OK, got the Revos Feb.2, kept trying to do the OTA update. 4 hours on the phone with CS & Tech. An hour at the Verizon store. No luck whatsoever. Now, I would like to post here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1337386 but as I need 10 posts to post in Development, I am here.
We are stuck on 2.2.2 Froyo & would like to do the update to Gingerbread, then root (have that down pretty well).
Being as the Multiupload site is inaccessible, I searched & found the LGNPST 1.2 & installed all 5 parts. Already had Drivers installed in anticipation of rooting.
1.The .DLL file I found elsewhere has a .7z extension ( not 7Zip ).
2.My .tot file for V7 Gingerbread must be corrupt, as I cannot extract it at all. (Downloading through Revo Wifi)
Does anyone have better site to download these files?
I feel I would do fine, so long as I could get these files.
Thank you all for any assistance & for all of the work that you have done to help Newb Revo owners like me...

I reposted all this stuff in the Development forum after Megaupload got shut down.

I thank you tremendously !!! I think I remember seeing that before, but in my frenzy of 2 days of sheer frustration, I missed the note about not working on Firefox (which I obviously use). Thankyou Sooooo much & I'll let ya know how I do in the morning.
Ed
Not a problem! There's actually a work around that was found for Firefox (thanks to Cybie). Just right click on the link, then click "save as." That should get the download going.
Sent from my Volted Ice Revo using Tapatalk.
I did it the right click way... Funny, I have seen pages come up like that & never knew why.
Now, when you uploaded it, was the file zipped? In the instruction post, it tells you to extract the file & I cannot seem to. When I compare the bytes, all looks fine. I downloaded it 2 times, just for insurance. Boy was it faster through you, than the fileshare site !!!
Again, thank you soooooo much !!!
Ed
You don't extract the tot file you leave it alone you just need to extract the lgnspt program and install everything then you make that folder to put the dll in and register the dll then follow the instructions throughout the process.

OK, On a Toshiba junker laptop with Pent 3 2.6 Ghz, 1 gig RAM & Win 7 32 bit I ran everything fine with 1 cavet, I had to use Randymandy's DLL install procedure listed here:
If you're having trouble getting the vs910.dll to install and keep getting the "Windows7 RegSvr32 Error 0x80020009" message then try this:
Start (Win Key) > type uac > ENTER
Pull slider down to Never notify > OK
Restart computer
try installing vs910.dll again
just make sure you go back and put the slider where it was after you are done upgrading the software on your phone. This worked for me and I'm running windows 7 64bit.
16 minutes & 43 seconds, I am GINGERBREADED !!!
I want to put out thanks to the information I got here personally:

Thanks, folks !!! I can now Root & Gingervolt !!!!!!
Mods, feel free to move this to the origional GB post if you feel it would do better there.
Again, THANKS !!!!!!!!!
Ed
Rooted in 2 minutes with the Root in Development !!! WOO HO !!!!
Ginvervolt, here I come !!!!
All apps ( including free) are still there, along with contacts !!!
Ed
Well, been trying to get a tethering app to work right. After rooting, even the Verizon hotspot would not work. Tried Barnacle, Wifi tether & Open garden. Tried all the different settings & had it working for about 10 minutes.
Soooo I said what the heck, Gingervolted it & BOY is it fast. Still having issues with hotspots, but got Wifi tether v9 to work right now.... We'll see if it still works after a reset... Let's hope.
Does anyone have a stable hotspot app & settings they know of?
Again, thanks to all...
Ed
Well, I guess I'll just keep trying older versions of Wifi tether... v9 would not work after a reset.....
Ed
OK, got it all working after alot of studying... The problem I was having for an internet connection was the MTU settings of my wifi card in Winduhhz 7. Not sure what it's all about, but it is fully stable. Check out this site for checking & adjustment procedure. I ended up with a final setting of 1428 http://www.richard-slater.co.uk/archives/2009/10/23/change-your-mtu-under-vista-or-windows-7/
So, now the quest is to customize the phone the way I want it...

