Hi..
i'm now using cyanogenmod 7.2 RC5
At first. the rom is ok.. everything is fine.. but on my second day my sgm always
hangs and i need to remove the battery and restart it again..
it happens when i open internet browser and look for pictures,
when i'm using antutu benchmark
when i play some games (HD)
can anyone give me tips?
sorry for bad english...
i suggest to use RC0 from subpsyke. it is less buggy and all works fine. in version 1.1 also google maps is fixed. give it a try
tnx for the reply..
i thought rc5 is the latest and more less bug than earlier version..
rc5 from squadzone is different from rc0 from subskype.
RC0 from subskype is pure cm7.2 compiled from source. it comes with tweaks and apps directly from cm 7.2. no other things are added.
It's all work for me...
Maybe u need to reflash your ROM...n use chainfire3D for game...n over to much overclock n use it by daily with that..
I suggest run in 657 Mhz if u don't do nothing n give it over to 768Mhz or above if u play the game...

If tested rc5 also and everything was fine! try to flash it again with clean install, erase not working maps and get the older working version! Dont oc to high and everything should be fine!

Hi, I'm new here and I'm glad that with my first post I'd be able to help someone.
Dude, try a clean instalation, use 2.3.4 XXKPI GINGERBREAD as a base for the CM update and i think you wont have any further problems. At least it worked for me.
P.S. Strictly follow the instalation instructions described at the squadzone's theme!
Then ENJOY it!
thanks for all the answers
my galaxy mini is working fine now..
i reinstall gingerbread 2.3.4
then flash again cm7 rc5
for now i didn't find any problems
sorry for bad english
now i realize
galaxy mini with cm7 rc5 is great
it speed up my phone with 806 mhz processor
i use antutu benchmark and my galaxy mini gets 2000 plus scores!!!

What sort of governor and i/o scheduler do you use? Do you use a third party app like No-Frills to set it or CyanogenMod's settings? I can only OC to 729MHz with InteractiveX gov, VR scheduler using No-Frills. Tried 806 and above but after a while the phone just freezes and reboots.
I did get a slightly better score on RC5.1 with 729 than RC4 with 734 MHz I noticed that graphics performance has increased greatly from RC4

Overclocking makes device faster... Are you using any custom rom or not? For set Cpu to work you must flash overclocking kernels first (which are only available for stock roms)

Aren't they available for custom roms, not stock roms?

and which OC u use, which rom?
http://www.mediafire.com/?7shfs8938g3l3 try
some of this oc i use 806mhz and on cm7 music edition v1.0 i got like 2100 score on antutu benchmark

have you tried with RC2?
to oc you mini steps are here
1. upgrade to gingerbread firmware i will recommend xxkpi firmware
2. partition your sdcard with the help of clockworkmod recovery partition it according to your sdcard i will recommend you to partition it to 256 mb on a 8 gb memory card it is sufficient swap size is optional it can be your virtual memory of ram (partitioning your sd card will format it completely so first save your data)
3. after it flash cm7.2.0 rc2 rom created by squadzone.
4. fash smartboot kernel created by squadzone.
that's it you have oc your mini
What is the best Custom Rom for Compatibily and game performance ?? Please answer !!! I mostly play games on my mini, but someone work on a rom adn others work on other rom. Please tell me
Stock rom is the best for playing games.
So, use stock or Emanon.
That's my opinion, maybe someone else have different opinion.

Now I use Andro-ID v3.2 and I have a benchmark of 1432. I think it sucks ...
More opinions ??
use cm7.2
i play a lot of games.... including games like asphalt....
flash cm7.2 ,get chainfire 3d plugin , overclock at 782Mhz kernel by squadzone, and no frills cpu .....and game on

What benchmark cm 7.2 has ? ? Emanom has aprox 1800
with 782mHz get 2052 score (with other CM tweakies)
with stock clock(600 mHz) get 1708 ( with other tweakies like SD cach on 4048, 16-bite ..., Hipe size on 64, system control tweaky and other CM setting.)
CM 7.1 or 7.2 is best rom for gamer but have little bugs ( fix soon ...! )

max i did 1900 after that it averages around 1700-1800
got emanonv3 2111 806MHz
I have a question , some games crash in Emanom V3, In Cm 7.2 Is a better compatibility for games ??
Yes,CM7 is good, but emanoN v3 it is better for me
ROM: CM 7.2.0 RC4
CPU frequency: 782mhz
AnTuTu benchmark: 1937 (without SD card score)
Best for games is ofc cm7

I don't know a lot in this subject but I noticed some settings in {Settings => CyanogenMod Settings => Performance} that control OC Process and have many options without any need of third party App. Am I correct? anyway, I'm not sure. but I tried some of these options and noticed that the phone rebooted many times so I knew that the process succeeded
OC kernel is already there in rc5.5,all u need to do is choose how much Mhz that u want in setting like Anass Ahmed said..
Hey
I put the emanon ROM on a Galaxy Mini as it was stated as the best. While it certainly looks great and feature full, now the person says it is slow and wants speed. So what is the fastest and best performing ROM out there for the Galaxy Mini?
Thanks!
you can try Minimod rom in forum. But I think emanon is the fastest and stable rom i've tried. Because it's based on stock rom...
Sorry, my English is not good
it depends on what baseband you are using, how many application and what application you are using.
there's a lot of point to see.
Minimod is fast but battery drained whitin half hour if u play games

Great ROM !
I think CM 7.2 RC 5.3 is great. I hav been using it since its release. It has a good battery back up nd its stable. Its fast too. I havnt tried RC 5.6 but, it should be fast too. Give it a try.
But if u like stock look, then EmanoN v5 is the best.
try mebitek's cm7..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1475504
even i think that mebitek's is the best rom available right now....but if you want more features than it offers...then go for squadzone's CM7 or emanon....

Well.. Emanon seems to be more faster than other roms and it's very Stable. The v3 was very great, the only thing that it bugged my mind was the little problem with the wifi, but I think that it was fixed in the following versions.

I'm also using CM 7.2 RC 5.3. It saves battery and it has very good tweaks. I downloaded RC 5.6 but I didn't like it, because I felt it more laggy than the 5.3, and they removed Total Commander (and other good apps).
Of course, the Governor that you'll use will be the battery consumption that you'll have. I use the InteractiveX and the CPU frequency are:
Min CPU Frequency: 245 Mhz
Max CPU Frequency: 768 Mhz
And it goes perfect that way.. xD

should i uninstall the original script ?
Not sure but i remember something about lmk causing issues. Could be wrong but maybe try that on default.
I'm running slim ics 3.6, semaphore 1.1.1sbm but with everything default and am happy. Been using semaphore/slim ics combo for a month or so with no force closes at all.

You know, that question is a bit like asking "what is the healthiest dinner?" and expect to get to same answer from everyone.
Different roms are more stable for certain usage. That said, AOKP roms are most stable for me, I've had no issues at all on infinitum.
Non ics roms would be Darky 9.5, rock solid with working call recording. This is pretty widely recognized as a very stable rom.

i set it to smartass but still no sio ... not a big deal ok ...
but all these is from smerphone app ... when you go to nstools there is much less option & the highest cpu is 1000mhz
mean while in smerphone you can get it up to 1300 mhz but as soon you leave the apps it goes back to 1000 ... but every other setting stay as i choose ... & when you try to make the profile default as your profile the phone completely shut down
so i did as most of people think which is the fastest ... but still 2 things i cant do
sio
highest cpu ( 1300 ) am stuck with (1000 )
