Sensaton XL with Beats Solo
Hello mate...I went through the same thing for about a week when trying to find mine (which I got from o2 store on Fleet Street, yay! ) Anyway...
Option1. Go to your local o2 store and ask them to search regional stores to see if any of them have stock left. They checked about 4 or 5 stores near my place of work and home, only the Fleet Street store had one they were happy to part with. Most of the stores that have stock left are keeping 'em for staff, t0$$er$.
Option 2. Google it - buymobilephones.net/mobile-phones/HTC/HTC-Sensation-XL-Free-Beats-Solo-HD-Headphones
Hopefully that will answer your question!
Thanks!

Why on earth nexus one is more expensive than desire??
For me, in the US, the desire WAS more expensive, since it was not subsidized. Now it can be, and it's 1/3 the price. Every smart phone is going to be in the $500-$600 range at full price. I see the Nexus One's pricetag of $571 (i think thats what it was when I got it) being reasonable, since I'm buying it off contract. The Desire's pricetag was more since I was forced to buy it from a random website. If I was lucky I would be spending $600.
I guess nexus one need to be more at price tag compare to htc desire cos google put more effort on develop software n hardware pick choose but later those htc just take all the credit n copycat the google ideas into other htc phone include the stupid desire. I never be a fan of htc phone cos they are from china company and sell their phone more expensive. I buy nexus one bcos of google n hate the htc logo on that phone. Why google choose stupid htc to manucfacture their google phone.

i checked the price in most of the sellers, it's Between 60$-100$ difference...!
Come on HTC is VERyVEry GooD, Why dO U hAtE HTC So mUcH..?
Another question, do u prefer trackball one (in nexus) to optical one (in desire), Why?
I thought HTC was a US Company? The build quality of HTC phones are usually very good. Plus both the Nexus One and Desire are built by HTC.
The reason why the Nexus one is so expensive now is that you CAN'T buy it anymore from google. So if anyone has a new Nexus One... it will go for a pretty penny. The Nexus One is so desired (pun intended) because of the first hand google support that we recieve.
We've had an Official Froyo rom for months where every other phone is just starting to roll out soon. This will be the same with Gingerbread as well... where MOST phones today, if any, will ever see Gingerbread officially.
The Desire, like other phones, will only get hack n' slash Gingerbread roms.

HTC made the Desire and the Nexus One. Google only produced the software.
Officially HTC announced plans for a 1Ghz 2.1 device with 576 RAM before they started producing the Nexus One for Google.

HTC are a Taiwanese company.
If you put High Technology Corporation into Wikipedia or Google you will find their true roots!
It's more expensive because it has that fancy audio chip with dual mic noise cancellation that Desire doesn't have.
N1 is more expensive cos its the king
Also, the N1 is a Developers device which gives it many more options...
Fancy Audio Chip, What's it for ??
Do u prefer nexus one to desire with 75$ cost more, Or u Choose desire..?
:-( my sensation xl finally arrived and first thing I tried to do ended up failing!! I tried copying over my stuff from my older phone through bluetooth, but my bluetooth refuses to switch on :-(
Ive tried everything...... hard reset/ sim out/ battery out and nothing. I called Tmobile who told me to send it back and they will send another when they have enough stock. So all in all its not been a great experience so far with this expensive new phone!! I recommend everyone here try their bluetooth out to see if it turns on
Thats a shame that, luckily mine is working... do you have any details on if there has been a bad batch or anything? (from tmobile)
No Tmobile were not all that helpful on the phone, I spoke to technical support hoping they would try something out to get it to work, but they just said to send it back and they'll send a replacement when stock is available. I always seem to get bad luck with things like this lol.... oh well I hope they send out a replacement pronto
Sorry to hear that mine has everything working on it lucky me cause I bought it on Canada and they sent it all the way to south America Ecuador

