I'm sorry...but can U try to get to an official ROM from Zune? If so, perhaps you can flash an "official" Rom...im just guessing...perhaps this works...also, have U spoken to HTC about it?
Official Rom from Zune?
Last night i have tried something with the informations from this forum.
First Flash
RUU_Schubert_HTC_Europe_1.16.401.01_Radio_5.51.09.06a_22.30.50.09_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE
Second Flash
RUU_Schubert_HTC_Europe_1.60.401.01_Radio_5.52.09.16_22.33a.50.10_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE
Third Flash
RUU_Schubert_HTC_Europe_1.69.401.01_Radio_5.54.09.21_22.33b.50.10_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE
But the compass dont wont work. I searched for the compas in market place and cant find it. But other applications thats use the internal compas tells me there is no compas
yesterday i have mailed with HTC but the informations are laughable they told me that i must call microsoft.

was just going to suggest flashing Shipped ROMs, but you already seemed to have done that.
why hadn't you just flashed the stock Shipped ROM with Mango?
supposedly, that one OTA update after Mango fixes issues with Compass.
can't say for certain, though, haven't gotten that update.
Hi Shadow,
its a O2 germany handy and i have flashed it to shipped europe.
my device was on mango and i have the troubles with the compas
because of the problem my flashing orgie begins and the result was a halfbrick...
ok the update is done and can i tell you IT WORKS... i think it works my first try to check the function was the JaefreyGPS lite and now iam able to set the internal compas.
I think I was too hasty with my request
sorry people but many many thanks for your help and to this forum

No, not receiving but if you don't want to wait use cabsender (offline) to update your firmware. I use stock RUU_Schubert_S_HTC_Europe_5.10.401.04_Radio_5.71.0 9.02a_22.51.50.21 which I have recooked leaving everything like stock but with full unlock. After flashing the recooked rom I've used cabsender to update to my native language (dutch) and the 7.10.7740 update cab. HSPL didn't change and I've kept my full unlock. Current firmware 7.10.7740.16 revision firmware 2250.21.51004.401 radio 5.71.09.02a_22.51.21u
In your case it is best to downgrade your spl and to hspl first and to do an offline update with cabsender because of the risk to end up with a 5.X bootloader which can't be hspl'd at the moment and a downgrade is also impossible with that bootloader.
Also when starting with your rom revision you will probably won't get internet sharing in settings. I've tried that with the same rom revision and hspl, and after the offline 7740 update with cabsender I ended up with the 7.10.7740.16 revision .... without the internet sharing in settings.
Thanks for the hint, and as although I haven't received yet the official Zune notification, I'd prefer to continue waiting for it. I hope I’ll continue being patience!
Thanks again.
I just got the 7740.16 MS update but not yet the HTC firmware update.

I got the 7740 update on my unlocked/sim free HD7 on friday, but after the update, there's still no Internet sharing (what's bloody going on?)

Hi BetoX,
I have the same software version and recently installed 7740.16, but no HTC update.
Contacted HTC support a few times,
1st answer was 'The Internet Sharing option is only for new devices that ship with Windows Phone 7.5' wtf!
2nd answer was 'We do not have official confirmation as to whether your device will receive this update'.
Contacted WindowsPhoneSupport next,
they said the Internet Sharing update is determined by Mobile Operator and OEM, it has nothing to do with them.
If HTC requires Mobile Operator approval for this feature update, this could mean there's no unbranded firmware to come.
We may need to rebrand to either T-Mobile or O2.
Don't know where to begin on that, just need to make sure the phone remains unlocked because I'm not on either of those networks.
Picked up my HD7 on eBay, it arrived unbranded and unlocked to work with Wind Mobile up here in Canada.

Funny,

Haven't tried Internet Sharing yet - was working before the update (I use for my WiFi Kindle Touch) so I hope this didn't screw it up.
Visual Voicemail's online
Funny, I have not received the MS 7740 update though; still at 7720...

So, I decided to install since my Zune app prompted me to upgrade. Nothing (almost) changed. I see not a different functionality change and they only 'visible' change is on the Firmware revision.
BEFORE: Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51003.531
AFTER: Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51004.531
Nothing else changed (radio, bootloader, OS, etc.)

