Its been a long time now since I've seen any thing on here about well.... anything. I'm willing to give up my phone as a guinea pig to anyone who wants to experiment.

Seems that way. I think cricket had alot to do with it,and the limitations the zio has! But I hope not!

i would be happy to have an extra zio to play with I've been toying aroud with OpenZio a lot recently I'm just too much of a coward to try it on my own phone and nobody wants to let me use their phone in an experiment

I for one am enjoying the Zio It actually feels like a solid device ( Using 2.2 and OpenZio ) compared to my HTC Raphael. Decent specs, just needs a streamlined ROM. Patience is a virtue Besides, Cricket here in Baltimore is AWS so it looks like the device lineup is limited anyway...... you might want to check up on the type of service you are using in your area too Not ANY WCDMA cell will work.....but maybe I should have let you buy it and waste money / time trying to flash it to cricket
Happily enjoying my 50 / Month all everything plan..... much cheaper than the 140 I was paying ATT using my Rhodium. I get the same if not better speeds with MUCH lower latencies!!!!
We've got a pretty decent rom being put together. It's alot of trial and error. We need more help to get to a beta release.
We have many that want custom roms, but how many are willing to contribute?
Sent from my Zio using XDA Premium App
Ill hop in IRC when I get the chance after I'm done with portal 2. Should be able to flash and test if my off time coincides with when you guys are working on it.

I'm down for being a beta tester. Any chance there'll be an overclockable kernel?
I thought someone was working on an oc but I haven't heard anything recently. I think I'm gonna have to learn to do it. I honestly have no experience overclocking kernels. But if anyone with experience could help it would be much appreciated.

OP updated
Do something with the crazy unresponsive screen! Or lets just skip all that and run gingerbread
The screen is a hardware issue.
Sent from my Droid using XDA Premium App
Are you talking about when the screen freezes up and slows down alot?
I'm thinking that is a kernel issue, it didn't seem to happen before we overclocked.
Sent from my Kyocera Zio M6000 using XDA Premium App
Yes when it freezes and takes 3 seconds to turn on from standby. I turned app drawer animation and all other animations off so that helped the general screen problems.

Hey if you need help with the testing of the ROM I will. I have no problem loading betas. I enjoy giving my phone and time up all in the name of improvement.
Wanna test my beta for my performance tweaks?

Sent from an epic phone called Zio.
I had real life issues to deal with but im working on it again. Give me time. Patience is the key to every rewards door.
Edit: update...I'm working on theme and speed are my main focus.for the rom. Not implementing new features until I know the themed and fast rom.is stable. Also I stopped working with android.a long time ago so I'm re learning but quickly at that.
Woot!! Update from OP for the win!

I have no use for my incredible and figured someone on here could benefit from it. If you're a dev and would like it, send me a pm and ill pay for shipping.
There is a catch tho ;-)
Im pretty sure the battery is toast so you will need a battery. Im not sure if there is anything else wrong becauae it wont boot but that's why your the dev and im the noob lol.
Just seeing if anyone is interested.

Just got the LG Thrill but forums seem dead, and not a lot being developed for this phone should I go ahead and return it and get something else?
Feedback would be greatly appreciated..

Sent from my LG-P925 using xda premium
Do you like the phone? That should answer your question on whether to return it or not.
First off, this question should be in the general section as there is no "Development" going on in it.
Second, Overall, the Thrill is a great phone with Amazing potential when Gingerbread is finally released. When ICS is released, even better. I still feel that when Gingerbread hits, there will be a lot more development going on as no one wants to develop for Eclair since it will be updated in less than a month (hopefully).
With the tri-dual technology, this thing could demolish the SGS2 if given the correct software.
Yes, more development is going on over in the SGS2 forums, so you have a tough decision to make my friend.
Ya I'm a flashaholic, so seeing this forum without very much development on roms is the only thing making me second guess my purchase, the phone itself on the other hand is a very nice piece of machinery...i mean i love the phone even in its stock form...but like i said im a flashaholic and love just tinkering with my phone...not a developer at all : / though I wish i were. I'm coming from a Mytouch 4G which I had sense 3.5 Android 2.3.5...so its just a whole new world to me I guess..

not being a smarta**. you will probably find more info googling this one cause it will pull up links from other forums, i havent seen anything on it in the dev forums. i did a quick search for you to see if i could provide a real answer in the very least. The closest i got was this which doesnt seem to be official MIuI if i read it right. but hope it helps
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1237197
Yeah...ik about that. Just asking if anyone is willing to provide an unofficial port. Probably not though....ics is all the rage. I wish I could do it...but I don't have the capabilities money and computing wise. Or experience because I never have had the ability and probably never will.

people seem to like the petition things in xda aha. MIuI would be a petition worth making so if you really want it make it. they are developers and the doird3 is a popular phoen so im sure they will listen
Cool ill go ahead and do that when I get the chance
Sent from my ADR6300 using xda premium
I too am still waiting for miui. Last I saw in one of the forums was Hashcode saying he might try to port it after he got cm stable.
Only time will tell.
