Hmmm.. Then i suggest you to wait for few more days. ICS is coming for us. as soon ics leak comes out , the most waiting CM9 will be ready for us.
Rocket rom is good if you like a speedy themed rom. Checkrom is also another good rom.used both

Clocks and voltage are kernel related.
If you want to oc and uv for yourself go for AbyssNote Kernel from angelom (which an out-dated one is included in the RocketRom from eyebee) since it has a clock frequency set range from 100-1704 MHz and a huge list of governors to choose from. Be careful though your phone can easily getting hot with this kernel by ocing it.
However it seems the franco.kernel is a little bit better for battery and has smoother animations while navigating through your phone with some third party launcher while suffering low fps in some games I've tested. I do not know the voltages for each frequency from franco.kernel. You can't change them either (with apps like voltage control or SetCPU).
cool i was thinking of waiting for the ics roms but i am very impatient and liek to fix things that arent broke
i will read up on some of these roms both speed and check sound like what im looking for
There is alot of good roms and developers here its hard to tell you which one is perfect it realy depends what direction you looking at stability battery life new futures etc... i personaly use Criskelo after long searching i found my perfect one good luck.
My favorites: Cassie's XL, Darky and CheckROM.
I could suggest You to try CheckRom, fast and reliable with Abysskernel 3.8 version 2.
If You want to try, a good rom is also Darkyrom 3.3 with Franciscofranco Kernel n.4 but I find the last one a little bit unstable even if a well developed kernel.
Just my 2 cents
gave in and am now playing with checkromv5 and just installed abysskernel see how these go , and oc'd it to 1600
Been with Rocket ROM since V1 until V22. Just flashed Criskelo 3 days ago and it's working superbly. Battery life is great!
So far, Criskelo rocks!
alpha never dies and abyssnote kernel v4.0 final
well i have no issues that i have noticed not sure on battery life yet if its better than stock or not will need a few days to see how it averages out
what benefits would rocketrom have over checkrom or is it just a personal preferance ?
checkrom v5..
I what to ask to all of you which is the best, smoothest and fastest Rom of our Device..i9001
I want the review of your usage and some data, like bench and battery duration

Rwview of ►Simplistic Plus◄ 2.0 rom
Hi everyone this is my PERSONAL review of the ►Simplistic Plus◄ 2.0 rom
I've to start with this ROM becose for me i's the best, the smoothest and with less lag than ever.
GOOD;
The strength of the rom is the BATTERY LIFE...i can stay 3 day (with no so much intensive useand juice defender) without recharge it..IMPRESSIVE
-In the daily usage i've detected only few lag when you unlock (premise i like to use Go Launcher ex,with other launcher the lag is minor like 360 launcher,LauncherPro and the TwLauncher).
-I'm realy impressive of the wifi usage,i had really big problem with others Roms but in this is very stable and does not conflict with juice defender
-The Ram Management is perfect for me,about 90\70 mb free. With Go Taskmanager you can free the ram to 160\140 mb
-No problem with incoming call, sms, gps or the camera
To IMPROVE;
-I realy like the Gingerbread style but i think the Ics style should be implemented to ensure that the rom is in step with the times
-In some rom i've found the possibilty to change the loocksreen theme without use lockerapp like Golocker or MiLocker, would be nice
BAD;NOTHING FOR MY USE,some lugs but just few istant and no force closed

Review of - broodROM RC5 -
Hi there,me again this time the review is on The broodROM RC5.
I flash the rom using the CWM Recovery file found in the page of the [ROM][KQB][ODIN] - broodROM RC5 -
Here the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396837
I've to said that this ROM is realy smooth and stable.I've tried the Rc4 but i don't like it but this new version is a AWESOME.
GOOD:
-Very beautiful ICS style theme.setting menu similar to 4.0 really.
Battery, phone singnal and wifi icons are turned in a light blue very cool.
ICS Call keyboard, add in the call log on the right of the contact a shortcut phone icon for a fast call but still there the slide to call or sms.Good idea
-Fast and clean usage.Skyhigh Kernel is alwasy good
-Ram usage perfect,80mb free-145 mb when freed
-- Extended Status Bar 13 Buttons
BAD:
Not so much things to say.
-Few Wifi lost signal
-Few lag on the screen unlock
-with Antutu benchmark the score is under 4000.I know it don't mean nothing int he usage of the rom but I like the high Scores ù
-NEWS: After instal the rom the usb wire,my computer don't open the phone like removable device and don't syncr with kies...this is soo bad
hi guys i've used nitrox 3.0 and cranium 7 & 8 but the best than i ever used is moonrom...no lag, no random reboot excellent battery life with OC/UV ... and i'll change it only when CM9 it's full working..
p.s. sorry for my orrible english (Davide - admin samsung galaxy s plus italia)

