[Q] Does Encryption Work on CM9? - TouchPad Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does ICS's built-in Encryption work on CM9 for HP Touchpad? If not, is it a feature that will eventually be supported for the Touchpad? I'm curious if it is even feasible with a dual-boot device. I'm traveling to Europe soon and would like to protect all my data if lost or stolen.
Does encryption work on any unofficial ICS builds for any device? I tried enabling encryption on Deck's ICS 4.0.3 build for the HTC Evo 4G but that wouldn't work.

[Q] Does camera work on CM9?

Hi the information is a bit outdated, wondering if since official release nightly the camera works? Thanks
I DONT have the device yet hence why im asking
No it doesn't. The ICS ROMs still don't officially support a camera yet. It is a driver issue. ICS is a completely new architecture and the old drivers won't work. Since drivers are proprietary we have to wait on an Official Samsung ROM. No developer for the 8.9 has really made much headway or even tried to hard recently to get a working camera.

[Q] Dual-Boot in LG P970?

Is there any way to select between two or more ROMS after turning on the device?
I have tried Boot Manager apk, but it seems to be unsupported...
That feature is implemented from Android 4.0 /ICS kernel onwards. You'll have to wait for two good ICS ROMs, since only two ICS ROMS can be dual booted, because both work on the same kernel.

[Q] Question: 4.3 - based CM?

Hey guys, i am curious if cyanogen is going to support our O2X for next big update to 4.3 JB. I don't think they will support 5.0, but at least this can be somehow useful and I am worried that all developers will jump to another devices and we will get stuck at nightlies. What do you think?
you can't predict it yet. I'm trusting in our developers though, nothing is impossible.

Is cm even going to release a stable cm 10.1, or will we remain nightlies only? I have turned to devs instead of the regular cm rom anyway, cm isn't that stable on the p990.

Many of us abandoned official CM for the releases by pengus77 and tonyp on the new bootloader. RC seems adamant on supporting the old bootloader despite its problems, as he feels a lot of users aren't knowledgeable enough to NVFlash their phones and doesn't want an influx of support questions. And he and official CM don't seem to be paying any attention to the fixes made by pengus which make some functions actually work (i.e. wifi hotspot) and improve stability a lot.

[Q] Suggestions for a Paranoid Android Rom that Supports USB-OTG?

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a Paranoid Android/AOKP/CM Rom that supports USB-OTG?
I need to the USB-OTG support in order to connect my arduino to my phone for school and I in general just want a more customizable rom. Yesterday I probably flashed at least 5 to 6 roms (I believe I tried PACMAN, AOSPA, Slimbean, Vanilla Rootbox, and Dirty Unicorns; maybe one more), but all attempts failed. I also tried flashing Thoravukk's kernel alongside the ROMs since it states " // • full otg support •" but I could not get a single one of those ROMs to work with either my USB drive or my arduino.
For the time being I'm on Nocturnal's Google Edition 4.2.2 and everything works fine there... just hoping I could get something better.

[Q] Can the 4.2.2 Legacy rom be ported to Data - Media build

Can someone port the Android 4.2.2 legacy rom to the new data-Media build layout? Unfortunately I am an unlucky TouchPad owner that NetFlix refuses to work properly on 4.4.x builds, I know for a fact that 4.2.2 worked perfectly, however I cannot go back to 4.2.2 without major pains.
