curious,
the Note doesn't use CSV for its audio system.

anyone already try this? can i flash it with Rocket Rom v21 base LA4?

semms the only solutio is VOODOO LOUDER.
Supports the Note yet.
just send a message for a Paypal way to pay for it.
Lets see,

Don't understand the bass need. Buy a pair of better headphones and let them do the job.
Poweramp + voodoo louder is way more secure then this.

Litle over teaction this. How good your box ore headphone is, if you jave bad sound system you never going to get good sound. Sure you can use power amp but th as t does not change the bass quality. Only makes it louder and wurst.

OK, flashing went well, but I'm not sure that there are some benefits
There is no on/off, so it's hard to compare from memory
I don't trust it, but maybe I'll test it after a few reviews. There could be any disadvantages. I can't imagine this will make the sound really better...

confirmed too
I tested it now, too and the sound has really more power.
does the improvment apply only to music (speaker/headphones) or is the earpiece/headset quality also improved (call quality) ?
I don't know. The audio (music) isn't clearer only more bass. It's too much, so I remove it again.
How this works without replacing existing system files?
I recorded the sound via audio jack with and without beats audio mod to compare the differences. Audio levels and spectrogram are exactly the same...
I asked me that, too, but I don't know. Maybe it's only louder and so placebo?
It makes difference in headset when play music or video.
Yep, working great for me too
Well if not satisfied, there are other options for sound freaks - DSP Manager from CM is included in DjangoManouche 1.0, works great with (also included) Google Music. There is a free Equalizer app on Market. Even LG stock music player has some decent presets. Choices, choices...
Anyway, respect to fuss132

The original port was by RockoDev. I have edited the OP and put the link to his thread. (RockoDev's zip file can be flashed on ICS too)
I am not sure whether this works or not. Supercurio has stated that it doesnt.
supercurio said:

All it does is strictly no change in audio output.
If you claiming you're improving sound quality while implicitly asking for donations (aka [Donate to me] button) I strongly suggest you to bring some elements supporting your assumptions.
I might add that by distributing random files and libs you're violating several manufacturers copyrights and intellectual property.

Audio is something special.

That's called placebo.
All I'm asking is intellectual honesty in order to not abuse of this many times proven fact.
I also think placebo-mods are affecting negatively everyone's work and also the confidence XDA users have in developers.
The solution is simple: It improves audio? That can be measured then!
If you can't measure it, it means it does nothing.
Me, I measured, Galaxy S II. found it wasn't working. It's not an opinion or a critic. It's a fact.

[MOD] Beats audio For all GB roms!

I am posting this in here just to start discussion on the Beats audio mod ported to all devices by fuss132.
I don't take any credit for this.
What it does:
1.It really improves the sound quality.
2.If you like bass this is perfect as it gives balanced sound and bass.
3.The sound is clearer than before.
4.Effective for headphones than speaker.
How to flash:
Just download the attached zip and flash through CWM.
also if you would like to revert dont forget to backup. There is an uninstaller available though to be on a safe side backup.
CREDITS
fuss132 for making this working on all phones.
P.S.- If i helped in anyway don't feel shy to press the Thank you button.
wow thanks would try it right away
It doesn't make sound better:

thx...i will try it
Placebo effect
Useless...
Inviato con il mio P990 DjangoManouche!
will try it...
can it be ported to CM7 or CM9?
It seems line it's gonna blow my 2x's speakers ...the speakers (even the earpiece) seems to vibrate while listening to music, calls etc..
Is there any patch or something to remove it ?
Sent from my Optimus 2X using XDA App
Maybe this is placebo, too?
I made a backup before trying it and restored my backup, this mod is useless.
If you want the speaker to be louder, install Volume+.
Hallo,
For all GB ROM means that it's okay also for CM7?
Thanks

Yes, on CM too it works good, but your phone speaker will start 'trembling and vibrating'- due to increased audio, make a backup before installing so that you.can get back whenever you want...
Sent from my Optimus 2X using XDA
how do you actually uninstall this mod?? it is messing up my message tone sounds...
Either you have an old cwm backup and restore it, or delete all files the pack added.
I agree with Flix123. If you want more volume then go with Volume+. It even has Beats emulation as one of the equaliser settings.

Hey Ya'll.
Found this and thought it might be heplful to anyone who might take a look at this thread.
This is suitable for the 2x, as writen on the page of course .
Personally I have force close with the sound in general when I flash it, but there is a description to copy/paste files using file explorer, which I did not understand . If someone could despribe that to me I would appreciate .

Voodoo Louder on ICS, Only 3db?

this is the only thing annoying me with the new ICS. I can only boost my voodoo louder up too 3db, before on Gingerbread it was at least 9db. anyone know a fix?
Looking for one as well

9db Isn't every 3db is double the output? My ears are ringing thinking about it. Maybe the Note's audio circuit is not capable of more output and your other phone initially was not pushing out as much.

I guess I'm lucky to have a Tab 7.7 running HC. So I can still use Voodoo Louder on it. I used to use an iPhone 4(S) with a dock-to-line out adapter and a Fiio headphone amp. Voodoo Louder made that unnecessary. I'd hate to go back.

Glad we are not all you... a response from the "respected" dev is what I'm after considering I paid good money for the app like others here. App description in the market has not been changed to highlight the app's gimped features in ICS
Besides, going from 10.5db to a recommended 1.5 in ICS is more than pathetic... I switched to Volume+ but just boggles my mind the lack of support this dev gives
Even when i enable the app and it shows 3db, the slider is only at the Half way mark. It never goes to full 3.
Another thing is that i have not seen any volume increase. Is every one seeing an increase in volume.
@Galaxy Note™…
i too am hoping that like in gb, the db goes as high as 10 because the sound really differs. i used senheisser hd 449 and i can't bring my note and galaxy s at the same time. i have purchased the voodoo sound plus which is compatible only to the original galaxy and the sound really impressed me.
+1... after flashing ics and reinstalling voodoo was sad to see only a +3db volume boost instead of the 10+ with gb... hope a fix/update is available soon...

Nexus 5 Speaker Mod!

So I know I'm very low profile around here, I've never really posted much, sorry for that, I just though people might be interested in this beautiful mod me and my co-worker did to my Nexus 5 to make my speaker volume louder. First I need to say a huge thank you to AdamOutler , you can see full instructions to do this modification (minus the extra touch) over at his thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2529878and also a big thanks to my co-worker and good friend Jake! Now anyways, on to the pictures!
So in the first picture is the hole mod in the speaker, then in the second and third shots you can see the little speaker hole with mesh made for the back cover to let even more sound out of the device, it's nothing special but I'm super pleased with the way it turned out, my volume is much louder now and it looks simple and clean. Again a huge thanks to Jake for the help and idea and AdamOutler for the original mod, go shoot this guy a quick thanks. !

There is some sort of mod or app that you can use once rooted to increase the decibels. I can't vouch for how good sound quality will be once increased since I'm not rooted but you can always test it out.

Yes, look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2532788. You can either flash a zip or change the value manualy in Root Explorer. It improves the sound volume for sure, i`am using it myself.
And many custom kernels have this option to increase volume output (like faux or Franco). Pretty useful imo...

I think the stock surr..mod zip is a plenty fine choice it's lot louder clean crisp
Versus any time I ever flashed the moderate increase mods on a galaxy phone it makes sound crackle and nearly seems like over kill..Not the s6 speaker
