u mean nextgen+ can connect wirelessly with zune?
Any ROM can. When you sync with Zune, on the device summary tab, it will tell you can set it up. Or go to settings (in Zune), Phone and wireless sync.

Hey, i just got my tilt last night and immediately threw on hyperdragon iii pro so much better than the original ATT rom
anyway, just a few quick questions..
1) it used to say 3G AT&T on my today screen, but now it says AT&T, is there anyway i can get the 3G back? I'm connected via hsdpa already
2) how do i make MP3 ringtones louder? there doesn't seem to be any ringer volume setting
3) does anyone have any good games (free or pay - doesn't matter)? my phone feels empty without a good game or two
thanks
1, H is better than 3G. You're connecting to HSDPA.
2, Use another 3rd party application to boost the volume of mp3 and save it to your tilt OR pick another mp3 file.
3, Many games are available from "call of Duty" to "Mine Sweeper". Google it.
1. you can use schaps advanced configurator to set the "3G" back in front of the att text. It will also let you insert a custom text in that position.
mmm thanks for the tips
btw, does staying on HSDPA consume more power than 3G? what about EDGE? will it use more power to keep my phone connected to MEdianet?
"Audacity" is a good one for messing with mp3s, you can boost the volume, chop and change them, etc.
It's a freebie, too:

Not quite sure about "staying on HSDPA consume more power than 3G" because in the area I'm in, H always shown up. On EDGE mode, your tilt will run longer on stanby mode, but less on talk time; with the same juice (err, ... i mean same batt.)
Normally, phone is not always connected to internet unless you tweak it or run some applications which are required to connect to internet e.g skype, IM+ or streaming audio/video. The only bad point about 3G/H so far is you don't know people call you at the time you're connected to internet via MediaNet for example, streaming audio.
hello,
I have just purchased the new TD 2, it is the first phone of this kind that I use (up till now I have only used Nokia Business phones)
Although I considered myself a person that knows his way around how to use a mobile phone, I was surprised to actually be forced to read the manual for the HTC TD2 - unfortunately the information in the manual is general and did not help me at all...
ok so here are the problems I hit:
1. For internet access I have activated "Vodafone Live!" packet with my network (Vodafone) - (internet works fine with no probs)
However, whenever I am near a Wi-Fi zone I would like to use that Wi-Fi signal to connect to the internet and NOT my "Vodafone Live!" setting.
I could find NO way to select how to use Wi-Fi and not the other preset network. (As far as I can see the phone still uses Vodafone Live! and not the Wi-Fi, although I previously manually connected to the Wi-Fi and I tested on my other phone that it is working...)
2. With my other business phone (nokia) whenever I stop using the internet page the phone disconnects (the 2 arrows disappear) but with TD2 I have the impression that even when I exit from Opera or IE the phone still remains connected somehow to the internet - how can I make it disconnect and not use the battery for no reason ?
The only way I found to manually disconnect it is going to START / Settings / Communications / the Push Data Connection button to OFF.
Is there any automatic way to do that whenever I quit the browser?
Thank you in advance for u`r help

The Touch Diamond 2 will use an active WIFI connection over your Vodafone Live! connection. If you are wanting to connect to a Public WIFI zone, then simply select the WIFI connection that you want from you list on the "Connect to Wi-Fi network" screen.

If this really bothers you there are applications dotted around here on XDA devs that will automaticaly disconnect your internet connection after a preset amount of time. That said though, just because the TD2 has a connection to the internet, does not mean that it is transmitting any data and does not use up any of your internet allowance and also it will not drain your battery that much.
Thank you very much for the explanations and u`r time!
Regarding the first problem above that is good news, although I don’t like it that I don’t have full control over it.
for example I’m going abroad next week for 10 days and I rly don’t want to use the Vodafone live! option as it will cost as hell
an option where I could be prompted and asked if I want it enabled or not - would have been great...
guess ill just delete it from the connections tab and reinstall it when I get back in my country - seems to be the only safe option.
One more thing,
Whenever I try to access a video-clip over the internet (using the IE not the Opera) the phone automatically directs to the program STREAMING VIDEOS program)
And here the clip ONLY works if I select to connect over “THE INTERNET” – why ??
For example if I go to Streaming Videos / Networks, I can find the following:
Vodafone Live!
Vodafone MMS
Mobile internet
My Work Network
My ISP
Work
Secure Wap Network
The Wap Network
The internet
What the heck are all those ??? I only know of “Vodafone Live!” - and the straming video does not work when I select it … it only works when I select THE internet (like I said above)
Ah, if you are going abroad or just anywhere that you don't want to use Vodafone Live!, there is a little application called "NoData" which allows you to toggle your data connections on/off.
Will edit this post once I find where it is again.
[edit] Here it is:

As for streaming videos, I've never used it so can't say.