Just finished the update, seeing the same numbers as yours. Internet Sharing appears in Settings.
HTC Update (Taiwan)
added internet sharing
may include update for zune freeze bug...(per local htc source)
firmware upgraded to 225021.500002.707
radio upgrade to 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Since Mango update mid-september, this is the 4th pushed update (7740.16 and 3 firmware upgrades)... all went smoothly as butter.
cheers y'all
UPDATE: last night, finally I received the notification to update the HTC tethering.
Yep, just got the update on unbranded polish HD7
Yes, I know, another downgrading thread. I hate posting this probably as much as you hate reading yet another one. I'm rather fond of my phone, you see, and I'd hate to turn it into a very nice looking paperweight if I could help it so I have a couple questions for the more versed than I.
Quick info:
My phone is a HTC HD7
Carrier: T-Mobile US
Software: 7.5
OS version: 7.10.7720.78
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51004.531
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio hardware: A.12.0.D4
Bootloader: 5.10.2250.0(132968)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
Found this under my battery, I remember that it's important but jeez, don't remember why off the top of my head: PD29 110 5VDC==1A
Questions:
1. Is it possible to get a custom ROM on this phone?
2. If it's possible then what's the safest way to go about downgrading the bootloader (assuming I even have to). I'm looking to put the nextgen+ ROM on here.
2.5. The reason I'm asking the downgrade question is even though I've read all the guides I'm still not 100% sure if I can actually do it without bricking my phone. I don't want to use a card thing. If I can't do it through just software on my computer or phone then for me right now it's not possible.
3. Once I downgrade the bootloader I should be able to figure it out from there, but to clarify, I just get it downgraded, flash the ROM and (insert some other yada yada click click here and there) voila?
Exactly in the same situation
Hi i just bought a HTC HD7 16Gb on eBay which is on o2 and thought il use the windows 7 mobile devices since the interface and overall phone is brilliant.
I want to unlock it (not sim unlock) and instal a custom ROM.
I cant remember what version the had when i opened it but im pretty sure it only said "Windows 7". I have now updated the phone and this is what i currently have.
Model HTC HD7 T9292
Software: Windows Phone 7.5
Total Storage :14.63
Available Storage: 13.75 GB
OS Version: 7.10.7720.68
Firmware Revision Number: 2250.21.40501.206
Hardware Revision Number: 0002
Radio Software Version: 5.69.09.29a_22.50.50.21U
Radio Hardware Version: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader Version: 4.5.2250.0(129291)
Chip SOC Version: 2.2.50
Now Sorry i know this question has been asked countless times but after reading for 3 hours i just want 2 make sure i do everything right so i don't want to end up with a brick. If i said any errors could you correct me please.
From what i understand The radio version isn't important but it is the Bootloader version that matters right? Bootloaders with 5.xxx need to be downgraded via a special way otherwise 4.xxx or lower bootloaders are ok however bootloader lower than 3xxx are better to have?.
Do i need to downgrade my OS version before i can even begin flashing?
Once you instal a custom ROM not all custom ROMS support being up datable via Zune without bright right?
So in simple terms can someone advise me the steps to first unlock my phone so i can instal my XAP files, then secondly how would i go about installing a custom ROM.
Thanks You and Sorry for the trouble.
hi Awofadeju
need more info .... phone mid number.... found on bootloader screen
first thing to do is check to see if your phone can be installed with Cotulla HSPL
if not supported dont waste any more of your time
1, yes you have to downgrade your OS to downgrade your hspl
2, ONLY after you have downgraded your Hspl... then install Cotulla HSPL
3, some custom roms are updatable via zune but not recommended
4, sh4d0w86 has the best install instructions HERE
5, read sh4d0w86 instructions and follow his steps....link....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295068
cheers and have a gr8 day
thanks button is next to qoute button
Hello, I have an HTC HD7 that I recently bought. Discovered all the unlocking methods have went down so I only have the option to flash to a custom ROM now.
My phone details are as follows:
OS version: 7.10.8107.79
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51202.531
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.12.0.D4
Bootloader version: 5.12.2250.0(135916)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
Sorry if I posted too much details but I don't know which ones matter so yeah. Thanks to anyone who replies and I'd really love to get some links with procedures if it's doable. New on WP7 so a total noob!
try the tutorial; link in my signature.
At the step where I have to download a Nodo or Pre-Nodo firmware, can I download any of those provided in the list for TMOUS as I have a T-Mobile US unlocked phone?

yes, as long at it is a the same 'branding' as your 'stock' device.
so, if your device is TMOUS branded then any Pre-Mango TMOUS should be fine.