Great to see I am still helping people lol

UPDATE:
Most users that have flashed this radio are reporting increased download speeds as well as HUSPA upload speeds and better latency/ping times. HOWEVER, several users have reported an increase in the amount of heat dissipated which, combined with run-away apps that are constantly churning data, could cause your phone to get hot.
There have been a lot of questions about inconsistent speed tests. I've even seen some posts claim that they're download speed has gone down. Please use some common sense here and understand that there are many factors that come in to play including SpeedTest, local towers, network congestion, etc.
Also, please be advised that you must use RSD Lite under Windows to flash this radio.
ORIGINAL POST:
All credit goes to NFHimself from whom I got the idea and who helped me work through the kinks.
Attached is a zip file containing 2 separate sbf files. You will want the SBF for the 1.87 baseband radio which is the same one that shipped with the Telstra 1.4.2 update. It should not require a reset as it's the radio only, and I have successfully flashed it to my ATT phone using RSD Lite giving me upload speeds slightly higher than my dl speeds (currently showing just under 2Mb).
I am also providing a radio only sdf of the stock ATT radio that recently shipped so that you can go back if need be.
Keep in mind that while it did work for me, this has not been thoroughly tested and I will not be responsible if decide to use this and you brick your phone.
Enjoy!

This is awesome. Definitely gonna give it a go. Thanks for the hard work.
will we be able to get updates with this radio installed? or will we be required to flash the ATT radio before hand.
OMG!!! YOU ARE A FRIGGIN BOSS.
fyi: was on 1.5.7 with greyblur 2.1
upload speeds reaching 1.7-2.8 mb!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW: after 10 speedtest tests ive been average 700-900 kb. i live in the phoenix area.

For me, I opened RSD Lite and selected the file. It came up on the right hand pane and on line 1 down below. When I clicked on line 1 towards the bottom, the phone info came up and I was able to click Start. Left the phone plugged in as it flashed and rebooted. Came up working fine and everything seems stable thus far including WiFi.
It worked for my rooted/stock att atrix 4g!!!!

Did you unpack the zip 1st??? I unpacked the zip file, left both files on my desktop, then selected the 1.8.7 radio file in RSD lite
Nice, will try when I get home today. Thx!
When I test speed on the computer using speedtest.net and speakeasy.net/speedtest, both start out fast(up to 1Mbps) on Upload speeds, but then drop and won't even complete the Upload test. Anyone else able to replicate this from a PC. I'm tethering.
Opened in desbf and save a new SBF file which RSD was willing to flash.
Download 2759 kbps, Upload 1280 kbps
Sweet!
Do we flash this in RSDMODE?

Hi all,
Well, I just got my Dell Streak 7 wifi this past Friday(9/2/11) By Sunday night I had rooted it to Dj Steve's HoneyStreak 3.2/RC 2.1. (HD7-RC2.1) Every thing is running great. Though the battery life stinks. Im now having troubles with Flash on the system. Ive updated flash to 10.3.186.6 in hopes that an update would fix it. But no go. Like if I go to live.twit.tv, it plays sound but no video.
Now I have downloaded another version called Streakdroid -HD 7 2.0 R2.(which is for wireless) Should I reroot it to the R2 since my Streak is wifi only. or is the RC 2.1 ok? & what can I do to fix Flash ?
Thanks for any help.
The newest build is r4. You can download it here:
http://tabletroms.com/forums/streak...m][r4]-honeystreak-hd7-2-0-release-3-2-a.html
Flash the r2 and then update to the r4. Hopefully the r4 build will sove your problem.
Thanks otnos. That worked.
But now When I connect my streak 7 to my pc.. I get MTP troubles & I cant find how to fix it & my pc shows Streak7 but wont install it & theres no drivers I can find for it...I dont get it.. didnt have these troubles when I was using Honeystreak RC2

Read through this thread to find your answer about the usb issue.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216374
I remember it has something to do with this version of honeycomb does not support usb. Maybe someone who is familiar with this issue can comment.

Try going into mmc and go to devices. Click on the yellow exclamation and update driver. Allow ms to search online for updates . You might need to uninstall old drivers first.
Here is information about mtp.

Ok, First. Let me start by saying. Thank you for all your help guys. Its nice to be on an "active" forum & where others actually help each other.
Now.. Ive done all I can to get this working & nothing.. Ive installed all sorts of drivers.. upgraded to WMP 10 Used Windows update... & STILL the system just wont let me get into my Streak. As per the pic I posted.. Device Manager see the Streak7 & MTP Yet.. I cant install ANY drivers or update them... Oh,also, just to let you all know..Im on Win XP Home w/ SP2. Only thing left ,that I can see,is to go to SP3. Gonna try that & I'll let you all know how that step went.
Thanks again all,
Xpun3414
*Update* Updating to SP3 did not help, nor any other windows updates
Have you install Dell Sync? I think the driver is in the Dell Sync for windows program.

