Hi all,
I just flashed ICS RC 4.2 on my Samsung Galaxy I9000. I noticed that the internet is very slow now. When normaly had 1mb now I only have 150 kb.
Does anybody have the same problem ?

Update the modum, and flash a other (semaphore) kernel.
Sent from my SGS running ICS with the XDA premium app!

No .. I am using v20e with 622 now !
I got a little confused.
The 725 baseband i had from froyo (stock) is different from 725 GB?
I am running topogigi 1.7 (GB) and I did not flash any baseband.

I'm not a specialist but the GB baseband is named 0802 by LG but it seems similar to 0725 Froyo one.
I run an GB MOD with 0802 but on System settings > About Phone it appears at 0725.
its not necessary but topo advised us to flash a gb bb to use his gb rom
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA Premium App
It works anyway, but this phone had too much BB issues (the one in 10b, with ghost calls and sms) I prefer not to risk...
2 minutes and the right BB is flashed, very suggested!
where i cand find the bb on 20e?

All the baseband can be found in [Baseband][P990] Complete Baseband
overview thread in development section
The v20e is not there, but there are the v20c/v20d etc.. and the v20s (725 and 512 don't give any problem most of the time)
So i'm sure you will find what you need
Hello.
I was running Semaphore with JVT. Now I'm on Hacksungs ICS builds it says it's using JVK? Is this correct? And should I flash JVT back?
Kind regards

It means that you are using JVK baseband (modem), it's default modem on hacksungs ics. If you want to flash different modem, go to siky_dude's cm7 modem thread. If your signal and battery life is good, there's no need to flash another modem.

Thank you for clarifying that. I will leave it be then. Much appreciated and thanks left.
I installed CM9 Version 16 with the Semaphore ICS 0.8.1 kernel. Its running good but i noticed that my baseband version is still on i9000XXJVU. Is this a problem?
Is this making a impact on my performance? Can i fix it so i'm running on the baseband of ICS?
Baseband version is the modem / phone that you use whichever you prefer to use whatever modem and you adjust to your country ...
to download modem-CM7-miui and cm9 brought it ..

Sorry bad english...
Hi, i was going to update my SGS to firmware 2.3.6 xxjw4 from 2.3.5 xxjvt (via kies) and was wondering if the semaphore jvt_1.9.1 kernel would be ok or is there a better or specific one?? Thx
I flashed 2.3.6 with the latest semaphore kernel(2.5) and it went well.you should be okay
Well yeah it would work, but I don't see why you'd stick to gingerbread or any stock rom while you can try custom ICS Rom ... my SGS is rocking one of those now and it's totally great
Thx
Updated it and works well...but now in the process of installing ICS so thx for the help
What is the best kernel for stock 2.3.5 XXJVS?
I maybe install semaphore but i'm not sure is it compatible with my modem
or does it matter which modem do i have?
Semaphore 2.5 will work well
Sent using TCP/IP
does it matter which modem do i have?
it doesn't matter for the kernel which modem you use.
but there could be some changes in the 3g net speed and reception etc.
if it works, dont try to fix it...
