I was trying to flash a new kernel, and so i wiped the 2 caches and now im stuck on the Clockwork Recovery Screen. I try rebooting, and all it does is just go back to the Recovery screen. Please help, i want to use my nook color again.
Do you have previously created backup on your SD card ?
If so just restore.
Unfortunatly, i didnt. I just got it a couple days ago and am brand new to all these mods.
me too
This just happened to me as well. I even had a backup image and restored, but it would still loop. I used the following zip which removes clockwork recovery (thanks to the OP that originally posted this) and it then it worked.
Give it a shot
OMG, I LOVE YOU! No really, thank you so much!!! It works perfect!

I think this is beginning of beautiful relationship
Some additional info that may be relevant or not...
Some users have reported that after clearing the dalvik cache in CWR (as part of the process to flash a custom kernel), the screen locks up and they are unable to return to the main recovery screen.
This was resolved by 1) hook up your nook to the wall charger, 2) hold the power button which will force a reboot, 3) after your nook reboots to its normal screen, restart the kernel flash procedure from the beginning, 4) after you clear the dalvik cache, do not touch anything for at least 30 seconds
After step 4, CWR usually doesn't lock up and you should be able to navigate back to the main recovery screen to finish the kernel flash process. For some reason or another, the nook just needs a little time after clearing the dalvik cache before you can press any buttons.

I have had the same issue as the OP using ROM Manager to install 3.0.0.5 on 1.1.0 using Auto-Nooter 3.0.0. I was able to use the quoted method to break out (for the record I did so before reading this post ). However, I ran into the problem again after a full reroot and am still looking for a permanent solution to the problem.

Thanx a million, worked like a charm.
Thanks... But one other question...
Thanks for this got me out of the CWR bootloop, but now I'm stuck on the android splash screen.
UPDATE: Just tried to start all over and now it got me a bit further, but to a black screen with a white banner up top that says "Android System"...
Another noob question, sorry. Will this also restore the stock BN recovery? Regardless, thanks.

I found a work around. Open cwr..flash recovery, exit recovery, reboot from quick boot . Once rebooted go back to cwr flash recovery, reboot into recovery, clear cache flash zip..reboot. This has worked numerous times for me.

This is assuming that CWR is on internal memory.. if you are booting CWR from SD.. you need to take out the SD card then boot up.
Hello XDA.
Being a tech illiterate noob, I rooted and tried to install the latest nightly build from cyanogenmod on my Optimus 2x. I gave clockworkmod superuser rights, booted in recovery mode and went on with the install.
Everything went fine (I think) until the phone rebooted. When it started, as usual, the LG logo is shown. Normally another LG logo comes up after the first one, only with an purple animation behind it.
When this comes up, it completely freezes at the very first frame of the animation. I tried waiting, I left my phone for over an hour, but nothing changed.
As previously stated, I am pretty tech illiterate, so of course I didn't make a copy of the original rom.
Now I can boot into something called Android system recovery <3e>, which says:
"Android system recovery <3e>
Android system recovery utility
reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
__________________________
Formatting DATA:...
Formatting CACHE:...
Formatting MISC:...
"
And yes, of course I tried selecting that option, but neither of the keys work. The volume keys work as up and down keys, and the home button shows/hides the options.
I tried downloading the original rom from the giant thread of stock roms, but if you try clicking either of the links, you will see that they are broken.
HELP!
Have you tried the power button yet? Because the power button allows you to select things.
From there wipe everything (data, cache, dalvik) and make a fresh install of cm.

Some of the links there are broken, so I can't manage to complete the tutorial.
Also, I am very sorry, but I do not understand what you mean by that last part.
Let's see, you rooted, installed ROM Manager and Clockworkmod Recovery from within ROM Manager, rebooted and from Clockworkmod Recovery (Black Screen with Blue letters, lets you wipe and install zips from SD Card), you flashed the ROM, is that correct?
Can you boot into Recovery by holding the Power + Volume Down buttons? (hold for about 20 secs, until you get to the second LG screen)
If you can get to the recovery mode, try flashing another ROM.

