After some weeks, I decided to make available my work on making Xperia PLAY games to work on Xperia Pro MK16. For copyright reasons, I will not attach any of the Xperia PLAY files required, but anyone can download those files from the Xperia PLAY forums.
Warning
This may not damage your phone, but as it involves dealing with /system, you could get your phone damaged. I'm not responsible for such damage.

Requirements:
1. SE Stock Firmware. This may not work with CM ROMS, as they may not have the required libraries & kernel patches for the SE framework. My Xperia Pro is working with the Stock ROM 4.0.2.A.0.42 Baseband 56.
2. Rooted phone. It may be faster to use a rooted kernel, as you can push files directly to /system via ADB, but it's not strictly required. Apps like Root Explorer or ES File Explorer will also do the work. Unlocked Bootloaders is not required.
3. A Xperia PLAY rom, which you can get from the "Xperia Play Android Development" forum ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1093 ). I used R800i_4.0.2.A.0.42_Generic.
Step-By-Step:
1. Get the following files from the Xperia PLAY system partition:
Code:
+---app
| brucelee.apk
| com.sony.playstation.ncua94900_1.apk
| com.sonyericsson.androidapp.storefront.apk
| fifa.apk
| PlayStationPocket.apk
| preinstalledservice.apk
| semcsuite.apk
| Sims.apk
| starbattalion.apk
|
+---bin
| brcm_patchram_plus
| lidswitchd
| usbeng
|
+---etc
| \---permissions
| com.playstation.playstationcertified.xml
| com.sony.android.playstationcertified.xml
| com.sonyericsson.android.xperiaplaycertified.xml
|
+---framework
| com.playstation.playstationcertified.jar
| playstationcertified.jar
| xperiaplaycertified.jar
|
\---lib
libpswave_jni.so
libsemcwave_jni.so
2. Copy those files to your Xperia Pro system partition, preserving the folder structure. All the files must have owner root.root and permissions 0644.
3. Pull /system/build.prop, and open it with some UNIX text editor. On Linux, use Nano, vi, vim, mc, or any of your prefference(DO NOT USE gedit); on Windows, use WinVi (The only one I know uses Linux line ending.
4. Search for property "ro.semc.timescape_keys". The default value is "Sony_Ericsson_Xperia". Change it to "Sony_Ericsson_Xperia_PLAY".
5. Search for property "ro.product-res-path". Add the following properties after that:
Code:
ro.sf.lcd_density=240
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=15
ro.semc.dashboard.xperiaplay=true
ro.semc.dashboard.searchuri=http://pss.dl.playstation.net/pss/content/list.html
6. Save the file, and push it back to /system. Change group to root.root & permissions to 0644.
7. Reboot your phone.
8. Now, on your app drawer, you should see you have "Crash Bandicoot" & "Bruce Lee Dragon".
9. Install zeusTranslator.apk attached.
10. Go to Settings->Language & keyboard. There, disable any input method you have and enable "ZEUS Translator". Tap OK on the warning.
11. Open Crash Bandicoot or Brucer Lee Dragon, let it download the required files, and it will start. Try to download over WiFi, as downloading over Mobile Data may be expensive & slow.
12. Enjoy a Xperia PLAY-similar experience. Here are the key mappings:

To-Do:
1. The zeusTranslator is now working, but I've not tested it very well, so it may have some problems. Just tell me to check how I fix them.
2. I've also tried to use games packaged with PSXperia, but still no luck. I'll update as soon I get this working.
Any question or comment, just post here.
For anyone who wants the source code of the zeusTranslator, I've created a repo at github: https://github.com/alvaroag/zeusTranslator

Hi. From some days ago, I've been working on making the Xperia PLAY games work on my Xperia Pro MK16a. I've been able to make the stock game "Crash Bandicoot" run, but I'm currently having problems with key mappings, so still I can't really play.
The problem is, I'm not really sure if this is legal. On my country, as this is a private work, and the authorities don't worry about copyright, it's no real problem to do it for my own. But, on other countries such as US or European countries, I'm not really sure.
So, I would like to read other people's comments that may help me to know if this is legal or not. Also, moderator's comments will be appreciated. PLEASE, only comments about the legal issues; nothing like "that's awesome" "i want to try it" and that kind of things. That comments can be saved for later.
Only if, after some helpful comments, I see no legal problem with publishing my work, I will do it, and will also accept help from other MK16 users to make it work.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

you carryon man..surely will give a try and a feedback..
Making a tutorial on how to change key mappings will not be illegal. Just like there's a tutorial in XDA on how to play GLoft HD games on phones with 480x320 display.
However modifying paid apps with the key mappings and then posting the apk here is not allowed.