are you sure? i doubt something as small as bluetooth would be a problem. when sending stuff from the other phone did you make your sensation descoverible? was they paired correctly?
It does not surprises me. Some Hardware failure can happen even for new phones. My SXL thankfully works fine so far but Incredible S i have sent back already twice. First time USB socket stop work after 32 days (unlucky, because in 30 day period i can easy change it in store)) and second power button stop work. Guys HTC is not so bad, other manufacturers got lot off problems as well.
P.s. You should ask for change instantly or cancel contract. You must have the right to do that.
Nice!
Mine works perfect!
I saw an ad last night (American Idol) for a Beatbox Portable speaker. They were using a Vivid to send music to the speaker. I assumed that the ad was from AT&T, but as of this morning, the Beatbox Portable does not appear on their website.
I believe I saw that the coming ICS upgrade will contain the Beats software. So, if they are promoting the Vivid-Beatbox combination, does that mean that the "official" ICS upgrade will be coming soon? Or just that they will soon be selling Vivids with the Beats software (and the ICS upgrade)?
I believe the update is bringing beats along with sense 3.6...I work for att and I have not recvd any info on the beats beatbox...looks cool and I would buy it...but waiting on info.

Here it is. Yes Sense 3.6 does have Beats Audio built in.
The only problem is they cost $400!
This is weird, I went on AT&T's website yesterday and saw an ad for that boombox and clicked on it to check it out. Had a whole bunch of information. But now I can no longer seem to find it.
I wonder if att is going to officially roll out ics with this speaker at the same time to bring attention to both.

That was my main question at the start of the thread. I was hoping someone with AT&T might chime in.
IF I did spend $400 for the Beatbox, I would be more likely to use my iPod Classic with it. I can put a LOT more music on the iPod than I can on the Vivid.

Seems beatbox portables have been scarce. And is a bit pricy for it's capabilities. Although sound is probably pretty decent.
the tuneboxpc over on the kickstarter.com website looks interesting. (newbie, can't post links yet). It is linux based so should be easy to modify. Seems to be able to work with any web enabled devices. Cheaper than the beatbox, but requires a form of speaker like stereo or plugin speakers....etc.
Long time since I was in the HTC section!
Thinking of ordering one when I get paid next week, I've watched the unboxings on the YouTube and there is this one thing I'm really itching to find out! The headphones that are bundled, the ones with the red buds, are they cheap & nasty usual HTC headphones, are they upgraded HTC headphones to have bass and actual mid-tones, or at they Beats Headphones?
I'm in the UK personally and although Clove announced a delay, I was just wondering what is the actual release date for the One? There's nothing on HTC website about the release date, though you can pre-order one direct from them, which I think is abysmal.
Furthermore, I'm on EE 4G in the UK will an unlocked One straight from HTC or any other retailer work straight away when I insert my SIM? That ones kinda the deal breaker because I was watching a video on YouTube and all the reviews in the US were saying 'and we can't test the LTE as this is the European Model' and I know the frequencies are different blah blah blah, but I just wanted to double check I know the device is order-able from EE on a new contract, but I didn't know if that was an EE 'specific' device.
Cheers guys!
I haven't tried the bundled headphones that came with mine (i got Beats Buds free ), but no, they are not Beats buds, they appear to be just the standard HTC ones with red tips.
If you buy an unlocked (sim free) version over here then your EE sim will work straight away.

Excelletente! I have Apple EarPods anyway, which for the record are absolutely fantastic I've had Beats Headphones before and they blow Beat's out of the water for a much lower price! Thanks for the fast reply.

No problemo.
I've never had, or used any decent headphones...(most will probably say i still haven't :laugh, but i like the bass with the Beats, i'm no audiophile but i like the sound of them. Maybe it's my mis spent latter teenage years in clubs standing next to speakers that blew your head off, but i like them and am happy with them.
Let me start off by saying that I'm really enjoying my HTC one, it's great and phenomenal. I'm hoping HTC will make a great comeback with this phone, but here's a question: What would they name their next phone? Maybe they'll just go with HTC Two, but that sounds pretty silly. Hopefully they won't take a step back either to last year's models.
"It takes "two" to have a good time."
Future slogan

Well... First they released HTC One this year then they released HTC First(Facebook phone) I won't be shocked if the next phone they release would be HTC Uno
