Help - No 4g After Easy Battery Saver - LG Revolution

I made the mistake of installing the "Easy Battery Saver" app on my LG Revolution with Gingervolt 1.3. Then my phone wouldn't connect to anything sometimes and rebooting would cause a lot of force closes, so I removed it.
Now I get no 4G whatsoever and occasional Wifi disconnections. Anyone have any ideas what I can do to fix this?
Thanks.

Not sure why it did that but I would try just wiping and reflashing.

I was afraid of that. Is booting into recovery and choosing wipe data/factory reset ok?

Guess that will teach me to back my stuff up...
Wipe Data/Factory Reset got the 4G back. Now I need to set up my accounts/apps again...

That's the only safe way to wipe data.

Did the same thing today and found this solution. I know its too late for you but maybe it can save the next person a reflash.

I saw that thread and downloaded that app, but I didn't really see anything in the apns which said"4G" so I wasn't really comfortable with it. The wipe/reset ended up not being so bad... It helped me get rid of some of the crap I never used anyway..

I just had to do the exact same thing a few days ago.(wipe and reflash gv 1.3) that app sucks, stay away from easy battery saver!

Try to completely empty the battery by rebooting after your phone shuts down because of low battery. Keep rebooting it after it shuts down again till it doesn't want to boot anymore. Till the battery is completely empty.
Then Charge it again and leave it on the charger for more then 20 hours.
Don't know if it's gonna work but give it a try
EDIT: Q? are you using a custom ROM ??
Ok I'll give it a try, thank you. I have this problem since i flashed a modaco firmware and wiped my battery cache via cwm. Anyone else having those issues?

I reverted back to stock on my O2X and I can get 48 hours out of the battery. I had the same issue as you and reverting back to stock seemed to cure it too.
Just an FYI I thought I'd share.

Sorry, should have given more detail. That 48 hours is with general browsing and social networking with a fair bit of video recording and camera use. No 3G though. All data was over WiFi.
Certainly not just stand-by though.

No full power use of the processor i understand
i thought i had the problem too with the MDC fear 5.3 but it just jumped from 98% to 100 after 10 minutes so its probably a mistake which solved itselve if you charge it long enough.

Didn't work for me, i did it exactly this way, charged it for about 10 hours, booted in recovery, wiped the battery stats and it stills shows 97% when i boot it. However, it's not a disastrous failure, i can live with it and hopefully it gets fixed sometime.
Finally, i found the solution for me. After i reflashed the stock rom, where this problem doesn't occur, i flashed a modaco rom again WITHOUT WIPING THE BATTERY STATS. Now it's all working fine, i charged my phone to 100% a few minutes ago. Hope it will help some of the people, who are still having problems.
Does kernel version has anything to do with this issue?
Don't think so, i tried the stock, Paul's kernel from FR12 and the EternityProject Kernels 1.3 and 1.4, it was all the same until i tried reflashing without wiping battery stats. For the record, i flashed the new TK-Rom V 0.6 with the EternityProject Kernel 1.4.

[Q] touchscreen stops responding

I flashed Gingervolt 1.2 and every now and then the touchscreen and buttons stop responding. I send it to standby and bring it out and everything works again. Any ideas?
Several people have reported this, starting with the first Gingerbread ROM on the Revo. It happens to me about twice per week.
Happened in froyo too. Normal round these parts.

Same here on stock Gingerbread. I recall it happening on Froyo too.
Sent from my VS910 4G using Tapatalk
Happens to me about twice a day. Gingervolt 1.2, but it never happened to me while on Froyo.
It didn't happen to me when I was on v4 revolt 1.3-1.5 and v7 gingervolt 1.0-1.2
After I flashed GV 1.3 and used it for a day it started to screen freeze in random occasions, on home screen, texting with textfree, surfing with boat and dolphin hd browser, xda app
Are there's a fix besides doing lock-unlock screen?
I notice it occur more often when I'm surfing w either boat or dolphin hd around 2-3 times an hr
It get annoying
I also tried wiped data/cache/dalvik didn't solve the issue
I'll try wipe data/cache/dalvik then reflash GV 1.3
Hope that'll fix it
SuperCharged GingerVolt B-) R U?
I think it happens more often when frequently touching the screen (like when using a browser... Lots of scrolling and what not).
I'm never comfortable saying never (teehee), but I don't recall a single time this happened before I flashed GV. Only used stock GB long enough to root it and install CWR so I can't speak to that.
Mt, would a log kitty potentially be helpful here? I might as well give you a whole litter (gotta keep this pun going ).
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
I could believe it was from touching the screen a lot. It happens to me playing some games as well.
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
That's what I've felt was the cause, touch overload of sorts. I remember it happening when I tried to wipe clean the screen while it was active. That made it non-responsive.
Sent from my VS910 4G using Tapatalk
I wipe data/cache/dalvik then flash my 1st rooted V7 GB cwm recovery then GV 1.3
After testing last night the screen freeze seems to be fixed for now
I tried overload the touch screen on texting/browsing/games to see if it would freeze and it didn't
Glad I made that 1st recovery

[Q] AOIP and data

Hey guys. I'm a total noob so sorry if this has been mentioned before!
Just installed AOIP and i'm loving how quick everything responds. But I am seeing some weird things with data. I seem to be switching between 3G and H (4G ?) constantly. And when its not switching back and fourth, I'm on 3G. I've never used 3G (only 4G) when on stock ROM. Not understanding why I'm always on 3G now?? any setting that I should change? I'm not using any themes. Its not a huge deal but I would have to assume this dance between 3G and 4G would contribute to battery loss.

boo! that sucks. but that might explain why I don't ever remember seeing 3G but I have seen 2G. Does this happen with all other ROMs? I've only tried this one.

This is because custom ROMs do not support 4g icons, I have a zip in the q&a section that fixes this.
Note: if you are using a theme after flashing the zip the icon will go back to 3g/h unless you are using the stock system them. I will post a link to the zip

Sorry, my noob-ness is showing. I thought that fix was just to show the 4G icon instead of the H. Or am I missing something? The H doesn't really bother me, its constant switching between 3G and H. I *thought* I had good 4G coverage.

It switches from 3g to H(or H+) when it is downloading. Reverts to 3g when it doesn't need the higher speed. This is good for you as it saves battery. Hopefully that answers your question.
You could download speedtest.net app and test your speeds on both Roms and see if there is any difference. If not, no need to worry about it.
Also I think the switching speeds to save battery answer ^^^ makes sense

Thanks everyone!! I installed the 4G icon fix and it seems to be steady on 4G now. I'm not sure what to think about that. I'm standing in the same spot I was when it kept switching every few seconds before the fix. Oh well.
The icon fix just replaces the 3G and H icon. But you will still get 3G and 2g icons when in areas with that low service

Are you rooted? If so you could download an app Like android tweaker 2 that will let you clear the cache and dalvic cache on your device which are probably causing the lag from just normal buildup. Or there's a very sweet app in this thread (g flex cache wiper) which JUST clears the caches for you and then reboots the phone. That's what I've been using. If that fails you could and may need to factory reset.

I believe it was DFuse that created an app called Flex cache wiper that does it very simply and fast. Its in the apps and themes section. Works great. Even has a reboot button
