FroyoPro 2.3 Problem - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I flashed Alfs v06 kernel and i was looking forward to flashing FroyoPro rom because i heard its great for games. So i flashed alfs kernel and then the rom and instaled the alfs add-on and froyo fix for alfs kernel, but when I restarted it,it got stuck on FXP logo, so i did it again but now i wiped everything and it booted up but realy slowly it took about 4-5 min. to get to the "touch the android to start" part. And it was lagy all the way throuh settup. Then I flashed Ati froyo and it worked great, but i wanted the FroyoPro so i tried to flash it again and it got stuck again.
Can somebody help me....What to do?

Well setup is always laggy i would says on all roms...you need to reboot your phone after you install new rom so it can settle on your phone.....Try to go recovery and do full wipe, reboot your phone or reinstall rom again...Also it may be caused by version of CWM, maybe first you installed FP you have differnet version and second after you install atifroyo it change cwm on his version.....maybe...the same thing happend to me too...so iv just reinstalled cwm via x8toolbox

Abyss 3 and force launcher into memory bootloops

Cant post yet in the Dev section, so this will have to do.
It seems there is still an issue with Abyss 3 and forcing launcher into memory.
Changelog of Abyss 3 says its OK, however, same as previous. First reboot OK, subsequent reboot and all you get is bootloops
Seems there is still an issue? Can someone post in the dev section of Abyss and Checkrom so people avoid until resolved....
Unless someone else has a different experience...
I have no problem with this kernel... no boot loops....
Have you tried to clear the cache and dalvik ?
@aatjitra
Are you running Checkrom? and tried the force launcher into memory Mod.
No problem with the kernel per se, only with the mod and the kernel together.
as above, changelog on the Kernel for V3 says its compatible with force launcher into memory, but it results in a bootloop when applied.
Same for me here. Was in pre 3.0 Abyss, turned on checkrom force launcher ok. But when i flash final 3.0 Abyss, goes into boot loop. How can I undo force launcher now?
---------- Post added at 05:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:09 PM ----------
Ok, for those who turned on force launcher and boot loops after flashing with Abyss, i found a solution. Go into recovery and flash the forcelauncher.zip which should have been downloaded earlier. It should be in internal sd\download\checkrom_revo. Whew, thought i had to reflash checkrom 3 wipe!

[Q] Problem flashing Onecosmics's ICS RC3.1

hi!
i have a problem flashing this RC3.1 release.
coming from darky 10.4.2 i boot in recovery -> wipe cache -> wipe dalvik -> factory reset.
then flashing RC3.1 -> phone gets bootloop -> boot recovery -> wipe cache -> factory reset -> flash again.
this helps me out on prior versions of ICS like RC2.11 and RC3.0
now, phone boots and after kernel-logo i get a black screen. no boot animation. was waiting 5minutes. then i boot in download and flashed back to darky, because i need my phone for work.
was really happy with RC3.0, so i would like to try 3.1
whats the problem?
what did i wrong?
someone have a solution for this?
i read in the development section, but can't find help. maybe i've missed the right post.
i have a GT-I9000 and flashed the file IICS_4.0.3.0(RC3.1)_GalaxyS_Full.zip from this page: http://code.google.com/p/ice-cream-sandwich-sgs/downloads/list
I have exactly the same problem, also the same issue with teamhacksung build 11,12,13 and 14. no one seems to have the answer, and most people dont seem to have the problem. hopefully someone can help us out dude.

if you are able to flash RC3.0, try flashing it and then flashing RC3.1 (from your post it looks like you didn't try that.. )
Also you waited 5 min .. I know its a long time for boot animation to come but maybe the new version requires more time.. would suggest waiting atleast 15 min before giving up.. (I know its a hell lot of a time but doesn't hurt waiting)

I read your problem man and frankly speaking I am stumped.. no idea what can help you.. maybe getting on irc on teamhacksung's ICS channel may help.. they are the mastermind's behind everything so they may be able to figure out the problem..
Just flash from a clean gingerbread rom...
I don't think you'll get an error then.
Couple of days ago i flashed RC3.0 without any problems. since i get this "black screen" on RC3.1 i tried to flash RC3.0 again and i have the same behavior as on RC3.1.
last time i flashed RC3.0 i also flashed it from darkyrom. on reboot i get the bootanimation immediately.
so, whats to do?
i have just read there is a know issue with flashing from darkcore.
will flash another kernel today and try it again.
I had the exact same issue when I was flashing from darky's to Onecosmics RC 2.0. Just flash any Samsung gingerbread ROM with kernel and afterwards the upgrade to ICS will work.
yup, works!
flashed 3-file stock JVU via odin, after that i had no problem flashing ICS
Try COMPLETELY wiping your phone. data/cache/dalvik PLUS system/cache/data in mounts. Pretty sure that's how I did it.
Try wiping in the following order...
1.Data Reset
2.Kernel Script Cleaner
3.Data Reset
4.Clear Cache
5.Dalvik Cache
TRY NOT TO clean any after flash...!
Never had a bootloop with the above technique...!
hey guys, problem solved!!
i flashed stock gingerbread 3-file before flashing RC3
i flashed I9000_STOCKPLUS_ICS_RC3-PLUS. or should i flash ICS_4.0.3.0(RC3.1)_GalaxyS_Full ?
what do you prefer? what ist better?

[Q] Unable to flash GingerDx V023

I previously had GingerDx V022 and it was working perfect.
Today I tried to Flash GingerDx V023 Using Xrecovery V0.1
I even initiated a full wipe and also wiped dalvik cache etc etc
But every time I flash , I get stuck at the SE Logo , unable to go back to xrecovery. Then I have to use PCC And re-root all over again.
I tried to find CWM V014 , although Xrecovery always worked for GingerDx (all previous versions)
But couldn't find it.
I havent even customized GingerDx V023. Just tried to directly flash it after downloading.
Doesnt work
What is going wrong ?
Help Please I really want to upgrade to this ROM
Xperia X8 E15i
GingerDx V022
Stock Kernel
it's same problems with me. Just waiting for helping by another peoples
Use ClockworkMod - it's absolutely necessary. You could use toolbox http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117100 to obtain double recovery. Then just tap the screen (dual recovery) or buck button to access CWM.

Bootloop going from 2.3.6 to 4

Galaxy S i9000. Was using Android 2.3.6 Darky's Rom v. 9.5 Extreme Edition.
Downloaded ics_4.0.3_mr1_rc4.2_i9000.zip and went directly into Recovery mode and chose the install from zip option. Then, color changed to blue, and I cleared cache and did factory reset.
Now in boot loop, phone keeps going to recovery whenever I reboot..its currently CVM v. 5.5.0.4 with light blue text.
Pls help
Reinstall zip its because ICS changes the partitions and reboots half way through

Also I reccomend going to tiramislim or another 4.0.4 ROM as they are more stable and don't suffer the android battery bug

Did u checked following link?:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1365277
Had the same problem with my i9001 when i went to ICS, solved the problem with the guide in the wiki article.
Latrop, I tried re-installing again and again, didnt work.
Kuliano, surely there must be a simpler solution?
Can I know what's actually causing the bootloop?
Thanks
I had only to reflash the bootloader with odin. Perhaps there is a similar solution for the i9000. I will look for it when im bavk from work..

In my country ,we will upgrate to ics via cm7.
it's mean
1.you must flash cm7 first , if worked and into desktop(you should wait 3min untill OS worked finished).
2.reboot to recovery
3. 3wipe
4. install ics zip
I think it will solve your problem.
try it, I am done today..
