i have rooted my galaxy s through odin and i am using darky's rom 10.2, now i have to factory reset my galaxy s, so i wanted to ask that whether is it safe to factory reset my galaxy s from the privacy menu or not???
please help
Yes it's safe, but remember you're gonna lose anythin on your internal sd-card. So make a backup with titanium first of your apps (and data, like the history of whatsapp ).
If you want to get more geeky, you could do a wipe from the Recovery mode too by using the 3 button combination.
To go back to Original stock rom-i9000
To go back to the original stock rom, use the link:

flash through Odin....my recommendation: reinstall the stock firmware using all 3 md5 files: PDA, CSC and PHONE, using gingerbread version 2.3.5....mine worked fine with this....
thnx alot for the help guys
Hi.
I have Checkrom revolution HD v6 on my phone at the moment but i keep getting bootloop issues so i have followed the instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18599602&postcount=3 "Q: I'm getting bootloops what should i do now ?"
I go into the recovery menu but when i try and wipe data/factory reset i keep getting the following message " Error mounting/sdcard/.android secure!
Any advice please?
Flash the rom again from recover ........ if u still getting boot loops then try another ROM......... if all fails then >>>> go to download mode and flash stock firmware with odin....... best of luck
Welcome.
I have the following problem. Note Zrootowałem his Galaxy to version KJ4. Later, with the CWM wanted to install Rocket Rom v7. I did a factory reset wipe / data factory, then the Dalvik cache, then install from sd card (Rocket Rom v7), and finally again factory reset / sd card and reboot the system. I received a Note Galaxy logo and on the phone will not charge. What could be causing this? I did everything according to this guide: How to Install ICS (Team Rocket) on Galaxy Note (and retain apps) - Cursed4Eva - YouTube. I do not know what happened. I ask you for help
Most likely a bad flash. I don't think that's a emmc brick cause RocketRom should be safe to factory reset.
Anyway, follow this guide by dr. Ketan:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
And restore your phone to stock GB via Odin so you can try again.
I got 7.3mb update. But couldn't find any change.everything is same.same brick bug issue there couldn't find changes.can anyone say about its features? ?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA
Already be lost. Please send me an exact instructions what to do. Default I uploaded stock ROM LB1, which is now one of the OLDEST Loading a ROM that is, for example, KL4, later root CWM installs it and how he will go to the ICS is immediately Loading a version LQ3 eg, right? And then, how to upload Rocket Rom v7? But the mess these guides on xda-developers, that they do not know what and how

Hi,
So im having a peculiar problem. I have been running Ultimate ROM V5.1 on my galaxy note GT n7000.
I am not able to change to any other rom from this
While flashing the ROM through CWM, it encounters and error after opening the package and then the installation aborts.
I have tried the following roms
Cyanogen mod (stable release)
Stunner android ver 4.2.2
i have tried re-flashing, full wipe and factory reset. Still getting the same error.
Am i doing something wrong? Please advise.
Thanks
Yes i have faced this problem, flash a non PhilZ kernel with a non PhilZ recovery and then go to recovery (like hydracore kernel) and flash. The PhilZ custom recovery causes some problems for certain ROMs.
I am coming from custom ROM Cynogenmod 11.0. Recently, I had decided to go back to stock ROM.
So, I download both Odin PC and Stock ROM. I then flash Stock ROM using the ODIN PC.
After I done the flashing, the phone reboot and stuck in the Boot Loop. I had tried with different Stock ROM, but that does not help.
Does anyone have solution to the problem I facing now? Thanks in advance. Need your helps urgently.
If you flashed Jelly Bean then just boot into recovery and do a factory reset, if you flashed ICS then first flash a safe kernel (ex. Philz) through Odin and then oerform a factory reset.
