[Q] Video Issue - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, i flash the kernel days ago, and i have this problem.
Cant see videos from youtube, Where the video supouse to be, appears color lines flicking, and dont shoy the video.
The same flicking color lineas appears for a moments when the tab is booting, before the samsung animation.
Ant the same thing when i go to cwm recovery, i cant see anything in this screen.
i made a overclock, but i think that when im inside cwm, before the tablet boot, setcpu still dont do de OC, then, maybe the OC damage something inside about acceleration or video things?
Is there a rom or kernel that i could try to fix it?
My Tab model is GT-P1000L
thanks in advance.

[Q] Camera Screen Problem?

Hi, sometimes this happen to me alot in the past month i keep getting a problem in my SGT and i really dont know causing the problem but its not really a BIG problem but a irritating problem some time when i watch or a movie a video of a game file play for example NOVA or any other Games that Starts with a Video. then for example i stop playing and go to the Camera some part of the picture get stuck on the screen but the camera is on and working fine but the visual is dead. like a Stuck image the only think i could do is reset the Tab but still how to fix this or is this already an issue?.. Thanks
I think this is a known issue, but I'm not aware of a permanent fix. For me, it's usually a partial image from the last youtube video I was watching.
This is probably unrelated, but I moved most of my apps to SD to free up internal phone storage space. Waiting to see if glitch still occurs.

[Q] O2x performance degradation.

Got a sim free o2x and immediately upgraded it to gingerbread using LG's tool.
I have noticed that the performance degrades over time especially noticable with scrolling web pages and youtube.
From a clean boot, i fire up youtube and can watch big bug bunny in 1080p full screen and very smooth. When I come back to it a few days lastr, the same video stutters and the audio also skips. I can create this effect a lot quicker by playing something with the built in video player. After having played a video on SD card, i go back to youtube and its a stutter show again.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this using standard gingerbread on the O2x? I'v tried killing various apps and uninstalling others but nothing very scientific and the only way I can get back to normal performance if with a reboot. Any help gratefully appreciated!
Sounds to me like the ram is busy. Just try an app that cleans up the ram.
Stock kernel has bug in memory management. Solution is to flash for example Spica's kernel, latest r11-c is very very good.
Evidently that supposes to root - instal clockwork mod recovery first.

I have a problem with Spica's kernel , I think that it doesnt support netfilter (iptables) thus I cant use Droidwall, any solution?
Thanks
Instal iptables from market?
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mgranja.iptables
Edit: the app says that iptables is already installed in kernel, not in the latest version but present. That's perhaps the problem. Only thing is to ask Spica to update to last version.
Ohhhh, i will check it later! thanks!!!
Have tried some RAM clean up apps, unfortunately it makes no difference. The amount of RAM free seemed to make no difference, i had it running smoothly with 82mb free and stuttering with over 100mb ram. If something like this was happening on my linux box I would assume something is hogging the cpu but the apps i have tried seem to indicate nothing is consuming a lot of cpu resources.
I don't want to consider reflashing with another ROM if I can avoid it. Is there anything else I could try?
Kernel problem. Read above.

Reboot your dam phone then.... pcs also get laggy when they have been on for a long time, so reboot and or flash a decent kernel.
Use stock kernel\rom from 20o
I have the same problem. After about 36 hours, the phone becomes laggy. It lags when waking up the screen, it lags in menus, etc so i have to reboot it every 36 hours or so.
Speaking of kernels and roms, i've tried them all by now. From CM7 (which i could not get along with, functionality wise) to Topogigi, spica, Thanatos, carburano, gueste and erestor.
I am now on gueste 2.1 stable SR1 and the problem persists.
After about 16 hours wake-up and the lockscreen lags, after about 24 hours scrolling becomes choppy, after 36 hours dialer, contacts and other apps start slowly and lag big time.
This is the same behaviour in all roms and kernels tried (except CM7 which is a no go for me).
L.E.:
Of course, rebooting solves the problem for the next 20 hours or so, but its quite inconvenient.

[Q] video freezing often leading to reset

Running stock gingerbread xwjp9 with overcome 4.0.0 kernel. I am running setcpu and have tried up to 1200 undervolted by -75. Everything is stable works well except video.
Some streaming apps fail and cause a reset. Also now starting to fail on running normaql avi's, mkv,s etc.
I have tried different governers and different video players, but it runs for about 5-15 mins then bombs.
Any ideas?
cheers
I think u have set up correctly the voltages of your version, or perhaps you need to update the kernel, is better and simply that way. search if your kernel is compatibly with your galaxy tab.
because the voltages of the overclocking are not correctly your galaxy tab dont work property and when u see multimedia files they top the mhz and they reset for support, and make dont up more the temperature of the core and make safe way. is like a computer when the temperature of the cpu is to high they reset for warning.
Try to found a better kernel, because the kernel make the paremters of the function of the o/c, try to found one in humberos.com.br and for your correctly firmware version
ii hope i help u. y have the same problem in the galaxy tab p1000n and they fix them in that way

¿EXTRAordinary ICS bugs?

Hello,
Does anyone know if 720p and 480p is working on this rom. I seem to have both but when I record there is a delay when starting to record and a huge delay when stopping. It seems that the video file gets corrupted and gallery can play the video. I am using semaphore kernel and it also behaved the same way with icy glitch kernel. I also don't have Bigmem activated. ¿Is this a Rom related issue or kernel?
Also can't get the external SD to work. Rom tells me that it's mounted but I can't access it. This also happens in CWM. (SD is in perfect working condition).
EDIT: Also a small bug with WiFi tethering. Seems when I turn it on, it auto-shuts off and then i have to select it again. After the second time it works fine. No biggie, just wanted to inform.
Thanks!!!

[HELP] Problem with random freezes while charging after changing kernel.

Dear Xda Forums
I have to say this is the first question that I post, after some years of use of this forums, but I couldn't find what I looked in the search section, perhaps I didn't search correctly.
Long story short, I had a Xperia X10 which was easy enough to root, but with the Samsung Galaxy S3 it was a total madness, specially since I forgot to backup my IMEI, rom and kernel problems, etc...
After testing some ROMs, I settled with the stock ROM, which I quite like and used the Boeffla 5.2 Kernel for Android 4.3.
The perfomance improved greatly, however, sometimes the device just freezes in a black screen, just like it was locked, and the odd thing is that the LED that flashes when a notification is pending, still is flashing, like the device is in perfect condition. I try to unlock it with the home key, wait, then with the power key and wait again, and nothing.
Sometimes it just freezes in the contacts or message apps.
UPDATE: I now see that one of the most serious problems is that the device freezes (black screen+flashing green light) when charging, which is very troubling because I charge it through the night and it is my alarm clock.
The only changes that I made to the stock rom (apart from root and kernel change) was to install Yahoo's Aviate.
Maybe it was very n00by of me to change the Kernel in the stock rom, but if indeed I was, is there any way to flash the Kernel again? Or is it a problem between SuperUser and Knox? ( I have used the terminal to disable KNOX and the problem persists).
Thank you.
