Hello! I have had a problem with my screen recently for two weeks now. The middle part of the screen is unresponsive. Take a look at the pic. I am running ARDH 21.0 android 4.3 s-on. My question is has anybody had this problem before or what steps should I take to try to fix it. Thanks

I have the exact same problem and I think it's related to the 4.4.2 update. Has anyone been able to resolve this?

For those having the same issue, I was not able to resolve this (tried flashing a stock RUU too) and took the device for repairs and received a replacement.

I've been having this problem for awhile now.
Where the left part of my screen would become unresponsive in any app. Usually lock screen and back on would solve it, or just a rotate screen.
But I was wondering if anyone has the problem as well?

I had this problem a few months ago, i was told that the touchpad had a hardware problem, they gave me a replacement phone.
Mmm so it's a hardware issue?
I think it's too late for me to get a replacement now lol

Are you on ics?

Yes, but it happen before on gingerbread too
I am not so sure that it's hardware, if I rotate the screen and click on that are part of the screen which was unresponsive before it would work.

Does anyone else have this problem? It happening on and off so it's hard to pin down what is causing this.

I have talked to HTC customer, they say HTC will fix this in next update.
Is this a widespread issue, happening to everyone?
I noticed when I was restoring apps using Carbon from my Nexus 4, the repeated act of installing an app from the market, then pressing back to return to Carbon, my back button would not respond and I'd have to either wait 15-45 seconds, or turn the screen off and on.
I have since had the back button stop working while using Tapatalk, Blinkfeed etc, any app that causes heavy use of the back key to, well, go back!
I am reluctant to unlock the bootloader and try ROM's based on a newer base if it isn't known to fix the problem, as I don't want any difficulty returning my handset if the fault is hardware. Current ROM is stock 1.28.401.7
Cheers!
I thought this was a hardware fault not a software fault ?

Does anyone have the Stock RUU zip for the AT&T HTC One? Having an issue and need to exchange it. Not related to a custom ROM.
Or does anyone know how to completely restore to stock without it unlocked, no tamper notice or red text during boot etc?
should be in Q and A
No luck. Really need to return phone to stock. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Flash the Stock ROM in the AT&T HTC ONE Development section. Then return the phone. They almost never check anyways.
Just switched mine 20 minutes ago due to issue with microphone.

They do not check. They open the box to make sure the phone is there, and that's all.
Ur right....just returned it...guy didn't even turn it on....was a nice phone but wasn't in love with it....

I just received an assurion replacement yesterday, I'm all stock. Will installing the update with button sensitivity interfere with the rooting I'm going to do? Also I did not get refurb, I got brand new in box with all the accessories in case anyone is wondering. Thx for replies.
No, if youre just rooting then it dosent matter and if you're gonna throw a custom ROM then, it still doesn't matter because you'd be replacing the Sprint stock software anyhow.

The title explains it all, this just started happening this morning. I even booted into recovery and can see it not it bootloader. There was a couple sense 5.5 roms I flashed before that had this but now its on CM 10.1. And its very annoying I haven't dropped my phone or applied any type of pressure to the screen. Wondering if anyone has solution or any knowledge if why this happens.

I hope you realize that there isn't anything on these screenshots. Most likely your problem is hardware related not software related, that's why it doesn't show up in the screenshots

Oh wow stupid me! Thanks I still see it on phone but not on my computer. I'm try flashing a ROM or running an ruu see if itll fix the problem.

Just a heads up, don't get excited. This is most likely a hardware problem.
Try putting it in the freezer overnight, it has solved many of these issues(not kidding). Just make sure you wrap it with a plastic bag

I decided not to run an ruu. I just held my power button for two minutes. Everything is back to normal.
