[Q] [I9001] Problem with blackscreen while phoning - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys and girls,
because of a missing "I9001-General Q&A" Board, I'm "forced" to post this here.
I have a little but anoying problem with my I9001.
I have a car-holder for my phone, to use it while driving. But it's nearly Unusable, because of my Problem.
Everytime, I receive a call, the screen went black (locked), wenn I'm answering the call, so I'm not able to activate the FreeSpeak-Mode.
I have currently installed a custom rom (cymod Version 0.4-8) and the Go Ex-Dialer, but I'm sure, that this problem has allready been there with Stock-Rom (2.3.6 KPS + KPU).
I also have had tried the "Carmode" App in the cymod. It brings the phone in the carmode (special menu, no lockscreen), I can answer the call... and the screen go's black and is locked.
Is there any way to prevent the phone from going black when phoning ?
The nearly same will happens, wenn I start a call. When I start the call, I only have 1 or 2 seconds to active the freespeak-mode, after that time the screen goes black.
It's nearly ironical: As soon as the call has endet (by the other side, because I have a locked blackscreen and unlocking don't works really good in this situation), the screen comes back to live... but to late for my freespeak-mode...
Can anyone help with this problem, is there a app or something else out there ?

Hmm, der Bildschirm wird normalerweise schwarz, wenn sich etwas dem Bildschirm nähert (also z.B. dein Ohr) durch den Näherungssensor. Wird er vielleicht in der Halterung verdeckt?

Thank you for your answer.
Also we are booth german I think, it's more confident for all other user to write english here, that are the rules here, and I think we should stay within the rules.
Back to topic.
Seems that it has been two point's together, that creates my problem.
Fist:
I don't mentioned it, but i have had used Go Dialer Ex (I like it much), and it seems, that it somehow affects the "come back to live" time of the screen (maybe in combination with the cynob-mod / FeaCore).
The second point was, that i haven't been aware, how long the I9001 needs to bring the screen back after removing it from the head (or, in other words, how slow the proximity-sensor reacts). The combination of the sluggishness of the proximity-sensor reaction and the Go Dialer Ex issue forced me to think, that there was a problem with the call-blackscreen.
After I uninstalled Go Dialer Ex, there are still 3-4 seconds idle time before the screen comes back to life after the proximity-sensor got "free" but now it's repoducible and therefor I can life with it.

Kaiser not booting just staying on smart mobility screen

Lock display while using GPS

Hi,
I'm using my Xperia as mobile navigtion while I'm riding my motorbike. Two days ago I was driving on the highway...when suddenly my music stopped and my device startet a Phonecall (to the last person I called) - this happened THREE TIMES in half a hour! (kinda expensive...)
While I'm using TomTom (or any other GPS software) I cannot turn the keylock in, because then the software won't get any GPS-signal.
Now I wanted to know if anybody knows a registry-string I have to change that GPS would work while I'm using for example TomTom and listening to music and turn the keylock on.
I updated my Rom to R3AA007 few days ago...but with older ROMs it's the same...
As far as i know, most of nav-progs have a lock-while-drive-mode, maybe the tomtom too.
that'S not enough. when you break at a traffic-light, the lock may be removed because it's only active over a defined speed. but when I'm using it with my motorbike, it's in my pocket...and everytime the touch-display could be touched....even if I stop at a traffic light
Looks like we have the same problem. I'm also interested to know how to work around this.
if you don't like to se quickGPS, you could turn your phone off and on again (without entering the pin number....if you leave it off, tomtom tells you, that you are using flight-mode ) but I'd like to use quickGPS...
does nobody have an idea?
perhaps some keywords to search in the regitstry...??
up...perhaps somebody now has got any idea...
keylock is not the problem.
i bet 5$ that u have used the included headset right?
the bulky part where you connect ur earphones is the problem. the tiny switch used for accepting calls is either totaly borked or the connector itself is. i have exact the same problem. i called a mate like 20 times.
i use my phone to listen to music while i drive my motorcycle any my keypad is locked all the time. it doesnt realy matter why prog u are running.
when u press the little button short or long (cant remember) it starts calling the last person on your dial list. somehow this button seem to be pretty sesitive to movements. this also works when the keypad is locked.
so either we buy a new headset or we find teh registry entry which defines the use of this worthless button

Old X1 but Just used, annoying problems

Okay, a year ago I received X1 from my daddy and never been used (still in packaged). When my O2 mini was broken month ago, I opened the package and used X1. But I found some annoying hardware (or software) thing from this Luxurious XDA.
1. Annoying 'OK' button, sometimes it's working but sometimes not. Very annoying, is it normal?
:: I've read about keyboard faulty design but they usually happened to 'space' button ::
2. Very slow, after xperia boot up screen it needs 15 seconds (Black screen) to enter Windows Mobile screen, is it normal?
:: FYI, I have 70% FREE RAM and 50% FREE Storage and 40% FREE SD Card::
3. It's always getting very hot when I used the XDA for receiving radio, is it normal?
4. I'm on plane twice a day to go to my office, it's annoying that I can't use the bluetooth (X1's in flight mode) to sync data from my laptop while my plane is cruising, is it really like that?
Can somebody clear 'em for me? Or really it's all the syndrome that is caused by savinng my X1 in pacakge for year?
Or does it mean,I have to buy another new XDA?

