Within the last week of two one of the mobile blog sites had a posting listing their favorite customized launchers/themes as sent in by readers. I forgot to star the stupid thing, and now I can find it. Does anyone remember it? It most likely come from: Gizmodo, pocketnow, endgadget, or techcruch.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Evidently there is a new TouchFlo operating environment coming from HTC. Anybody knows anything about it? There is considerable detail on BoyGenius and it refers to the url shown below:
http://htcinsider.blogspot.com/2008/01/manila-arrives.html
There is also another site with more details:
http://wmexperts.com/articles/rumors/touchflo_ii_aka_manilla_leaked.html
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=363500
Amazing, all these people using iruja's screen shots (from TWO days ago I might add) and not even so much as to link back to the post.
Interestingly, I searched the forum for the word Manilla before I posted the thread and it found nothing. In retrospect, I realize that it probably searched only the Kaiser/Kaiser part and not the whole Kaiser, which I thought it was searching. I apologize for the duplication in the information.

Appreciate the heads up, though the link for www.4winmobile.com still works and re-directs you to www.smartphonegurus.com which will help anyone who doesn't read this
Indeed A lot of planning went into the migration, it's not just the main URL which translates across but all topics from the old site too!
Oh and worth mentioning:
If you use Twitter you can now follow us at http://twitter.com/sphonegurus
or if prefered we are on Facebook you can find our profile page here: http://www.facebook.com/smartphonegurus
Both accounts will be fed with any news, reviews, editorials or otherwise hot information from the site!

I bet that was a mess. I've done some migrating URLs in Wordpress and you have to a lot of search and replace in the database. Its all over the place and the URL is hardcoded. Not fun.
But once the database is modified, some htaccess 301 redirects are the easy part.
I've been down that route before, not pleasant.
At least with the IPB software both convertors and relink scripts are provided which handle a lot of the simple things.
I'm about to be switching phones from winmo to android. I was wondering what other sites y'all used for research, tips, ect. Other sites like wmpoweruser, ppcgeeks and fuzemobility for android. Something with lots of app reviews, wallpapers, tip & tricks, would be nice.

XDA.... Engadget... The Nexus One forum on the google website... androidcentral... yada yada... you'll find places when you google something specific
Yes I know giyf. But if you look in the yellow pages for coffee houses, you'll find a ton of places, but won't know anything about them. If you ask a freind where to get a good cup, he'll tell you about a couple places and maybe a speciallty drink they have.
I found xda way back when I was just googling fuze tips and tricks. Not wanting to unlock, hack, flash my phone, just personalize it and make it cooler than it was already. What I mostly found were review sites linking to here for mods and roms, not what I was looking for. After searching around for a couple months, finally found a couple sites I liked.
I was just trying to save some time and ask what sites a friend would like.

Hello everyone, I'd do a search, but I don't even know what to use as keywords so here I go.
I'm looking for a website that has a list for commom problems and solutions for a lot of phones, but I can't remember its name. I just remember it's green, ugly and has a bunch of white cells with short info on every specific problem.
Is there a kind soul that can help me with a link to that site? Thanks a lot and I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong section.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately, that's not the site.
Hi guys. I have created a spreadsheet to classify the new lollipop roms, and i want to share it with you.
There are several threads (thanks) for rom indexes, but this is a real-time collaborative one. I know, it can be a mess if people start deleting other people work.
Anyhow i will let the spreadsheet online for a few days. If nobody uses it or people breaks it, i will delete it.
Feel free to update it, add new roms, or post ideas. I don't guarantee any kind of support, the idea is to be collaborative.
Here is the google spreadsheet:

I think xda should create a web tool for debdv's. Every developer could enter the main info of his rom, and we would be able to see it like a table. We could do filters for device, android version, etc. I think it would be nice.
I don't think it will happen, because they want us to flash every single ROM and spend hours deciding what one we like.
Even the titles and original posts no longer seem to be updated. I've searched many threads trying to find a lollipop ROM with a black theme (not dark grey). I found newer versions mentioned towards the last couple pages of a thread, that weren't mentioned in the original post.
I know it's extra work but man it's difficult to sort through the different ROMs when the thread op lacks so much info.
