DUUUDE...... you don't use the "zip" you EXTRACT THE "ZIP" TO THE DESKTOP AND USE THE FILES INSIDE.
COMPLETE BREAKDOWN
When "flashme.zip" is finished download do these thing in this order
Click the zip and put EVERYTHING that is inside on the DESKTOP
When that is done
Open RSD Lite
Click the ... at the top
In the window that pops up go to the DESKTOP if it isn't already on it
Find "default_flash_targa.xml" and select it
Put your phone in AP FlashBoot Mode
(How To)
Power Down Phone
Hold Volume Down Button And Hold Power Button For 2 Sec
Let Go
(Updated Drivers if you don't have them.)
Click Start and LET IT RUN UNTIL IT SAYS FINISHED OR YOU'LL HAVE TO DO IT ALL OVER
Go make some coffee

Hey Bro, Found This Instructions!
You think they Right?
Noob guide:
ok. We'll approach this like there is nothing installed on your pc.
1.Open the moto-tools folder and install the 5.2.1 drivers. (32 or 64) depending on your pc........In the 6th zip
2. I turn off wi-fi on my pc now. (so drivers won't auto update-paranoia probably) Then i plug my phone into the pc and toggle through all usb modes to install all the drivers.
3. Install rsd lite 5.5 from moto-tools........In the 6th zip
4. unzip the flashme zip to a folder on your desktop
5. Open rsd lite (some people have more success running it as admin. )and press the |…| box next to the search bar. Browse to the folder you extracted everything to on your desktop.
6. select the default_targa_flash_xml file but don't start yet.
7. power down your device.
8. Hold both volume buttons while pressing power
9. use down volume to toggle to ap fastboot and press volume up to select.
10. run the xml file.
11. pray like hell

My problem is actually a bit worse. Well, maybe. I'm stuck in the, "phone ! pc" loop. For other phones, you can just remove the battery, and then press the three buttons, but for the tab, since the battery can't be removed, I have no idea how to fix it.
You can try this, though: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=939360
Here's another thread that may help you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=888071
1. Go to http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-p1000.htm and download the firmware for your device. (you must register first)
2 download the flashing guide and make sure you follow all the steps (without the part to remove the battery) http://www.samfirmware.com/SVC Android/P1000 Flashguide.pdf

Thanks everyone for help...will try all options later tomorrow and post results

i have the solution on your problem igot that phone and pc icon...
all u have to do is flash the file
*open odin then connect your tab
*click repartition
*click pit then select the file u downloaded
*then click start then that's it just wait for it to pass then it'll now boot
the phone ! pc icon is also download mode so u wont have to do the download mode just connect it to you computer and make sure odin detects your tab
hope it will work for you sorry for the bad instruction
Tried your solution didnt work
Mine didn't work with Odin too. It worked with Heimdall instead.
1. First, I downloaded ROTO JMI from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=939360
2. Press the power + volume down button. It'll still have the phone ! PC icon, but it will already trigger itself to go to download mode.
3. Unzip and then extract the tar from the ROTO JMI.
4. Using heimdall, put everything inside the extracted file to its appropriate filed. You won't need the moveend.
5. Flash. Do NOT remove your tab.
6. It'll auto-reboot
Very busy at the moment, really appreciate your help will try your solution later and post results

When you unzip a compressed file, you will see a number of files inside like cahce, factory data, etc. Just put them in the corresponding field in Heimdall. As for the zImage file, put it under the image field.
Edit: @andrew - mine was in the logo for like 5 minutes. Even up to now it still takes around the same time to boot.

I'll give it a try, i'm on the leaked OTA tho if that is ok. Your just gonna have to tell me how to get the file to you. My battery is only at 20% right now so i'm going to let it charge first.
Last time I checked it's a bit of a no-no to share nandroids, they are phone specific. Chance are if the SBF didn't help you, then a nandroid won't either.
Have you tried Fastboot?