Ok I was having issues with both my computers not picking up the dell streak or not finding the correct drivers. It would actually charge it instead of recognize it as a usb device. Try this:
- Turn off your streak.
- Hold down the volume up and volume down buttons at the same time. While both are still held down plug the streak into a wall outlet or power strip. Let it sit for about 2 minutes.
- Unplug the streak and use the pin hole next to the sd card to power off.
- Plug the streak into the computer once it is powered on and see if anything changes.
- If it still has the yellow question mark next to it try and update the drivers again.
***Side note***My computers are running vista and win. 7 and I don't have an xp computer to try and replicate the issue on. I will work with you to try and get this working though. Let me know the results of this.
Well, I tried all of the posted things guys... sync sucks.. its not even a driver its just software. Last thing to do is to go from R2 to R4.. Though I had R4 in before & had the same troubles. Im at a loss... so,its either I go back to stock or go to Honeystreak RC2 & have no flash or stay with R2/R4 & have no way to connect to my pc.. What to do,what to do.And why the HECK dont Skype work on any of them, even when Skype says it supports the 7- Just a side note, & a rant.. no need to answer that one. GRRrrr

One more thing when you complete this process if you have CWM recovery installed there is a process to get that removed. I would say attempt the first process first though. Let me know if it works. Again the link is here:

Do you have many files to transfer? You can use other methods. I use File Expert, it can transfer file from your computer to the ds7 through wifi.

And the results are in...
..Success.
Ive followed AndroidOVERALL's directions & every thing went smoothly. Im now back @ the stock Dell Streak7 Wifi only rom. And all is well. I can connect to my pc again and see/transfer files to & from. Flash works with no problems. And its not like the last "stock" rom I tried. Which was called a wifi only S7 stock rom. It wasnt.. it was a T-Mobile stock rom. But this one I have now, is the real deal. I had just one little problem when I first rebooted the S7. it keep showing as the internal sdcard was not formatted & had nothing on it... I tried to mount it that didnt work... So I gave it a run for a few minutes & then rebooted. And all was well in Streak land. The system is running very smoothly. Though I do see how it is a bit, slow? laggy? compared to the StreakDroid R2/4 or HoneyStreak RC2.But still runs good. Now if I can figure out how DJ_Steve got a full blown web browser to work as a desktop browser on it Im set
Thanks again to you all for all the great help, tips & seeing me through this. Couldnt have done it with out you all. Thank You
So...Next step.. Reroot ! & see where it goes. Wish me luck

Super boob. I rooted, installed clockwork mod. Made lots of changes and deleted lots of stock files (music widget hanging in my notification bar) I was working then I downloaded "atorrent" just to see if torrents were good for mobile. Now I have no data signal, will not download anything due to insufficient space. I did a factory reset and that was the wrong thing to do!! Got another phone coming tomorrow but I WILL figure a way to fix this! Help would be appreciated tho!!
Ok could you tell us what it does when you turn it on? Does it go into cwm? Does it go into download mode and any other info about whats rong with it now that you did a factory reset?
It boots normally and phone and txt msg work, also wiring works just fine. I am not sure if the atorrent download had anything to do with but its the only thing I did between total normal operation and what I have now.
Factory reset removed titanium and other root tools I had along with everything else. Still have superuser but not sure if still root as there is no way to know and cannot download anything directly. (Wifi, not wiring)
To clarify, It seems like I can download anything except market Apps. I have more more than enough room for files, it will let me dl asphalt 6 because I have to launch the game to do so. U Prolog know that's 300 MB. Plenty of space. Settings, about this phone, status, mobile network state = connecting.... been stuck there for 2 days. Called att and they said possible similar card error. It works just fine in the wife's phone. ( same also rooted)
have you tryed reflashing the kdz with lg flasher tool?
if you dont know how follow these steps.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1491870
Not near a comp I can do that with but I will give a try either later tonight or tomorrow. Hope it works and I will post as soon as I do. Thanks a bundle!
Ya np if that dosent work might wanna talk to dark in the free assistance thread just below this one he knows more about this stuff then me.
the phone lost root. i cant get it to root again. "permission denied" i am getting new thrill tomorrow so i will root and be a bit more carefull. use this one as a practice phone. i really want to make it work. i will tinker with it and if i can get it rooted again i will try the above.
i really appreciate the help in any case!
You dont need root to flash a kdz its just tricking the program into thinking its an update.
ok so i got it fixed be flashing a new rom (cyanogen nightly) works faaassssttttttt!!!! only problem is i cant get market to work. unable to open connection to server error. lookin for a fix to that now. everything else is superb!! this forum is freakin awesome!!

