Pattern Lock Questions

Hey I have a few questions about the pattern lock that android has:
How many attempts do you get before it locks you out completely?
I've read in places that the only way to recover from a lock out is to sign back into your account but in other places they said you need a wipe. Which is it?

It won't lock you out at all, after 5 tries, it will ask you to wait 30sec in between entering the pattern, and thereon after. If you click on forgot pattern, it will ask you to enter in the gmail accont, and will not go back to the pattern.

[Q] Nexus 1 keeps losing my lock PIN

My N1 has decided to not accept my PIN on the unlock screen, after a factory reset and restore it did it again. No pin seems to be an option, but that makes my data unsafe...Please help.

[Q] Encryption and screen lock

I'm trying to understand device encryption. If I encrypt my device, do I need to use an alphanumeric password each time I unlock my phone or only when it powers on? I'd rather use a pattern for regular use but am happy to enter a passcode on startup.

You have to use a PIN code as encryption is tied to the PIN code by default. With root, the boot password and PIN code can be set independently and the unlock PIN code can be replaced by a swipe pattern or nothing at all based on your location (using Xposed and the No Lock Home module for example).

[Q] Screen relocks shortly after unlock

Topic says it all. Basically my phone often (not always) relocks shortly after I unlock it.
1. Turn on screen
2. Enter pin to unlock
3. Home screen shows
4. If I'm fast I can get in about one tap
5. Screen relocks and I have to re-enter the pin again. This time it stays unlocked
Had the issue with both Android 5.0.2 and 5.1.1. Have tried removing all trusted devices and locations from smart lock. Still have the issue. Anyone else experience this?

Question Launched KNOX folder on rooted device :)

Guys, need your help. I tried to find a way of locking applications and occasionally turned on KNOX folder on Rooted (with TWRP/Magisk) S21 Ultra.
Then it started rebooting even though I enter the correct pattern to unlock it.
Plz help to get it back to normal work! Thanks!

Looks like after having used KNOX (SecureFolder) my Unlock screen is now always set to Pattern although I turned it off. If I enter Unlock screen options and try to disable Pattern, it crashes. Is there any civilized way to reset this damn unlock screen & back to phone's normal life?