Review of Nitro Galaxy 5.0 Andromeda
Hi again this time i review the Italian ROM
The Rom is quite good, ics style and updated very frequently (it pass from 3.0 to 5.0 in 1 month, synonymous of a frequent developed and hard work)
in the rom it's installed android assistant (that i don't like) and have no archive only use ES GESTORE pre-installed.Also installed Equlizer and a real good music player.
Different battery icon so cool but no so much readable
I'd like to have the possibility to choose the locksreen style like pendolum rom
here the link of the rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1641450
4208 antutu 1804 clocked
Quiet good rom for the daily usage and i think it will be improved again soon,so keep work guys _--_HIGHLY RACOMENDED-__-
Remember to review, leave comment, say thanks to the developers and if like my reviews push thanks
Android forever
Well it's depend. If you need good batery management i can say that Gigabred+ is the best- about 2-3 days without any problem About permormance - I used Moonrom, and i can say, it's veeeery good
about ICS, i think AOKP Kang
Review of Nitro Galaxy 6.0 Andromeda
The new rom is very similar to the 5.0
Some changes but the team made a good job, improved the smoothes of the rom very fast and stable...Very very good
I don't like the gb telephone keyboard,i prefer the ics style
Also improved the battery drain
MIUI
I like MIUI very much because of its incredible design.
Battery life is ok and performance good too.
Be a reviewer
Be a reviewer too...if u whant feel free to made a new review of the roms..
We can just have good time and maybe help someone to choose the perfect rom
SO WRITE YOUR OPINION
Broodrom rc5! Splendid ics theme with high benchmark and he's still improving for the business version(still in beta). CM9 would also be good(alpha) but it still has some bugs so I would recommend Broodrom rc5.

Are you referring to broodrom rc5?
Advantages: high benchmark, zero lag on my phone, 13 status bar icons with ics theme, ics boot animation, 99% bug-less
Disadvantages: based on gingerbread(i prefer ics), screen on takes around 2 or 3 seconds(will be fixed on revision 2)
CM9
Advantages: ics rom, best rom overall(not for now), love the lockscreen compared to broodrom
Disadvantages: Camera still not working properly, FM radio can't work(doesn't matter at all for me) USB tethering can't work(main reason why I flash back to broodrom), a few bugs.

3500mAh Battery review
I bought a new Battery found on ebay .
3500mAh is twice the stock ampere battery.
First 2-3 full charge it have 2 days life, after it can stay 3 days with juice defender properly optimized.
Realy fantastic for my usage and i've pay only EUR 15,99 with a new satinated black cover
Here some photo of the battery drain....from the 20% i've dowloaded the game six gun and play for 10 minutes, otherways it can last more
if you want try it go on ebay and write : Samsung galaxy i9000 3500mha
I've the 9001 but the battery of course is the same
For me the best ROM is MIUI v.4 RC3 from Alex93917 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1729578)
Best battery life, graphics and performance.
If you would like more power, yoiu can also use Castagnat kernl 6.6... great!

Try biohazard v5...
Smooth, with AROMA...
Good battery life too...

I have used CM9 by invedor RC3 and that's really stable ROM, now I am using Ultragen3.1. This is based on CM9 by invedor and this one is also very stable, smooth and battery friendly. Additionally it has JB notification tray and SGS3 like UI.
best rom is cm9 yhat created with hands of ivendor

After all the stuff I tried I always came back to CM7. It's the most mature and most stable rom of anything that's here on XDA.
The New Experience has Lot of visual perks, nice UI , boost scripts, bravia, sound scripts and stuff, but I wanted a themable ROM, so I chose CM7.
I change the themes like every week or so.
If you want an AWESOME rom, go for New Experience, as it is based on CM7, while the Evilution is based on stock FW.
There is no best ROM. Try them for yourself and see which one is best for you. Thread closed.
Hi, I benchmarked two of my favorite ROMs today and I thought posting it and opening a benchmarking thread would be useful.
I tested with this format/methodology
ROM version
Kernel version + kernel stetting (default or tweaked parameters)
Linaro or not
AnTuTu Benchmark - excluded 3D + Battery life test /+Stability test
With apps / clean ROM (straight after flash)
2 min after boot
unplugged from powersource
No apps running in background according to "recent apps"
Brightness level ~18%
My list:
XenonHD + Matr1x 9.5 - Linaro according to forums (but not listed in feature list) - Includes all my apps (not clean)
General score: 13725
CPU 4101/3874
Ram 3334
SD card 150/180
Stability test: not yet
crDroid + Matr1x 9.5 - Linaro - Includes all my apps (not clean)
General score: 13922
CPU 4131/3974
Ram 3355
SD card 139/164
Stability test: not yet
My subjective summary: - Just tried a clea out-of-the-bxx- rom benchmarking; meh...seems like I'm getting inconsistent results.
crDroid feels more smooth but seems to have to a little less features (like lock-screen transparency and lacks certain animations (like status bar) - but it has for example lockscreen wallpaper which XenonHD lacks. XenonHD featuers small volume steps which is a huge feature crDroid is lacking and also features PA's PIE controls).
Overall two great ROMs out of which I'm using crDroid.
I'll add clean results later today.
Please post your results in the format above if you may :silly: thank you!
theres a good benchmarking thread going already, no need to start another. post there if you want to compare http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1967843&page=93