OK, so after a lot of reading and surfing, I finally decided to root my Galaxy Note N7000, using the method described here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uv2oGo1_yTQ and I did prepare all and myself mentally for all the variants of the failure.... except for one...
ok. so I download all the software needed on both my English/British Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium laptop and on a XP Home 32-bit laptop, just in case there are some incompatibilities, I'll have it all covered right??? WRRRRROOOONNNNNGGGG!!!
I put the phone in download mode connect it to pc and want to start Odin (1.85 version), but I get "Odin3.ini 000 000" (except the zeroes were square...) small pop-up screen with "ok" in the middle... So, I think "oh, ok, again asking for permission... GRANTED" and I press it and the screen/window of Odin flashes in the third of a second and disappears... I try again.... Same story... on both laptops.... with kies on and off... installed and uninstalled... SGN N7000 connected and disconnected.... same with the downloaded Odin from zedomax's link and from any other link I could find...
What is the problem???!!! Seriously, have you heard of that????
I don't even get to brick my phone, that is how the Android gods hate me!!!
I can't even start Odin programme... (yes, I did Run as Admin)
what is it?
I tried turning off antivirus and firewall... nothing...
Any ideas?
Try these methods :
Download a fresh Odin, maybe yours is corruptEd.
After the download extract the entire rar directly into a folder and then run Odin from that folder.
I got a similar error on Odin once when I placed the Odin icon on the desktop.it was a long time ago so I don't remember the error but I couldn't run Odin either.
And for Godssake don't use a 64 bit machine, we've already got enough trouble as it is on regular 32s.
i run 64BIT...and ODIN3 v1.85...it works flawlessly...just remember to run it AS ADMINSITRATOR....
I read somewhere that the odin folder should be placed on the root of c: drive. Works flawlessly on my 64bit win7 machine. I've also set it to run as administrator.
please hit thanks if i helped

I bow to you, Masters of Android (or at least Samsdroid)
Hey, guys, you're a golden bunch really!
Turns out the problem wasn't any of the above mentioned meanies, but the fact that I extracted Odin to an Odin folder in My Documents and then copies that file/exe to desktop (I like my start buttons on the "main command frame", which is desktop for me ), and after posting this OP of this thread I went for a cold shower, and an early morning run and thought I'd try the whole thing one more time... This time I didn't put the Odin exe on the desktop, because I expected it to fail again... But, as it turns out, my lack of faith in Odin MADE IT WORK!!!
And, yes, the Note is rooted, and straight away (while luck is still on my side! ) I went for the Galaxy_s unlock and BusyBox apps to sim unlock my phone from the evil claws of UK Vodafone... And it worked as in 1.2.3.-DONE!
Guys, thanks for your effort and time invested in trying to help... I really appreciate it... It is great to know that if one gets stuck there will always be someone who has a solution, or at least will to find it through co-operation...
Now, find some good, useful apps, nice launcher (maybe tweak Touchwiz, if possible), good battery app, and research which ICS custom ROM based on a stable kernel is "da best"...
Glad it worked in the end. Check out paranoid android for a great and safe ics experience (based on cm9)
please hit thanks if i helped
Well, after a TON of work, and unsuccessful attempts at getting this, I finally was able to get signal and working data on my phone. I know some people had had trouble with the process, so I'm going to post my guide here to help you all out.
There are two parts to this tutorial. Only one is needed, however, to get ICS to properly work, so find the one that fits your current predicament AND ONLY USE THAT PART OF THE TUTORIAL.
If this is your first time installing the ICS rom...
Follow the LG flashing tool guide that XBSall has linked in his ICS Rom post. You can also find it at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1244490 . However, when you install the ROM, DO NOT USE THE .FLS FILE HE PROVIDES. Instead, download the v18A baseband and install that one with the .BIN file he provides. You can find the v18A baseband here- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1338383 I believe. After you flash the entire thing, you should have ICS! Easy!
If you have the ICS Rom installed now, but have no signal...
This is a bit more complicated, but still very easy. After I flashed ICS, I was not able to flash things using LGFlashTool like I could in GB. This is how I ended up flashing the baseband to fix my issues.
We need to set up your phone to connect with LGFlashTool first. To do this, use XBSall's restore to GB method, located at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1942836 . You will need the OMAP4BOOT files, but you will need nothing else.
Follow his tutorial up until step 6. When he tells you to insert the battery, insert it AS FAST as you can. I messed up on the timing the first few times. Once I saw a greyscale LG logo, and a few other times it just booted normally. Just try again if this happens. Eventually you will get the screenshot in step 9. DO NOT remove the cable when OMAP4BOOT tells you to, as well.
Follow step 10 and 11 of XBSalls restore tutorial, and then follow step 12. When you set up LGFlashTool for the reflashing, simply select the v18A baseband to flash and then start the process. If done correctly, Port 1 should state READY. Repeat steps 3-9 in his tutorial. It will start the flashing process. Once you get an error, close the program, and remove your phones battery and disconnect it from your computer.
Turn on your phone, and receive signal. PROFIT.
Hope this helps you guys out a bit, and remember to hit thanks if this helped you.
you beat me to it lol I was just about to post steps just like this

