HD7 reset not working

Here's the problem with my HTC HD7, I have used it for sometime and today I did a reset going to settings->about->reset. The phone came back straight to the home(tiles) screen without starting through the Windows setup screens. It then restarted by itself and after that it is pulling back all of my old contacts, old messages & mails. I also did a factory reset using the Volume Up/down & power buttons but the same story.
Anyone think of what's going on? do you think the internal memory corruption or something?
thanks in advance,
TZ
could try this......
Resetting using the hardware buttons
You can also use the buttons to perform a hard reset. This comes in handy if the screen is frozen and you can’t access the phone.
1. Turn the phone off. If it’s frozen or unresponsive, pull then replace the battery.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons and power the phone back on.
3. Continue to hold Volume Up and Volume Down until a factory reset screen appears.

HELP, My phone refuses to boot up.

It started as soon as I received a phone call from my brother and we were in the middle of a conversation when the phone suddenly goes off. I tried to restart it, I even removed the battery and replaced it but when I press the power button I get the initial boot sequence showing the htc logo and then the phone would just go of. I thought that maybe the battery is low but when I plug it to a power outlet it keeps trying to boot but keeps switching off and it just does this over and over.
Please I don't know if anyone has encountered this problem before, I really don't know what to do.

2. Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons and power the phone back on.
3. Continue to hold Volume Up and Volume Down until a factory reset screen appears.
Hope this helps!

Well I just did that but the problem persist. I should note that occasionally it does complete its boot up and I can use the phone but it can go off at any time and once it does this, i cannot get it to completely boot up. Once it attempts a boot up and goes off I cannot even restart it by pressing the power button until I replace the battery or plug it into a power socket or the computer at which point it will just keep booting up and shutting down.
Something far wrong there. Get a replacement device.

Hi, I have got the same problem on my HD7 and I am completely noob to many new words Goldcard, jailbroken, etc. Would you please advise me exactly what you did (i mean flahing procedure) and really appriciate any help.
Well if you have got an O2 HD7, then I would advise you to get one of the O2 ROMS from ansar, download it then press and hold the volume down button when booting up your device, connect the phone to your pc and start the app. More instructions in the HD7 development thread.
There's nothing wrong the phone. Don't hard reset or flash it. It happens from time to time, just give it some time and eventually you will see a battery icon appear. Then after awhile it will boot up.
Again, do not flash or hard reset just be patient. I believe it just needs to drain all the way down as it doesn't have enough power to fully boot.
Not booting up

[Q] No Hard Reset

My HD7 is stuck on the start-up HTC screen. If left for a few mins. it goes to the screen showing Phone- USB cable -PC and thats it.
I tried hard reset: volume up/down held down + power on/off. No matter how long I hold these buttons down it does not go to the boot loader screen, infact it goes to the same screen as mentioned Phone-USB-PC.
When I hold down volume button + camera +power on/off the tri-colour screen appears for a few seconds but then does to the white screen saying "Enter USB Host Mode"
Zune comes up with error C101002E and trying to flash it with O2 rom the error 260, no comms
Can I do anything to restore this?
I've just found out it has no memory card! Would this stop it from booting past the start-up screen?
Yes I bought it as faulty, so I thought a reset would do it. Its not dead, far from it but I just need pointing in the right direction
Hold volume up + down at the same time and click power once while continuing to hold BOTH volume buttons...
If that doesn't work and u haven't hacked ur fone ibwould call for a replacement .... I'm sending mine back cuz mine is constantly freezing and rebooting by itself

[Q] HELP: My Atrix HD will not stop rebooting

I don't know what happened, but my phone won't stop rebooting! It does not give me enough time to process a factory data. I've tried to power it down and press volume up while pressing the power button, but it doesn't take me to the standard bootloader screen, just a dead looking android guy with a red triangle with an exclamation point in it. I have it off now because I don't know what else to do. The last thing I did before this happened was listen to a playlist on Spotify, nothing out of the usual. Any help would be appreciated.

That's the screen you get before getting to recovery. Can't remember what you push from there but its probably power or a combination with a volume key.
Sent from my phone.
Mine did that the second after installing the update. I woke up to it in a boot loop. Went to best buy and the geek squad didn't know what to do and had no white ones in stock. I went home Started it in safe mode and did a factory reset. Now it's good as now.

It seems to be a weird combination of lock plus volume up then down, but it finally worked!!! I feel like I've reset this phone a dozen times since I got it

[Q] Bricked an S-OFF HTC One

Hey,
I bought an HTC ONE M-7 from a user who was running it on a custom Rom and had it S-OFF.
While trying to put stock Rom on the phone via the pc, the pc crashed in the middle of the process and the mobile stopped responding. The phone stayed in this condition until the battery ran dry. Since that moment, the phone doesn't turn on by any combination of hardware buttons as mentioned on different forums. While plugged in to a power source the screen just blinks on and off.
I would be highly obliged if anyone can help me out of this situation.