You sir are correct!
I manage to start the phone as you describe, by holding down those two buttons I enter "Android System recovery <3e>", and can choose between the options as I described. HOWEVER, I can't select either of them, trying all the possible buttons (even combinations).
Update: I tried following this guide, but with no luck; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327599
Good
If you are in Clockworkmod, then you can browse through the menus using volume up/down to move up/down and press the search button (the magnifying glass) to accept or select an option.
I have a Optimus 2X Stockrom, i can upload the rom when i come home (you have to wait about 6 hours sorry ) Then flash the rom in cwm

The Europe Open could be what I'm looking for, thanks a lot! It's really hard to come by apparently.
Flashing it in CWM wont be possible though. Perhaps through PC software?
I will upload the Europe Open when i'm back from school.
You can flash the rom ether with cwm or with smartflash.
If you don't know how to flash it with smartflash i can explain it to you

So I was in CM 10 and I want to install Modern Combat 4 with 1GB of data. SO, I have to do a swap first because oir internal storage is only 0.90 GB (CMIIW). After I edit the vold.ftab file and then I reboot the phone. But, it won't go to home screen. The only thing I can see is the SAMSUNG LOGO and the Galaxy Mini 2 logo. I think by reinstall CM10 via recovery would fix it. The problem is it won't go to recovery. When I trying to press Power + Up + Down + Menu, it do nothing. It even won't boot up
I have installed STOCKROM via Odin. But I still got a bootloop. Maybe cause the /system of CM10 is still inside.

regarding the game youre trying to install.. you dnt have to edit the vold.fstab.. just use the "directory bind" app.. made by a member of xda developers.. i forgot his name..
do a manual binding.. and you can play games regardless of the data size.. as long as you have a big ext_sd storage
i can play need for speed most wanted HD which has 1.8gb of data.. and it runs faster than sd card swap.

vol- + turn on (like if you want to go to Download mode)
now home, vol- and fast vol+

Just Go into Download mode, Flash a STOCK ROM, if you use TWRP previously, install CWM, and vice versa. WIPE DATA.
just a rule ALWAYS WIPE DATA WHEN FLASHING CM ROM FROM STOCK

Yes, it's safe but I advice you to wipe everything before you go stock.
Flash one of philz's kernels for JB(latest I guess), reboot recovery and then wipe everything. My advice is to wipe cache, system, data, preload, dalvik and even emmc. You will ofcourse lose everything on internal card. After that do a full wipe/factory reset(the one which says install new rom).
Then reboot to download mode, press up and flash stock JB firmware via PC Odin just like in the link.
I followed the procedure in the link and its tuck after samsung logo..just keeps reloading again ad again samsung logo..

Ok, great. Now you will wipe everything.
Go to mount and storage and:
-format cache
-format system
-format data
-format preload
-format emmc(it will delete your entire internal storage, I do it to really delete everytihng, you don't have to do it if you have important data but I advice it)
Then go back and go advanced:
-wipe dalvik
Then go to wipe/factory reset and select the second one(Install new ROM - this will again format everything).
Get back when you're done.
Yes done that ..what to do next
AnjniG said:

Now go to download mode. You can reboot to download somewhere in the menu. Maybe under advanced, or under Philz settings, just find reboot to download.
When it boots, press up and hook up the phone to your computer.
Run PC Odin and you should see a yellow coloured window that says that device is detected.
Now under PDA select your stock ROM md file. Check "Auto reboot" and "F. Reset time" and nothing else.
After all is setup, click Start and wait to complete.
I am doing that.. just a question was that the boot loop issue of stock ROM?
done with odin device is reloading.
Yes it started after taking a bit long time..
I am configuring it now..
I have few questions about it..
Is my device still rooted? If yes how to unroot it.
Is philz recovery still present?
everytime I flash a ROM I will have to wipe everything?

You are not rooted anymore and you have a stock recovery, everything is stock. You don't have to wipe everything when you flash a new
ROM, but it is very adviced, also it depends on the ROM you are flashing.
The bootloop probaly occured becouse you were coming from an AOSP based ROM and probably didn't wipe anything.

Yes, next time you should backup your important data and always wipe everything. That's the most reliable way.