still no signal... ill try again... atleast closer to fixing... attached is the error im getting... when i go into About and check the baseband it still has V30
EDIT: When into System Settings > About Phone > Software Information ... it is showing the following information.
Baseband Version: XMM6260
Software Version: LGSU760-V30b-OCT-18-2012
Can anyone help? The guide dosent show you how to install the OMAP4430 drivers, but i found out myself how to do it so whatever. Problem is, now "OMAP4430 USB Device" is dissappearing and reappearing over and over again when i boot with volume up. Can anyone shed some light as to how to fix this?
And my phone isnt bricked, i can turn it on right now and everything.
EDIT: Found the problem, you need to hold VolUp after OMAP4430 pops up. Funny, it says in the guide to let go when it pops up. Fixed my mistake though.

OH MY GOSH. NOW THAT I HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR SCREENSHOT, I NOTICED YOU HAVE THE THING THAT HAD ME STUMPED FOR HOURS.
Follow the second part of my tutorial to the T. If it still doesn't work, maybe I'll make a video or we can go on Teamviewer and I'll try to help you out.

not able to keep OMAP 44xx device connected
Hello everyone,
I'm currently trying to get ICS installer on my rogers P925. I tried many times on two computers (both windows 7 one is 32bits other is 62bits) to flash the bin and fls files you are recommanding but it seems like even if my OMAP 4430 device driver is correctly installed via the program files texas instuments dll it seems it wont stay connected at all and just pop open and closed sometimes when it seems to want, and it makes the flashing procedure impossible to me any ideas?

XBSALL helped me out! It's finally working now! My problem was with the port. He got my phone rooted, changed USB port (I mistakenly was changing the wrong one), installed TWRP, put his ICS cleaned mod version on through TWRP zip install. It's all working now full bars of 3G!
help?
Finally got to flash ICS on phone but it was giving me errors everytime I wasn't using original baseband associated with .bin file. Now, I can't get it to boot in fastboot even using OMAP4boot I don't really understand when I need to insert fast the battery... OMAP4boot doesn't seem to get my phone...
You will always get errors as these are not full kdz files. If you are stuck at lg logo..try pull batt replace then hold vol- and power button til you see a factory reset screen do reset and boot..that made mine boot.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough, but my phone boots now, it's only I had to flash it with the O3D fls file and not the .fls I was supposed to use so I get a working ICS without any network.
Now that i'm trying to complete step 2 to get te right baseband, i can't get the phone to boot in download mode even using OMAP fasboot flash. the software just don't say anything appart from "waiting for phone".
So I was wondering if I was doing anything wrong

1- power, vol+ , 3d button pressed
2- on lg logo release power
3- after 2 seconds approx release 3d button
4- wait for the korean page indicating LG SERVICE and a phone
you should be in it!!
now i'm getting a curious RAM writing error while using this mode on lg flash tool

it's almost the 10th time I follow the guide step by step by step... I think or i'm always doing wrong something or it's something else with my phone... I may have misconfigured one port but i do NEVER NEVER at all in the process see OMAP4430 device in my device manager.. so the little windows tool is not doing anything... maybe if someone wanna teamviewer they can see for themselves what it gives.
Wahoo, ICS + network
finally found that there was the correct driver for my computer in the omap4boot folder and not in everyother one I was installing, flashed with the guide after i found this driver and everything works fine
only thing i'm struggling is to set apns to get 3G any tricks?
Do a Google search for AT&T 4G APN (or whoever our carrier is). You can also create an APN with the word "phone" in the first two blanks, name and APN (I think), and it should give you access to 3G and HSPA. I hit 6.7mbps on Speed Test.
