-up your files.

Thanks D It worked. I feel pretty embarrassed now because I thought AIO wouldn't work since I didn't know about nvflash and adx.
Thanks again
