Hard to help with so less infos. I have used many different cm7 version (tj style, psyke, squad, mebitek) and never had such problem.
Have you got an backup that you can restore?
Have you overclocked your mini?
Which cm7 version are you using at the moment?

this happened to me before too, and i found out that this was because my ext4 partition was corrupted. have you partitioned your sd card and are you using s2e or a2sdgui, or any other apps to sd app or script? if yes, then i think your case is the same as mine.

if what @aprizND told you still won't work, then i think the only way to avoid this from happening again is to do a new and clean flash of your rom. wipe data/reset, wipe cache before you flash your rom. then either use s2e or ungaze script. of you use ungaze though, there is a chance that your mini would boot a bit slower, but you will never lose apps again

I'm having an issue installing apps to my nexus one. I can download them from the market but when they try to install it just says Installing... and stays there.
This started happening after I installed cyanogen 6.1 so I wiped and installed rodriguezstyles mod to see if cyanogen was the issue but now rodriguezstyles mod is also causing this.
Makes me come to the conclusion that the mod isn't the issue. Could anyone assist me with this please?

I'm having the very same issue. I reverted back to stock 2.2 but everything still hangs on install.
Has reverting to stock solved the problem for you? Have you found any other solutions? Or an Idea on what it could be.
I've seen a number of solutions, so I'll give you the ones that seem to work best:
1 - Try signing into Google Talk
or
2 - Try unmounting SD card, before installing (if updating, make sure app is installed on phone).
or
3 - Try deleting .android_secure folder from SD card, and rebooting...

I tried flashing back to stock image but that didn't work for me. After that I tried what I should have done the first time which was restore an old backup from cm6.0. That did the trick for me, no problems since.

I figured we needed a thread to discuss the BootManager app.
First, big thumbs up to GFlam & Conap for this app! I used Conap's CELEB CM Roms on the Eris for a long time.
Now:
They have a User Manual on their site.
What does it do? You keep your rom on the phone, and you can add up to 4 more on your SD card. You use the app's menu to select which one you want to boot into next.
What is it? it is an apk you can get from the market. It lives on your phone. It doesn't mess with Clockwork and such.
What's the catch? There is something you have to pay attention to...It requires a connection to the market to verify it's authenticity. So, whenever you add a new rom, you need to connect it to the market...the trick: you need to flash gapps right after you flash a rom before you boot into it.
What If I forgot to flash gapps?!? No big deal. If you boot into a rom you installed that doesn't have the market, the BootManager app won't work, so you can't use it to boot back into another rom. They have a solution - boot into recovery and flash the "update.zip" located in the bootmanager>phonerom folder on your sd. Then your phone will reboot into your internal phone rom.
What's the catch, part 2? Some roms have custom scripts that run when they boot, so they don't play well, especially when installed on the SD card.
What else do I need to know? Rom installs take longer. After installing, the roms on the sd card do not lag. You can back up the roms that you install through the app.
This is a dream for people who want to play with nightlies or try a bunch of roms, but need their old-reliable come Monday morning. Check it out!

Disclaimer: I have no affliliation with Init 2 Win It. I just love this app.
I'll start with a question, too. I put BAMF3.0 rc 4.9 in an SD slot. When I boot in, everything works except Titanium Backup can't find root. Anyone else have this problem?

Interesting. I'm having a similar problem with MyBackup Pro. The app would request SU permission but then it never acknowledged that it had it. I also had BAMF 3.0 Rc 4.9 running off SD

I haven't tried the MIUI yet. It might be another with a custom boot script.
You could try to install it as the internal phoneROM and see if it works. If it doesn't you'll need to restore a nand backup.
Good luck, should you choose to accept this mission. This post will self-destruct in 3...2...1...
ok so maybe someone can help me. im trying to flash CM7 and i flashed it and forgot to flash the GAPPS thing before a reboot. i got back into my original rom and im ready to try it again. i have CM& ready to flash, but how do i flash GAPPS before the reboot? do i do the flash of GAPPS from within bootmanager, rom manager, or hboot? thanks!
Flash gapps through bootmanager just like the rom, in the same slot. Dont wipe anything.

