[Q] Downgrade question bootloader 5.x? - HD7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Yes, I know, another downgrading thread. I hate posting this probably as much as you hate reading yet another one. I'm rather fond of my phone, you see, and I'd hate to turn it into a very nice looking paperweight if I could help it so I have a couple questions for the more versed than I.
Quick info:
My phone is a HTC HD7
Carrier: T-Mobile US
Software: 7.5
OS version: 7.10.7720.78
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51004.531
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio hardware: A.12.0.D4
Bootloader: 5.10.2250.0(132968)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
Found this under my battery, I remember that it's important but jeez, don't remember why off the top of my head: PD29 110 5VDC==1A
Questions:
1. Is it possible to get a custom ROM on this phone?
2. If it's possible then what's the safest way to go about downgrading the bootloader (assuming I even have to). I'm looking to put the nextgen+ ROM on here.
2.5. The reason I'm asking the downgrade question is even though I've read all the guides I'm still not 100% sure if I can actually do it without bricking my phone. I don't want to use a card thing. If I can't do it through just software on my computer or phone then for me right now it's not possible.
3. Once I downgrade the bootloader I should be able to figure it out from there, but to clarify, I just get it downgraded, flash the ROM and (insert some other yada yada click click here and there) voila?

Exactly in the same situation

New To HD7 and Windows - Need Help Flashing and Unlocking

Hi i just bought a HTC HD7 16Gb on eBay which is on o2 and thought il use the windows 7 mobile devices since the interface and overall phone is brilliant.
I want to unlock it (not sim unlock) and instal a custom ROM.
I cant remember what version the had when i opened it but im pretty sure it only said "Windows 7". I have now updated the phone and this is what i currently have.
Model HTC HD7 T9292
Software: Windows Phone 7.5
Total Storage :14.63
Available Storage: 13.75 GB
OS Version: 7.10.7720.68
Firmware Revision Number: 2250.21.40501.206
Hardware Revision Number: 0002
Radio Software Version: 5.69.09.29a_22.50.50.21U
Radio Hardware Version: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader Version: 4.5.2250.0(129291)
Chip SOC Version: 2.2.50
Now Sorry i know this question has been asked countless times but after reading for 3 hours i just want 2 make sure i do everything right so i don't want to end up with a brick. If i said any errors could you correct me please.
From what i understand The radio version isn't important but it is the Bootloader version that matters right? Bootloaders with 5.xxx need to be downgraded via a special way otherwise 4.xxx or lower bootloaders are ok however bootloader lower than 3xxx are better to have?.
Do i need to downgrade my OS version before i can even begin flashing?
Once you instal a custom ROM not all custom ROMS support being up datable via Zune without bright right?
So in simple terms can someone advise me the steps to first unlock my phone so i can instal my XAP files, then secondly how would i go about installing a custom ROM.
Thanks You and Sorry for the trouble.
hi Awofadeju
need more info .... phone mid number.... found on bootloader screen
first thing to do is check to see if your phone can be installed with Cotulla HSPL
if not supported dont waste any more of your time
1, yes you have to downgrade your OS to downgrade your hspl
2, ONLY after you have downgraded your Hspl... then install Cotulla HSPL
3, some custom roms are updatable via zune but not recommended
4, sh4d0w86 has the best install instructions HERE
5, read sh4d0w86 instructions and follow his steps....link....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295068
cheers and have a gr8 day