I know in the last page(s) there's a new mirror
If you still need another option use this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1255198&page=12
go to post #117 for a direct dropbox download. Install rsd lite V.5.4.4, unzip file into a folder, then boot phone into ap fastboot (power + volume down), then plug into computer and wait until RSD recognizes it, then press [...] and go to folder that you unzipped the file into and select the xml file, then hit start to flash it and you'll be back to the stock 5.6.890 update.
for me though, once I flashed the file, i had to unplug my phone and immediately boot into recovery, do a data/factory reset, then reboot the phone and it booted up perfectly. then just install clockworkmod recovery and happy flashing! (if thats what you usually do. lol.)
you can also use this any time you accidentally brick your phone
in the last page of first post redsock added a mirror
the very last comment is another mirror from me
i paste it Here!
http://bit.ly/D3-SBF
i used 7ZIP to compress and split the file
remember to NOT update from the leaks
I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR THAT. I FOUND IT OVER THE DROID 4 FORUM AND BRING IT HERE FOR THE ONES WHO MAY NEED IT.
IT IS SAID TO BE WORKING GREAT BUT DON'T HOLD ME RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR DEVICE. WELL IF YOU ALREADY BRICKED IT, WHAT WHAT'S WORST CAN YOU DO TO IT???

True that but you made easier to find and broke it down Barney style for slow noob like myself. The whole developer team fulfilled my prayer but man you made my day
So, is there any way now that I can brick my phone into an unsalvageable mess short of physical damage? That's the situation I had with my OG droid with sbf files. I'm still not completely sure this the case with a locked bootloader. If it is, I'm looking so forward to tinkering with my phone again, as I have shown restraint since there was no way to unbrick my phone.
That should solve for all the bricking issues with the Droid 4
The restoring to stock just won't work for me at all... I'm about ready to give up.
First off thanks for the post.
I have a quick question. My system version is 6.93.215 instead of 6.13.215. Does anyone know why? Does it really matter?

That's really strange. I've never seen 6.93.215 anywhere...and Googling it only brings up your post. I would imagine you shouldn't have a problem flashing 6.13.219 but I'd try and determine how you got that system version first, just to be safe.

I think the only way to really screw it up (someone correct me if I'm wrong), is the same way you could really screw the OG Droid up, by interrupting the flash procedure during RSDLite.
With the locked bootloader, we should be even safer (I think) than with the OG Droid. Although I never tried this on the OG Droid, on the Kindle Fire you can replace the bootloader. If you hose that, pretty sure it is game over... Don't think this is possible on the D4, since it needs to be signed...

Just read something about some Razr owners bricking their phone trying to go back to stock using RSDLite after flashing a leaked ICS build. Not sure what the leak could have done to mess that up but just FYI.

It's not like the D3 you could restore back to stock without rsdlite. When I flashed mine I didn't get the msg saying "process completed".
If your phone keeps bootlooping after flashing it to stock with the 6.13.219 via rsdlite v 5.7
You can try tne following. Works like a charm for me
1-unplug the phone from the pc
2-Hold down the power button + volume down to reboot onto recovery,
Select Recovery from the list.
3-when the screen with the android and the exclamation mark comes up press both volume buttons to get onto the recovery options.
4-Wipe data and cache and then select "reboot system".
Then you should be good to go.

Good to know buddy
Hey guys,
I just recently got a refurb Droid 3 after my old one had the backlight go out, I hand't had a chance to bootstrap it and put ICS on it. But I was able to get it rooted. I restarted my phone today and ever since it has been stuck at the M logo screen and I've tried everything I can find to remedy this.
I updated this morning to the most recent OTA update (5.7.906 I believe) and then rooted it.
To fix the issue I've tried a few different things. I tried Pete's SBF to 5.7.890 but I was getting an error about the cbt.bin file. I found that with the recent changed to 5.7.906 you aren't able to directly flash over it to go back to 5.7.890. I then found another post on here which had a script to go back to 5.7.890 from 5.7.906. I ran that and still had the same result.
Any other ideas or anything that I am missing?
I can get into fastboot, I've been using the scripts with moto-fastboot. Normal boot is just leaving me at the M logo, booting into recovery yields the same result.
Any help would be appreciated since I have no clue what else I can do at this point...

I don't have a BT Tools selection. I do have BP Tools though. I selected it and it just sits there on the M logo as well...
I've tried a few of Pete's scripts with no luck so far (worked on the old Droid 3 when I put it back to stock before shipping it back).

Your 1 Click SBF ran fine and completed without errors but I'm still getting the same result, stuck at M logo.
Is there something I could be missing which is making it not boot that most SBFs don't include? That's the only thing I can think of at this point.

I'm fairly certain that could work, if I could ever get into the Stock recovery....I'm not able to boot into anything. Going to try a few other things, if nothing else works I'll just take it in and see if I can get yet another warranty replacement.
Thanks for the responses, if you have any other ideas just let me know.
I think the main thing that needs to be addressed is that I need to be able to get into recovery and then I will be set to fix it. Right now it just sits at the M logo for Recovery (and any other options from the boot menu).
