I've been having this problem for awhile now.
Where the left part of my screen would become unresponsive in any app. Usually lock screen and back on would solve it, or just a rotate screen.
But I was wondering if anyone has the problem as well?

I had this problem a few months ago, i was told that the touchpad had a hardware problem, they gave me a replacement phone.
Mmm so it's a hardware issue?
I think it's too late for me to get a replacement now lol

Are you on ics?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Yes, but it happen before on gingerbread too
I am not so sure that it's hardware, if I rotate the screen and click on that are part of the screen which was unresponsive before it would work.

Does anyone else have this problem? It happening on and off so it's hard to pin down what is causing this.

For some reason my phone froze awake at the home screen last night while charging and now my home screen is permanently etched in. When I restart my phone, as soon as the screen lights up I can see my home screen while it boots and continually afterwards. Is there any way to fix this?

If you have warranty you can give that a check see if samsung/att will help you out. Super AMOLED screens have a expected 2 year after that screens start to burn in (usually blue is the first to burn).
My phone is now unusable, once you turn it on the soft keys will light up on their own, any idea how to fix? It will randomly click home button and will exit everything you're doing.
Could it be my screen digitizer? I'm running the ics leak.

AW: Nexus 7 Screen Going Crazy Help!!!w
Do you have touch-recovery.If so is it doing the same thing in recovery?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
I would return the unit if that is possible.
I don't know if touch threshold sensitivity can even be adjusted - but it should not be your responsibility to have to fiddle with it.
Just curious though (without changing my opinion about a return) - does the problem happen randomly, or only in specific circumstances e.g. plugged into a charger, with the unit sitting on specific surfaces, or when the humidity is low?
It just started doing this yesterday.

No on touch recovery its not rooted! I used stock recovery..

same problem here...i sent it to repair once but after a few months the problem came back again...
I'd say warranty that thing, sounds like a hardware problem

Wet apply screen protector? Let it dry.
The title explains it all, this just started happening this morning. I even booted into recovery and can see it not it bootloader. There was a couple sense 5.5 roms I flashed before that had this but now its on CM 10.1. And its very annoying I haven't dropped my phone or applied any type of pressure to the screen. Wondering if anyone has solution or any knowledge if why this happens.

I hope you realize that there isn't anything on these screenshots. Most likely your problem is hardware related not software related, that's why it doesn't show up in the screenshots

Oh wow stupid me! Thanks I still see it on phone but not on my computer. I'm try flashing a ROM or running an ruu see if itll fix the problem.

Just a heads up, don't get excited. This is most likely a hardware problem.
Try putting it in the freezer overnight, it has solved many of these issues(not kidding). Just make sure you wrap it with a plastic bag

I decided not to run an ruu. I just held my power button for two minutes. Everything is back to normal.

Hello! I have had a problem with my screen recently for two weeks now. The middle part of the screen is unresponsive. Take a look at the pic. I am running ARDH 21.0 android 4.3 s-on. My question is has anybody had this problem before or what steps should I take to try to fix it. Thanks

I have the exact same problem and I think it's related to the 4.4.2 update. Has anyone been able to resolve this?
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
For those having the same issue, I was not able to resolve this (tried flashing a stock RUU too) and took the device for repairs and received a replacement.