That's why I'm here.
disappointed that the synergy nightlies flashed to a slot put me in a boot loop. but was excited that all i had to do to fix it was flash the update.zip under bootmanager/phone
Maybe I'm missing something but where can I find the gapps zip/ every time I try to boot from the app, its telling me either no Rom installed or no image found
I installed all 3 versions of the recently leaked GB ROM using bootmanager and interesting NONE of them will boot up. Best I can tell from adb logcat is that the ROM does a memory test and the wrong memory type is returned causing a boot loop at that point.
Smells like a bit of copy protection testing going on.
Yea something's not working right with the app... I can't get any Rom to install.....

A lot of the Sense roms fail. I have Monolith running fine.
Hey there, just wondering of anyone else is having the problem of Sd card space going into limbo if the ROM install doesn't go well (i'm talking the install or back up glitches and doesn't finish, not it actually finishing and getting a boot loop. I've tried wiping cache/dalvik cache, all the cleaning functions within the app. Deleting the slots and wiping the slots didn't work either. Like I said it seems to be in limbo, and don't feel like moving all my data off my card and reformatting every time this occurs. Any ideas?
Hey guys,
I love this app. I also had some problems but now I have Gingeritis as my phoneRom and switch between SHIFTS3NS3 and BAMF which are all gb roms.
The trick I found was that if it doesn't load the first time keep trying, it took me about two tries to load SHIFTS3NS3 and about 3 for bamf. Make sure you use ext2.
Also make sure your phone stays awake.
If you have an issue email the Devs they responded to me with in 10 min of the email.
Great app

Hey Guys,
I m very new to flashing. Flashed for the 1st time last nite. Made 2 backups. Flashed Stock JVR. Ten applied SURFACE Rom on it. Then applied PaulGiddy's Theme on it. (Thanx Guys!!).
Now the problem is: I downloaded some apps from the market and it was fine. But Now, Whenever I try to download from the market, error message flashes up saying something about insufficient space.
Maybe it is due to 2 backups in CWM backup, maybe cache, maybe I donno what I m talking about .
Pls Help me out guys.
Sorry for being such a n00b.
Try going into settings/applications/manage applications and wipe market cache, if that doesn't work try wiping one of your cwm backups let me know if it sorts it out

Yesterday, I tried to change ROM (to check it out) so before this I did a backup in CWM.
What a surprise when CWM didnt restore this backup. I was looking through the internet for solution and I found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15431672&postcount=24
I have same problem as in first post of this thrade (when restoring data, the whole process is stopped) but this solution seems to be for HTC Desire. What could I do if I want data back?
Please help me.
r u using same version of CWM to backup and restore?
new version not backward compatible with an older version backup
Yes, it is the same version

No no, i didnt change anything. The problem is described in that link, it seems that some versions of cwm have problem with restore and have to be fixed than the restore should work. But I dont know how to fix it.
Just simply update CWM to a newer version before restoring the backup.
I pushed the commit long time ago so any "recent" cwm (5.x) will solve the problem.
Hope this helps
Thanks a lot LinoX, but there is only CWM v4.0.1.5 for x8 on XDA.
Is it useful (should I try it?) or do I need newer version? (as you wrote 5.x.x)

if it is an unmodified build (from source) then yes (sometimes there're custom modified builds to add functions. Those recoveries can be problematic because they break more than they fix. Recoveries are really important and you should install only "trusted" ones.)
Try with this one and let us know if it suffices (I'm sure 5.x has the fix, I'm not sure if 4.x had it too...but you shouldn't do any damage..at most it will halt again when restoring)
It seems to work but after first restore there were many apps not be restored, so i did another one. It is better now but still there are about 5 apps not restored plus stock Internet browser (dont know if some other system apps too).
I think it is strange that after every restore there is not same result and not what was backuped at all.
Where could be a problem and is it worth to try restore until everything is restored?
It is true that backup was created by cwm3.2(seems ported from x10mini) included in gingerdx rom i use.

Hi, I have a nandroidbackup made using CWM 5.0.2.7. And I want to restore it. Now I have CyanogenMod7 and I have Clockworkmod 5.0.0.6.
So I copied the nandroidbackup from external_sd to internal_sd, and now when it shows up in my restore menu.
Is there any problem that the backup was made with Clockworkmod 5.0.2.7 and I restore it with Clockworkmod 5.0.2.6 ?

I've try like countless time installing revolutionmod 3.4 but my device will stuck after reboot at HTC screen.
I tried it with every kernel but still ended up stucking at HTC screen.
I've no problem installing nameless but i want to try revolution because it seems nicer.
Can anyone help me suggesting the best solution for me?
