Hi,
My TYTN-II is powering/shutting off upon incoming call or connecting with GPRS..
Let me narrate the problem in details....
Almost a month ago i activated my GPRS/Data connection and i installed WMWiFiRouter almost a week ago. Then I start noticing that after activating WiFiRouter my phone powered off after 10-15 minutes use. After noticing this several times ; i stop using the WiFiRouter. Then i realised that my phone shutting off whenever i try to connect GPRS or try to update the weather.
And before turning off the screen start flickering..
After that i stop using the GPRS...
But on the very next morning; i noticed that upon recieving the incoming call the screen flickered for a while and then phone powered off. And when i turn on the phone i noticed that at the GREEN WM startup screen Phone flickered and then phone powered off.
BUT if i remove the SIM from the phone then there is no flickering... and device starts up without any flickering.
And BTW i also try upgrading the WM6.1 OEM RUU but that didn't solve the problem So then i revert back to WM 6 OEM RUU
So now question is ; is it Hardware problem or Software ? And is there any solution ?
Looking forward for a positive response.
Thanks
I checked some other forums and is it possible if this relates with Battery ?
Since my battery is almost 50% from its original condition and i am still using the Original Supplied Battery since NOV-07...
Any input would be highly appreciated....
Yes, it seems it could relate to the battery. All the operations you describe are those where current draw will be high. If you can, it would be good to try another battery.
Hi,
Just to update the community that after replacing the battery; all the above mentioned problems have been solved....
Hi all,
I've been having some random reboots w/ my N1. I got the ATT version w/ 2.3.3 Gingerbread (Latest OTA) Also happened while running Froyo
Not rooted, all stock.
Carrier Cable & Wireless Panama City, Panama
I have already wiped the phone via the security menu and via the recovery boot and doesn't work
I have tried to recreate the problem but I haven't been able to isolate to a particular application or moment that could cause the problem.
Could the 3G data connection cause the problem? I also read about overheating but the problem is completely random.
I would appreciate any tips.
Rob
Suggest you try running a log cat to help identify the issue...

Any particular recommendations from the app market?
Rob
Long time since I've used one...
Download a few, and see which you like. Some let you filter results by significance, others display in different colors, etc. They'll all give you the same info...

Log
Alright here is the log.
My guess is that this is like when Windows creates the minidumps when you get a BSOD. Let me know what to look for and again thanks for all the assistance.
I think I might have traced the problem to the charger. If use the phone for browsing, youtube, FB, IM, email etc etc. I can open all the apps and use them w/o the phone restarting but as soon as I plug in the wall charger or USB data cable it starts restarting. I have to remove the battery and then put it back and power on and let it charge until full. While charging I can use some apps but I try not to use the phone that much since it might restart.
The phone is the usual warm when is charging so I doubt is overheating
Anyone having this kind of problem?
Giving up
Well after a few months trying to figure out what is going on with my GN1, I decided to call it quits and call HTC to get a replacement.
My guess is that since the problem happens mostly when the phone is charging it could be a overheating problem. The same thing happens when you have a portable or desktop computer with overheating problems, it either starts rebooting, becomes really slow or shuts down.
Lets see if the replacement works better or I will have to sell the phone and maybe go back to iOS. :-/
Hello,
Wondering if anyone can help me.
My phone started rebooting it self recently. So i took out the battery for a few minutes and put it back in and then the phone did not turn on at all. And then when I connected my phone to the charger the amber light would come on but it would stay on when taken off the charger and not go off again.
Sometimes the phone starts up and then after a while the same problem occurs again. And the wired thing is that when I have this issue the computer will not recognise the phone. But when it starts up like it should I can communicate with my phone using ADB and Fastboot.
Anyone had any similar problems? Any solution?
Do u have a new ota update before it?

Hi every one this is my first post and was wondering if anyone has had this problem come up.
My wife has the I9000 and a couple months ago it started to show this problem of everytime the phone is in standby the screen keeps coming on or about a second or to then goes off for about a second the then on and it will keep doing this till it runs the battery down.
I have tried to do a complete ROM install fresh and factory resets and custom roms and the phone still keeps doing it. is there anything i can do or is the phone beyond fixing unless i take it apart??
Thanks
Andy
Hi,
This sometimes happens to me also. Reflashing does not seem to help.
The one thing that seemed to do any difference was to turn off the device, remove battery, sim card and SD card. Then plug them all back in and start the phone.
This sometimes worked or at least minimized the number of problems, but not a permanent solution.
Although your problem could be something completelly diferent.
No arm in trying this suggestion
Hi thanks for the reply.
I havd tried that. Atp the moment it has no sc card or sim card as she got a galaxy mini to use for moment and it still dose the same thing.
It is quite anoying as ya have to have it plugged into charge all time as batt drains really quickly.

One possibility is a hardware problem. Maybe one of your phone's buttons (home, power, or volume) is grounded and keep on contacting.
Another possibility is a program that is running automatically. If you're on ICS or JB, you can check your running apps in Settings/Apps/Running and see if there is a running app that can be stopped without affecting the system...
Just a suggestion.
is there a known solution for the "screen-turning-on-problem"?
friend of me has the same problem with non-rooted galaxy s+
The phone is on stock gb fresh install.
Might have to try and open it and see if anything wrong.

Hey there,
I have tried a search on this one and couldn't manage to get anywhere... lets see if anybody can help.
I have a HTC HD 7 and have had it for some time now. The phone has been constantly docked on the table as I didn't use it as my main phone and was only for development.
My girlfriend needed a phone so I have given it to her to use it.
She had been using the phone for about 5 days when the phone shut down. When she powered the phone back on it would not load past the HTC white boot screen.
The phone wouldn't do anything so I re-flashed the device.
It worked again for around 2 days when the phone did the same thing.
I am wondering if anybody knows how I can solve this problem with the HD7? Every re-flash she looses all her data and its really annoying.
Any ideas?
Thanks
