In normal case it shud not be happen after factory reset.
But if Phone locked with remote control / any antitheft application installed in secure way this cud be happen.
I dont feel comfortable to advise further before legitimation of Owner.

[Q] Requesting to Confirm Password after Factory Reset

I did a Factory Reset twice when my Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 asked me to Confirm Password which is strange to me. I never created a password with it before. Please help.
Do you have CWM installed? Then you can do the factory reset from there and I'm pretty sure it won't ask you for a password.
If you bought the phone, ask for help to Samsung.

The password that I had to put in was my lock screen's password. Try creating a lock screen password and using that for the password for factory reset.
In normal case it shud not be happen after factory reset.
But if Phone locked with remote control / any antitheft application installed in secure way this cud be happen.

Please help . Am rather clueless when it comes to tec things . Put a password on my camera ... And forgot it , anyone able to explain to a dummy how I go about unlocking my camera ? Thank you
Need to reflash with Odin

Or if you have the google accout set will ask you the password of google account in the end. If not before reflash you can try a factory reset from the boot menu (power+shutter+zoom in).

[Q] Forgot my pin.

I forgot my phone pin .My phone is rooted and I want to hard reset my phone to get access. Can anyone help? OR Do I have to visit a care center. Is there a problem to flash or hard reset a rooted phone. Please help
Do you have a custom recovery? if so then this might help : " http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2225695 "
My friend followed the above method but he had a Samsung and he forgot his pattern.I'm pretty sure that it might work for you too as well.Still not too sure though.I'll appreciate it if someone could confirm this.
Do this at your own risk.
Also, I don't think you need to consider service centers.
Good luck.

If you have a custom recovery you can flash my script http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43500062
However it might not work

If you forgot your pin used on lockscreen then you can also reset your password by signing in using the id used in PlayStore.(If you have signed in).
You can get that option near Emergency Calls after you enter wrong password more than 5-6 times.

N6 factory reset protection password

Hi guys, i got a Nexus 6, bought to a friend, but i did a factory reset and now is asking me for the last account used in the device, i ask to my friend and dont know (the phone its a gift from his father). Android 5.1 and there is no way to know wich account were used in the device.
Please someone can help, the bootloader is locked, cant unlock because "android debbuging" is off. Can i flash a special stock images or something?? or what can i do to pass this vrification?
thanks.
@fernando2610
You have to enter the username and password for the last person who used the device. There is no way around this. If you can't get that information, then this device is useless.
If bootloader is locked you're Sol!

As @cam30era said, there is no way around this security feature. Without the password from the previous user, the device is useless. Sorry.

No offense to you but let's hope not. It is a theft deterrent
have him ask his father. his father would know his own username and password. if his farher doesnt know, then id say that there's something fishy going on with that phone..
Thanks again. I ll ask his father, maybe he can talk with Google to solve this.

I still don't see the problem. On every PC ' father ' can login to his google account. And when he has forgotten his password there is a password recovery protocol.

If the phone belonged to the father, there is no problem
Has he changed his password lately? I think you have to wait awhile correct me if I'm.wrong
if he resets his password for you because he doesnt know it you will have to wait 72 hours i believe before you can even log into that phone.

I understood from the OP that the father didn't even remember his password. So he won't be able to reset it. Catch 22.

Even if you have it unlocked, encrypted device wont let you log in. Its better than iCloud ^^
Guys ,
Do i have to be encrypted to enable this security ? i just decrypted my Nexus 6. The phones feels kinda snappy after turning of encryption

Not sure on that. Though if you have an unlocked bootloader, the device protection is useless anyway as you can just flash it back to stock and if you're rooted / modified, locking the bootloader is quite a dangerous thing to do (if you get in a bootloop and cannot get into custom recovery, with a locked bootloader, you're screwed).

nah im good homie, imma let that phone be a paperweight
there is only 2 options u have now:
1.flash stock firmware with Odin .
2. even if after flashing it asks for email and stuffs...visit Samsung customer service and state ur issues.
one of my old friend solve that issue u mentioned using option 2 cause he was too noob to flash stock os.