[Q] Bell HTC HD7-9295, Looking for Internet Sharing

Hey there, I've been digging through this forum for hours and can't seem to find what I was looking for so I figured I'd ask. I'm new to flashing custom roms (This is the first time I've decided to go about doing so) and as such am a complete newbie at this so sorry if I come off as slow.
I have an HTC HD7 (9295) running on Bell mobility and after several calls to tech support on both the Bell and HTC side I can't get either of them to tell me when I can expect internet sharing, as such I've decided "Screw waiting for the official update there has to be another way".
From what I've gathered there are lots of roms with internet sharing enabled on them however all of them that I've found mention HTC_Europe. I live in Canada not Europe and can't seem to see ANY roms that make reference to Canada, America, or NA.
The other part I'm a little stumped on is everywhere says not to use certain roms if my firmware is 4.xx (which it is, as per below) and plenty of places say to "Downgrade to an older version first" BUT I can't seem to find out how, all the versions with the 1.xx and 2.xx firmware have warnings saying "Don't use this if you have 4.xx or 5.xx" /facepalm
How do I go about getting Internet Sharing, thats all I care about. Either through a custom rom or a workaround to install another carriers update that will turn IS on without making my phone a paperweight?
My "About"
OS Version: 7.10.8107.79
Firmware Revision Number: 2250.21.40502.666
Hardware Revision Number: 0002
Radio Software Version: 5.69.09.29a_22.50.50.21U
Radio Hardware Version: A.24.0.D4
Bootloader Version: 4.5.2250.0(129185)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
HELP
EDIT: Okay so I -THINK- I have this figured out but would like a "Yes that will work" from someone before I start
1- to drop bootloader down from 4.x I simply flash a NoDo Rom (Like Schubert_BellMobility_WWE_2.16.666.02_Radio_5.64.09.11a_22.40.50.15U.7z)
2- Once I've rolled back the boot loader I install RSPL via "Task 00", then I Install HSPL via "Task 00"
3- Once I've installed the HSPL I can then flash the Deepshining Rom
Point of Concern 1) Now, This ROM states it's "Based on Shipped Tango ROM HTC Europe build 7.10.8773.98" does this mean It will only work with European Bands? Or will it work with my Bell SIM card on the Bell Network in Canada?
Point of Concern 2) If all this goes to hell, how hard is it to get back to the state I'm in now? (AKA Everything works but I don't have internet sharing at least until Bell pulls their head out of their *** and releases the drivers)

[Q] Can I use Ansar method to downgrade?

Hi guys,
I'm fairly new to any sort of mobile unlocking/custom ROMS.
I'm looking to install Deepshining v8 on my HTC HD7.
After some research I've learnt that I need to downgrade my phone's SPL, as it's above 5.
I was wondering if it could be accomplished using Ansar's method (I couldn't find a concrete answer).
It would also be appreciated if anyone could point me in the direction of what files to downgrade with.
Here are my firmware and bootloader values:-
OS version: 7.10.8773.98
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51101.401
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader version: 5.11.2250.0(134578)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
Thanks for any help.

[Q] Can updating bootloader fix halfbricked bootloader?

Hi, im new on xda developers, new to WP and in need of some help cause i have a HD7, want to upgrade to custom roms but haven't seen a thread about fixing a bricked bootloader by upgrading SPL?
im from the philippines and currently having a problem finding a Y Cable for the gold card method...im thinking bout making one if i can't find a made one :fingers-crossed:
my htc details are:
HTC HD7 T9292
OS version: 7.10.7740.16
Firmware Revision: 2250.21.51004.401
Hardware Revision: 0002
Radio Software: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U

Help please HD7 custom rom

Hi I'm wondering if someone can help me, I've upgraded to the Nokia Lumia 920 several months ago now and am intending on giving my old phone to my Mum, I've been reading through the forum on the whole process of Bootloaders, SPL, Roms etc and its really confusing me so was hoping someone could point me in the right direction and let me know what I need to do as simple as possible.
The main intention of the custom rom is to get the WP 7.8 update and to be able to install the Nokia Drive navigation app. The phone info is;
Model: HTC HD7 T9292 - Its on O2 UK network and has always only been used on stock official firmware.
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51101.206
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader version: 5.11.2250.0(134400)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
So basically I'd like to know if its even possible to do this phone, preferably without having to get cables and stuff etc.
Thanks for any help!

The simplest answer:
NO!
Your bootloader is over version 3.XX
The only method for a downgrade + custom ROM is goldcard method.
Period!

only if the device is NOT half bricked (bootloader doesn't show USB or Serial in the white stripe), if the bootloader is OK (shows USB or Serial) you are good to go, BUT I have never tried this method.
