Hey there,
I have tried a search on this one and couldn't manage to get anywhere... lets see if anybody can help.
I have a HTC HD 7 and have had it for some time now. The phone has been constantly docked on the table as I didn't use it as my main phone and was only for development.
My girlfriend needed a phone so I have given it to her to use it.
She had been using the phone for about 5 days when the phone shut down. When she powered the phone back on it would not load past the HTC white boot screen.
The phone wouldn't do anything so I re-flashed the device.
It worked again for around 2 days when the phone did the same thing.
I am wondering if anybody knows how I can solve this problem with the HD7? Every re-flash she looses all her data and its really annoying.
Any ideas?
Thanks
u are not alone . common problem with the htc hd7. it seems this problem seems to develop over a course of time and upgrading the OS

I had this problem happen once with the dynamics rom. I reflashed with deepshining and did a hard reset through the os. No problems ever since.

Hi, I'm a noob on xda-developppers so yea, everybody hates me. But I would really appreciate any kind of help with this problem, which is:
I have had my htc incredible s for about a month now, and I love it. Only problem is, recently, it started crashing for no apparent reason and upon restarting, I send a troubleshoot message to htc. This has happened 8 times, and now the phone has crashed and refuses to start. The alarm woke me up at night and everything was fine with the phone, so I went back to sleep and 15 minutes later it refused to start. I've tried changing battery, charging, hooking it up to the computer... Nothing works, and it won't even acknowledge that it is being charged. I have no idea why it is doing this, especially since it's only a month old!
Can anyone help?
Restore to factory settings?
if that doesn't work, return it to HTC, might be hardware. i assume you're not yet flashing any custom ROMS right?
Try a factory reset as cardiii suggested ... If that dosent fix it ... Run a ruu ... If that dosent work either ... Then get a replacement ...
This might be cuz of some app u installed ... Anything installed before this happend?

Why don't you try to root and flash some roms to make a change with your phone ? I tried and that's so great.
Claim it and ask for new. Looks like HW issue.

Apply alpharevx and install custom roms !!!
or if u have a S-OFF Phone then Use ADB and get your phone rooted and install clockworldmod recovery !!!. Try getting your phone booted for once atleast and do not turn off , till you complete these Steps and install a custom ROM !!!
Looks like a bad application is causing it....

Hi every one this is my first post and was wondering if anyone has had this problem come up.
My wife has the I9000 and a couple months ago it started to show this problem of everytime the phone is in standby the screen keeps coming on or about a second or to then goes off for about a second the then on and it will keep doing this till it runs the battery down.
I have tried to do a complete ROM install fresh and factory resets and custom roms and the phone still keeps doing it. is there anything i can do or is the phone beyond fixing unless i take it apart??
Thanks
Andy
Hi,
This sometimes happens to me also. Reflashing does not seem to help.
The one thing that seemed to do any difference was to turn off the device, remove battery, sim card and SD card. Then plug them all back in and start the phone.
This sometimes worked or at least minimized the number of problems, but not a permanent solution.
Although your problem could be something completelly diferent.
No arm in trying this suggestion
Hi thanks for the reply.
I havd tried that. Atp the moment it has no sc card or sim card as she got a galaxy mini to use for moment and it still dose the same thing.
It is quite anoying as ya have to have it plugged into charge all time as batt drains really quickly.

One possibility is a hardware problem. Maybe one of your phone's buttons (home, power, or volume) is grounded and keep on contacting.
Another possibility is a program that is running automatically. If you're on ICS or JB, you can check your running apps in Settings/Apps/Running and see if there is a running app that can be stopped without affecting the system...
Just a suggestion.
is there a known solution for the "screen-turning-on-problem"?
friend of me has the same problem with non-rooted galaxy s+
The phone is on stock gb fresh install.
Might have to try and open it and see if anything wrong.

