Chrome Browser on Rooted Revolution? - LG Revolution

So with Chrome available on the Galaxy Nexus, is it possible to get Chrome on Rooted devices like our Revolution?
It doesn't show up in the market.

It is not ever going to be available in the state it is now. It is not built for our processor.

Got a tablet for Xmas, someone want it?

First off, I apologize if soliciting is tacky, but...
I got a Coby Kyros 7016 for Christmas but I'm not too interested in it and thought i'd offer it to my fellow revo-ites first. I've rooted it and got CWM running on it, original packaging. Make an offer?

No thanks. I got a crappy Coby Kyros 7012. Worst excuse for a tablet I've ever seen.

It's actually not a bad tablet based on the general reviews, but the biggest problem for many will be that resistive touch screen (I couldn't handle that personally).

I can't even play games on mine. Its too laggy even for Angry Birds. Can only connect to wifi. Its actually worse than my laptop which is just an Acer Netbook with 1gb of RAM.

If I was to buy a tablet right this minute, it'd probably be a TF201; however, I'd like to see what MS brings to the table. Due to the nature of my work, no tablets really do me any good. I get to carry around my nice big laptop with me.

I am under the impression it is the one that's hacked to work on any ICS device, so no go for me.
Well I thought this works for gingerbread no go either for me
Sent from my VS920 4G using xda premium
I got it to load ( pushed it to /system/app ) but it won't load any web pages, just gives me a blank screen.
Sent from my Bionic using Tapatalk 2
I don't understand what's 'hacked' about this
There is no way for Chrome to work on our device. No ICS kernel = no hardware acceleration.

Did anyone actually update to V9

I'm wondering if anyone updated to see if anything was improved.
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
I've been on V9 for a couple days rooted, decrapped, debinged and deodexed. I haven't really noticed any improvement
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
Yeah I wasn't going to root anyways. Gingervolt 1.1 marked the end of the road for the Revo.

My revo is on broken out 1.1 with blitz and supercharged . I am lucky that I never really had any issues with my phone. V8 update & MT just made it a ton better. Battery life is great with practically no lag. So for now, I will let it be and play with my tf300. Hopefully an unlocked bootloader is near.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda premium
I hope so. but im curious to update to v9 trying the OTA rootkeeper app and then just downgrade back to V8
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using XDA Premium HD app
I was surprised how easy it was to keep root with OTA rootkeeper on the pad.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda premium
You can root the pad with an app. Too easy. If I can get it to work I was thinking of hitting up MT on how to overclock.
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
Would that be possible just using the blob? Even though the bootloader is locked?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda premium
There's only one way to find out
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
Does any one know of a tot for v9 has been posted anywhere? Been having an issue with my phone never receiving any updates since v4 so I have tot flashed throughout all other versions (currently on v8 )
Sent from my Broken Out 1.1 Thunderbolted Revolution using XDA
The revo bootloader is not locked and never has been.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Updated to v9 and rooted. I have not noticed any difference at all but I did not have any issues with stock to begin with it was the custom ROMs that always gave me issues.

Spectrum/Lucid getting ICS....any hope for the Revo?

http://news.verizonwireless.com/news/2012/10/lg-lucid-android-ice-cream-sandwich.html
I wonder if this will be of any use to PG in getting ICS up and running on the Revo?
ICS for the Revolution... I can't see that happening at all. Definitely not buying an LG phone when my upgrade comes around.
Sent from my VS910 (B.O. 2.0.1) 4G using xda app-developers app
Honestly I don't worry about it or think much of it happening. Just wondered if there may be anything of use from the spectrum/lucid ICS update.
Sent from my Transformer Pad TF300T using xda premium
Yep, it's looking like b.o is it for us (unless pg pulls of the incredible). No more LG for me either now

I been thinkin bout the gs3 myself or the note2
Sent from my SGH-T679 using xda app-developers app
I also have a Nexus 7 8GB which is tethered to the SG E4G when not at work or home. The SG E4G is 2 servers-in-one (router and file server)
SG E4G + 32GB microSD --> wifi tether app --> Samba file share app = N7 with many HD movies (avi, mkv, mp4, etc.) + pictures/videos taken from the SG E4G camera + centralized locations of files (PDF's, docs, etc.)
The wifi tether app makes a consistent (192.168.43.1) IP address location for the Samba file server, that provides an easy 1-click bookmark on the N7 file manager. The wifi-tether/samba combo also works for any laptop client (windows, linux, etc.)
This connection is fast enough to handle live-streaming a 3+GB .mkv file to the N7 Our phone is pretty awesome especially with a tablet to back it up for the heavy lifting and screen-size needs