1 I never really use the Ok button so cant help you there, I normally use the screen or keyboard or the pad. the keyboard can be a bit funny sometimes, but you can clean it.
2 You could try a different rom. Several of the roms on this site load up very fast.
3 I have noticed it can get fairly hot if I am using the radios for data transfer after a bit of use
4 In comm manager you can turn the phone off and the bluetooth on. You do not need to use flight mode. Flight mode is for those airlines that do not like ANY radios on at all.
Hope this helps

they both should work at same time no matter what.
Could be software problem but the only way to fix would be reset. You can use TWRP for backup and restore.
Add similar problem with HTC one mini (m7) and this fix it.
Already done a hard reset and still the same problem. I contacted HTC now and they told me this was a feature for this version of device. When the proximity sensor is fully covered only 1 speaker (the bottom) will work. This is ridiculous and I will return this smartphone.
LOL it's not a bug it's a feature. Never noticed that. But wasn't there something with pocket mod? when the phone is in the pocket it should ring louder and not with just 50%??

I tried to check and unchek that feature and still the same problem. This issue is so dump that HTC call it a feature on this phone... Can anyone with the HTC ONE MINI 2 verify on your phones if does the same thing?
I can test it. I'll tell you if i have the same "feature".

Already done that and the 2 speakers works. As i said, only 1 speaker workd when i have the phone on my pocket or if the proximity sensor is fully covered.
Do you have the same "feature" while hearing music?? Since yesterday nobody called me

Nop... just only when i receive phone calls.... don't u have a phone there that u can call it? xP
I just tested it, but i had the impression that both speaker worked.
I covered the whole upper speaker, but the lower still ringed.

Weird shrunk lock screen behavior

Hi there!
A few days ago I bought a used broken Huawei P9 on ebay. Seller said he can't get it to boot, so that's why he wants to sell it. I thought he has probably just never heard of hard reset and stuff like that and that I can probably fix it.
So I got the phone to boot up, but then I noticed something weird.
The lock screen is somehow very small and takes up less than half of the screen.
In addition to that the screen doesn't respond to any touches.
Link to a photo of my screen: ibb.co/ixmLKe
I know the touch screen isn't broken, because the boot animation looks normal and in recovery mode I can select the buttons by touching. So everything works properly up to the point when Android boots up.
I've tried various Android 6 stock roms, bootloader is locked, phone is not rooted.
I can boot up to recovery and fastboot, but I can't unlock bootloader, therefore I can't really make use of fastboot.
Has anyone every experienced such weird behavior on an Android phone?
You can try with DC Phoenix
https://www.dc-unlocker.com/DC-Phoenix-flash-repair-tutorial
maybe it can force to unlock Bootloader (and then to restore firmware)

I read this minimized screen can be caused by the Smart-Cover Mode (Picture). If you have a Cover, try to open and close it a few times (there's a magnet inside the cover that indicates changes). If you have no Cover you can use a magnet to simulate one. More about Covers. https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/accessories/huawei-p9-smart-cover-t3492401

That definitely makes sense. I looked it up and my screen looks exactly like if the phone had a smart cover on.
You're a lifesaver!
I've tried a magnet, but it doesn't seem to change anything.
I found this post by another user on here with the same problem and he solved it, but his solution is a bit complicated.
I'm still not sure how to solve it, but at least I know the problem now and I will look into it.

Dear Admins, sorry for the native language excursion:
Gern geschehen. Viel Erfolg!

I got it fixed at a local repair shop, but all they could do was to replace the display unit.
It turned out to be a water damage and because of that the smart cover mechanism was broken, which lead to the phone always acting as if a smart cover was put on.
You could try fixing it with a magnet first, but for me that didn't work.
i read your description and checked the photo of your phone, and i am currently experiencing exactly the same issue. in my case, it is almost certainly related to moisture (the phone had a short adventure in a (clean!) toilet bowl). i am hoping a few months of drying in a well ventilated spot with an open sim card slot will fix it (for you as well), while i borrow my boyfriend's spare windows phone (ugh!)...