Hi everyone.
I would like to report a pretty fightening situation I faced with my ONE this morning.
I was at a coffe shop conected with wifi and at some point I tried to run Antutu (which I had done lots of time since the 31st of October that I got my One) the dvice gave me a notification that Antutu didnt work and If I wanted to report the problem.
I did click on the report the problem and the phone became unresponsive.
I pressed the power button to see if I can restart the phone but instead the screen became black and would turn on.
Pressing power button long the capacivity buttons were flashing and thats all.
I returned home and I connected it to the charger but the LED light didnt come on.
I tried immediately to turn the device on and to my delight it did boot and worked fine.
I also noticed tryibg quadrant benchmark this afternoon did not work.
Almost performed the test but then it stopped of course I didnt push harder and uninstall quadrant and antutu as well.
Has anyone faced this before?
If that happens again how can I reboot the phone to escape the frozen screen?
That sounds like defective hardware. I think you need to exchange for a new one or send to HTC to be fixed.

Since its working and its fully functional I think I can leave without the prety much useless benchmark apps.
Funny part is that this is a replacement phone from HTC Europe because my HTC ONE X had a BSOD problem after they replaced my mainboard and battery after another problem.
All in all it was a deja vu for me to see my almost 10 days old HTC ONE do the same problem the HTC ONE X displayed.
Maybe there is some kind of curse on me.
There is an ex-girlfriend I suspesct........
I have a similar problem with my HTC One, which i bought back in July.
Sometimes the phone refuses to wake up, i have to hold the power key, together with the home key to make it reboot.
Other times the screen refuses to turn off and only rebooting as described above helps.
I waited for the upgrade to Android 4.3, hoping the problem would be fixed.
Unfortunately it didn't help. I also tried to hard reset and initialize the phone a couple of times, also without luck.
I also tried to run the phone without my apps to be sure the problem was not caused by any one of them.
Yesterday i initialized again and the phone worked without problems, so this morning i added WhatsApp.
Everything worked ok for a couple of hours, so i added 2 more apps (news reader and an app to control the heating).
After a few hours the problem reoccured so i removed the last 2 apps and rebooted. After a couple of minutes it got stuck again.
Since i'm struggling with this problem for some weeks now and it seems to become worse, i decided to request HTC to repair or replace my phone.
Two of my friends also own a HTC One and don't have this problem.
Maybe you should also consider to get in touch with HTC.
Good luck!
What rom's and kernels are you all running?
You should be finding some girls in the coffee shop but you try to run Antutu instead?

Well the place was pretty boring in that area which explains why I was playing with the phone.
I thought that was apparent.....

Hi
Im new here and first time on doing anything like this to a phone and would like some help.
Im having a problem with it which is one of the reasons why im here to fix it,
the phone goes to the htc boot screen and vibrates 7 times, im guessing its overheating from what iv read on here and the phone it self works if left off for while you can get the phone running normally but after approx 20mins of using the phone it reboots a few times then stays on the htc logo at vibrates 7 times. (my pc detects the phone normally and in usb mode just fine)
from what iv read the only way too fix this is to install a nodo rom but there are so many different ones i have no idea which ones i need to use
so any help here would be great
Hey XDA,
I hope you guys can help me with this annoying problem I am having with my Xperia V.
Two weeks ago I flashed UniQue3 on my phone since I was pretty satisfied with the previous version and I wanted to try the new one. (I had stock installed before that, since it had android 4.3).
Then crazy stuff started happening: My phone would just reboot when I was typing a message or browsing the web. No biggy, this happened before sometime as well. This time it was different. It happened constantly. I could not use Whatsapp for longer than 5 min before my phone just rebooted. Funny thing is this only happened when I was not charging it. It happened while charging it as well, but not nearly as often, maybe once every 5 hours.
My phone would not shut down either if I did not use my screen. I can listen to music for hours without it rebooting, but as soon as I try to answer or even read a message my phone reboots...
So I thought it might be the ROM. I installed CyanogenMod and at first it was better. But after two days everything started again. I am really confused as to what is wrong and I can't find a proper answer online. Some say it's Android 4.3, others say it's the battery.
So I was hoping you guys could help me out.
Greetings,
Krytos.
Try flashing the stock Rom and see if the problem still happens

Just flashed the stock rom and it did not help. Issue is still present.
Which tells you it's a hardware prob = bacterie
Yeah, that's what I thought. Gladly I bought a battery like three days ago, so I hope that will fix my issues.
maybe hardware problem of battery or even board.
Try to lock boot loader if it is open.