what do you think thats for, different roms and kernels. theres no need for two of the same threads.
As stated there is already a thread for this. No need for more then one thread with pointless scores.
Guys, Yesterday I updated mu MIUI from v5 to v6. The Antutu benchmark was around 32,000 with v5 and it has how jumper to around to 43,000 after the update to v6!
That is one massive improvement in the ROM kernel it seems.
What are you experiences?
my experience? MIUI v6 sucks. big time.
they wanted to make it simpler, in my opinion its way more complicated now.
they took away many features of v5
apps keep crashing, google stuff doesn't work at all.
camera app is useless.
and so on.
that the whole UI looks like IOS now doesn't help either. every time you pull up the toggles i nearly puked. - ok -than can be fixed down the road with a decent theme but right now there ain't any.
back to v5 and .22 - if you ask me, the performance gain is NOT worth all the hassle.

The huge difference comes from the fact that you used Antutu 4 final on Miui5 and Antutu 5 beta on Miui6. Try installing Antutu 4 on Miui 6 and then see what scores you get.

1. That's true
2+3. I don't have those problems, maybe you should try clean install. In fact, I don't get any force closes and Gapps works just like they did in v5

Also, we need to keep in mind that is a developer version. The stable version appears only in October.

sure, but i doubt the ipone look will go away...
this release is hardly fit for a daily driver, just too much not working or constricted - go look at all the bug reports etc.
as i am playing with it some more, even the MIUI5 is still full of bugs, some of them have been around for a long long time and i doubt they will ever be fixed.
Lets hope the kernel source is available soon, as promised, then AOSP / CM/ here i come.
Personally its not the iphone look that pisses me of the most. But the feature loss is absolutelly unexcusable. I feel like i have a crappier phone now somehow...
Go CM11
The RAM Optimization is helping the UI is future ready for Android L hence ditching the menu button to recent with was irritating.
The Battery is still not optimized and I really want the Auto-Brightness like the CM11.
The iOS look is good using most of the 1080p resolution they have done a good job.
I now have 1GB of free RAM now but I never got any problem with RAM even if it was at 400MB free or 200MB.
My hopes for future updates are:
1.Auto-Brightness like CM11
2.Less resource usage more leading to more Free RAM.
3.Power Saver Mode and Battery Optimization.
4.English Themes,Mi Store,Games,etc
5.And something unexpected
Overall Happy with MIUI v6 than MIUI v5

Dude, you have the new Antutu app, i'm on miui 23(stable international version) V5 and score 44000.It's not related with the version of miui, In fact V6 is not as stable and functional as v5.
To my AnTuTu not have reliability scores vary in each update.
Important to see the fluidity and functionality of the phone, not your score in an application.
A greeting.
I think the benchmark scores dont really matter as much as the user experience. The benchmark scores might be lower but i'm getting a bit more lag around the interface, maybe the new apps just arent optimised yet. What do you guys think? Plus I dont think the Mi3 has any problems with gaming performance so any improvement wouldnt be very noticeable

MIUI V6 looks more heavier skinned compared to the V5. Not really surprised if perfomance turned into a crawl. Im getting the MI3 and won't update it to the V6 version. Its still new. Maybe give some time and the bugs shld be gone
Via the Internet
Been using v6 for quire some time now. IT does has some limitations like some less options in the notification pane and some awkward menu options, ok a ****ty camera app, but still it is preety smooth. ITs a beta version and new developments will keep coming as the devs keep on progressing... The interface is smooth just like v5 but if you want to keep progressing then u got to start using it as it will be the standard later on.
I personally like the MIUI 6 look...It has the polished look of iOS with the functionality of Android...
Admitted a lotta features are still missing, but I am assuming they will be added in final builds...(if they are not, then yeah, dual boot AOSP ROMs for me too...)
And when you got 32000ish scores in Antutu, did you have Performance mode ON?
I'm glad that I'm not alone (hugs) . This V6 is a flat fiasco, a dull imitation of the f..g Iphone

Well thats true seem ppl finding the os an ios replica are correct as the main stuff we are actually looking for is the ram and battery optimisation.
Moreover it seems to be screwed up with the new ui hope they come up with something solid till the official
I reverted back to 4.8.22 I've got a lot of problems on v6 dont like the camera, browser, battery life it messed up my root access, messed up also my touch screen, I've got ghost touches everywhere.
My personal opinion is that i m in love with the ui performance and what not.
Its buttery smooth, no lag, and it feels pretty awesome to use such a beautiful UI.
Ya but its true the camera app is a bit f***ed up but nevermind its just a beta one. Its going to get updated in a much better way so keep updating.