Indeed, NoData is a handy tool.
What you can also use is the following one found on XDA-devs:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=503131
It will automatically turn off your data connection when you're not on your standard network.
It isn't perfect, but it works well and the developer is really listening to all suggestions and very active.
you guys are a pice of heaven
thank you again for all u`r help
question, this program NoData, also stops Wi-Fi data transfers or just network ?
thank you
NoData will only stop phone network connections. You will be able to use wifi as normal.
Is there anything I can do about it? I use a custom rom - cant remember which one - that runs win.6.5.5 ... I got an advanced settings prog under which I already chose that I dont want wifi to disconnect if there is no activity (thats the only wifi related option I get)
Any idea how I can stop wifi from disconnecting when the screen goes off? It makes conversations on msn impossible
thx

i think most people know this tool or similar tools, i searched for an option to switch beetween netwok states automatically
to save battery .....
here's my combination that i use currently
WiFi-Matic - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.cprados.wificellmanager&hl=de
Toggle 2G - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=739530
Toggle 2G Plugin - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mb.toggle2g.plugin.notification&hl=de
These combination does the following for me, Auto Connect/Disconnect Wifi via Network cell Location and
switches 2g/3g/LTE Mobile Network automatically in condition to the Wifi and Phone State (e.g. screen off = 2g)
These Tools are fire and forget, i don't have to hazzle with manual toggles or such.
If you are on CM based Rom you can install toggle 2G with the zip from the App-Main thread
- http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1642610&d=1358118015
after that install toggle 2g plugin from playstore and if needed Wifi-Matic
I'am on carbon rom with Iodak Kernel 8.5, with these tools it gives me a great battery live even on 1.5 or 1.7 ghz
Example; from 100% to 98% in 1h 50min @home with Wifi on, 2 Phonecalls for around 18 minutes, a few What's App
Messages and playin aroung with Phone Settings .....

i'll be needing something like this soon for my new job, thanks for not making me shift through countless pages to find the apps i needed
That is what i am looking for
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda premium
This is so much apps for a single feature. I recommend Tasker for doing such things. It's worth every single penny for it.

I dont think, Tasker can toggle 2G/3G ... (no tool that I found until yet can do it)
Does anyone know of an app that will automatically turn off mobile data when i'm successfully connected to a WiFi connection have have internet access through it.
The app should do something like this...
1. Check for WiFi connection
2. If WiFi = connected, then test WiFi connection
3. If connection = Good, then turn off Mobile Data, else leave Data connection ON
If you suggest Tasker, then you better follow it up with a full write-up on how to set it up on Tasker.
I believe (someone will correct me if I'm wrong) that Android is programmed to use wifi when it's available, even though your data connection looks as if it's on.
If you're not happy with that, Automate It should be able to do something for you. I have Automate It Pro set to turn off wifi & data at midnight, for example, to avoid the nuisance of emails pinging me in the middle of the night. And it switches wifi & sync on at 09:00 each day. Very useful tool, simpler than Tasker, so no tutorial from me...
There are a few Automate apps in the Play Store - it's this one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=AutomateIt.mainPackage
This free version allows you 3 (as I recall) triggers - if you need more it's not too expensive to buy Pro.
I use RadioControl to handle that for me.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nikhilparanjape.radiocontrol&hl=en
It requires root, and it's not perfect. But it works well enough for me.

Try smart radio xposed module.

Tasker does it pretty simply, but it needs root access..
Set up (2) tasks - I called mine Data Off & Data On. You will need to select "Net/Mobile Data" and then set "On" or "Off" respectively. Next set up your profile. Select "State/Net/Wifi Connected", and leave everything empty and save. This will trigger the profile when any wifi is connected. (Optionally, you could set it to your home or work wifi, etc). Your "task" will be "Data Off", then add an "exit task" for "Data On" (by long pressing the Data On and selecting "exit task").

^^^^ This. Android has done this for years. Some devices have the ability to keep mobile data on with wifi, but those usually default to OFF.
Note in the screenshot below that my Cellular network state (mobile data) is "Disconnected"
