I was messing around with ninja morph and was thinking I wanted to change the loading spinner with a custom gears of war one I made but I can't find where its located at does any one know?

I do not guarantee anything I say, for all I know I could be wrong and cause some Thermonuclear war that Job's promised us... anyways,
I do not believe you are able to change the stock loading spinner because its part of Android it self, I do believe however, you can call your own loading spinner as a animation, the code to do so however eludes me so...
You can use uot kitchen to change the spinner. Just google it

Thanks ill try the uot kitchen when it opens up again

I've attempted to use mm but I know nothing about editing the files- I don't have time to go into what it takes to theme, lol. I changed the battery icon and that's enough for me at the moment.
if you don't know how to use mm, do a search. there are several guides. good luck!

I downloaded it from the market and it says I need box tools how do install that
Sent from my Evil Eris v1.1 using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
tried this as well and no luck. anyone with success wanna share how they did it right and which theme they did it with?
Okay, I'm just throwing this out there, but there is a search feature on the forums.
But, I'll look it up for you so you don't have to do anything.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591329
That thread shows you HOW TO METAMORPH. A thread made by the CREATOR of metamorph.
It's a bit more complicated than just downloading the application. There aren't any current made-for-Eris metamorphs out there (that I've found, anyway). So you can A.) find a metamorph you like and port it over to the Eris, or B.) create your own. That includes editing xml files and .9.pngs - so have fun with that.

I used Uninstaller for Root to backup the framework-res.apk and temporarily bricked my phone because the phone didn't know what to do without it and was able to recover by updating my phone and keep my apps but no root at first. I will attach the framework soon after I remove the bloat again.

services.jar & associated xml files is where the magic has to happen for a "blackbar mod".
I do plan on taking a crack at it for us Zio people. my time to tweak and break stuff is kind of limited, so I'll do what I can, when I can
Any luck?

Be wary of UOT Kitchen. Causes random FCs all over the place for our ROM.
I am working on a custom openzio theme, but it will take some time, as I am learning as I go. Luckily Im a fast learner. o.0

If you need some help I am more than willing to collaborate. I can hit you up on openzio.
Sounds good. I'll be working on it extensively tomorrow (sunday).
An added note on the UOT Kitchen -- Our statusbars are .9 png files, and UOT converts them to standard png's. Im assuming this is causing the force closes (but I havent looked at the any of the xml files yet). Im going to pick it apart tomorrow.
Is there a way to get a Gingerbread style theme or ROM developed for the cricKet Sanyo Zio by Kyocera? I've used Spz0's OpenZio ROM and liked it very much. But now I am looking for a ROM to be developed or a theme to be made to make the notification bar and menu style look like Gingerbread.
Is there anyway to do this?
P.S. I would have posted in the Android Development section but it wouldn't let me.
I can whip one up tonight

Thanks Mattix724!
I got home right now and was wondering if you made the Theme/ROM for the Sanyo Zio to make it look like Gingerbread.
I've been working on decompiling the services.jar to fix an issue with the time not showing on black status bars. Now instead of black on black I have a lovely red time and still can't see incoming notifications on the status bar.

Oh. Well take your time. I'm in no rush.

What exactly do you want to see in this theme? I can make it look as close to gingerbread as possible, but notification buttons like wifi GPS sync and brightness will probably not be possible on the 2.2 framework

I want it to look as close to gingerbread as possible. Im not worried about the notification bar buttons but mostly the icons in the notification bar and the launcher. Thanks for your help.

My Theme for Zio
Mattix,
I have made a theme using UOT Kitchen as you suggested but am having a little bit of a problem.
Everytime I apply a theme the status bar changes to black but the clock still remains black color too. Is there anyway to make it white so I can actually see the time when applying my theme or any themes I make using UOT Kitchen?
Is this variable in framework-res.apk?
Post it anyways ^_^ I use fancy widgets for my time lol

Hello XDA community. I'be been recently searching for a 'Journey' boot animation with the Soundtrack from the game in the background. If someone who might be willing to male one or knows where I can find one that would be most helpful. I'm also looking for a theme with icons based from the game in it as well
Sent from my SCH-I500 using xda premium
JaeKar99 as well as others have posted up "how-tos" on making your own boot animations. I always make my own, as I usually want something plain and simple. You can make your own icons as well, easy to replace the current icon in the apk, with your "custom" icons before you flash the rom.
I'm not good with art programs. I'm lucky I can draw a square in paint lol

There is a tutorial on here somewhere that shows you how to make a boot animation from a YouTube video. Then just find an mp3 that has the music you want and exchange it for the boot audio that is currently deactivated in aokp by default.

I would like to learn what is needed to be changed in a ROM/apps in order to get the blackedout / inverted look. I'm I'm wanting to do this on a cm10.1 based ROM and I know how to use apktool and other just not sure what to edit in the .XML files. I have made changes in colors.XML and drawable.XML but for some reason it does nothing for me.
Have searched and found plenty on theming but none really get in to the .XML part of.
I know there are themes and inverted gapps already out there but would still like to learn how its done.
Any help would be great and I know how to use the thanks button...

The above quote is good for changing the background of the settings list and the background of the setup when first install. If you want to get rid of the grey that is in the menus the more needs to be changed and its all found in framework-res.apk in the res/drawable xhpi folder in the form of .PNG or .9.PNG files and they include BG. Or background in the names menu_background.9.PNG is one for example.
Now onto next change how to change clock color in status bar. Just doing it one at a time sence the info is very hard to fine and not much help on it, will keep updating as I find the answers. Just exploring through files and change stuff to see what happens.
