Anyone else experiencing this? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just got my note today and have noticed one thing.
When press the power button or home button to wake the phone it takes 3 seconds for the screen to display the lock screen.
Even when want to turn off the display it takes about 2 or 3 seconds.
Anyone know a solution???

Problem waking from notification

guys i have been owning note since past 45 days
and suddenly i faced the same problem today
when phone is in sleep and i receive a notification and press the home button
to wake the phone
i see only a black screen with a minute pink dot at top right
and the phone wont respond
however pressing the power button it brings the menu to switch and etc
so i can select power off and then again switch on the phone
guys this is frustrating
please help
It sounds like you have the Noled app installed. The little red dot is a noled notification, you have to press the back button whenever you see that dot...which will take you to the unlock screen. This is how it is with my Note with noled installed anyway.

Screen timeout keeps resetting?

Is anyone else experiencing this? I read quite a bit on my phone and usually keep it set at 1-2 mins but it always resets back to 15 seconds ;s

The postman delivered this house brick from Korea this morning. My daughter bless her little cotton socks has bought me this Note to replace my HTC(theres nothing wrong with my HTC). I have tried since 10am this morning to adjust the screen time and as with you it just will not have it, my HTC and my laptop are set up so that when plugged into the mains they stay on but this big bugger won't and an additional problem is that even though it is charging the battery is falling like beer down a miners throat.

Okay so I came across this issue today and I've figured out how to solve this. You must have enabled power saving mode at certain %. If you did go to custom power saving settings ---> screen timeout and change it to how long you want it on. You must also change the same time under display ----> screen timeout to what ever you chose under power saving mode. To test it restart the phone and go back under display and should see your last picked timeout minutes. :good:

You are lucky! My Galaxy S4 keeps resetting to 2 seconds! That doesn't even give you time to keep going to settings and changing it to 30 seconds or minute... Any fix for this annoying problem?
I noticed this was happening even with my power saving turned off. As deziking had posted, for me the fix seemed to be changing the settings in the "Power Saving" menu options. Mine was set to "immediately". Changing my Power Saving to kick in at 5% battery power seems to have remedied the problem.
Hope this helps.
Go to settings, device care, press the 3 circles at top right of screen, tap auto device optimisation and turn it off.

Touchscreen issues.

Hello my Droid 4 has problems with the touchscreen but it only happens when I touch the screen for a while. 10~15 minutes sometimes it happens earlier or sometimes i don't even get the problem at all.
Example: I'm playing minecraft and i hold the foward button for some time then the phone thinks I am not pressing the screen while I am actually pressing the screen.
It's very anoying if anyone has or had this problem please help me in any way you can.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Home Button

Wondering if anyone else is having this problem, when I click on the home button to wake the phone it takes 4-6 seconds before it takes me to the lock screen. Any thing I can do to fix this?
Thanks

Just a thought, you might want to check apps like my magazine and S voice settings. They both have options to open via double pressing the home button. If these are enabled the home button may delay to see if a second press is coming. (Although 4-6 seconds seems excessive) I disabled that option in those app settings and have no delay when waking using the home button.

What if the s voice settings weren't the problem with home botton before the KitKat update ?

Removed your sdcard and test, if you dont have one nevermind
Does this always take a long time? As in if you have device on and press power button to turn off. Then immediately press the home button. Does it take a long time?
Maybe your device is in a really deep sleep and it needs to wake up. If it is in a deep sleep, that's a good thing. If we had a better kernel we could control the situation better. Unfortunately we can't get one at the moment.

Home button and power button both became unresponsive

For the second time in a few months, my home button and power button both became unresponsive. This happened previously for about 2 days and put of no where both starting working as normal. Has anyone else ever experienced this and no a solution to the problem? It seems to be a software problem, and this always seems to occur following an OTA update, which AT&T pushed one the other day.

I also find that these buttons occasionally work again, but only for a few minutes then they go back to having no response. Also sometimes when I hit the home button Google app pops up, even tho I have Google Now on Tap disabled.