No doubt about that, but I dont want to get problems, as xda has to comply with the law. I'm almost sure that if I post my method here, many MK16 users will give feedback and some will also help with the development.

Well, that's not my purpose. If i get to make a fully working method, I'll most probably post just the procedure to make things work, but not the files needed. The reason is simple: the files can already be downloaded here at the forum. Just go to the Xperia PLAY forum, download a stock FTF, extract it, use sin2img & unyaffs2, and you have all the needed files. The key is the HOWTO. Also, the author of PSXperia didn't got in trouble, even when it's as controversial as what I'm currently working in.
Also, the ways of SE/SMC to avoid PLAY games to work on other phones is so simple, that I understand they didn't wanted to make the games difficult to be run on another phones. I think the ZPlatform relies on some SE framework libraries, but it's not really PLAY-dependant. If they really wanted to protect it, they could have put more dependencies inside the framework; bu they didn't, and that's the reason I have got to run Crash Bandicoot on my MK16a(still working on key mappings). So I think they really don't matter about some users can make the thing work on other phone, but rather in the fact the Xperia PLAY is designed for that, from the keyboard to the software.
Anyway, two questions for everyone who reads this:
1. Can anyone provide me wwith the IDs of the keys of the Xperia PLAY?
2. Any other comments about the legal issues?
thanks in advance.
hai mate..discusssing out of any chance of cross functionalities between some models in xda is not a first thing..for example multitouch from new models to old models like x10,bravia engine from arc to other models..even sensor light functionalities had been discussed already..like that you can discuss all possibilties of some hardware devolepment section and modification right here becaues it is an open devolpment forum, also sony ericsson devolpers forum also support even for unlocking the bootloader to public for these type of devlpmnts i think...but u tc on not to publish paid apps directly..thats ol
That's really a good point. I've now decided to publish my work on this, so I'll edit the first post in a few minutes.
thanks alvaroag..awesome work, wil try ur method and wil give feedback within days.,i think you are the first one as a devleper in the pro community..many many thanks to you
Thanks, it works!
Tested crash bandicoot, lets hope you get the key mapping right.

Finally, I've got to make the key mappings working. Enjoy it.
i have tested it, it works fine.
do i have to switch keyboard everytime i want to play a game ?
is it possible to disable automatic start of xperia play app ?
EDIT: i deleted "semcsuite.apk" and "com.sonyericsson.androidapp.storefront.apk", it's still working without auto start the "PLAY" app
PlayStation suit on arc
is it possible to make it work on phone without hardware keyboard such as the arc? I have managed to install the official PlayStation pocket and store on my arc but it can't launch xperia play's crash banicoot. It stuck on updating message. Can anyone show me some light of how to fix it? I have changed the build.prop file to r800 so I can access playstation store but games still don't lauch.

Currently, the only alternative is to change the input method before playing, as it's the only way to get the keyboard to generate the same keycodes the Xperia Play does.

For devices such as Neo & Arc, which don't have a hardware keyboard, I think it's a bit more difficult. A few minutes ago, someone send me a video of PLAY games running with onscreen keyboard on other Xperia devices(not sure which). I think it is done using the APK of any PLAY game which comes with the Xperia S, but I'm not sure. I will keep looking at it.
@alvaroag
Did you already managed to make PSXperia games work? If not please tell me I think I could help.

No, still no luck with the psxperia games. I've tried with Crash Team Racing, with EU & US source APKs, but no luck.
I'm trying to get an APK for Xperia S, because those have Touchpad, so the zeusTranslator would not be needed. But I still can't get one, because I don't get the PS store to work.
Any help would be apreciated.

Good job! (though have not tried it yet)
Though would it be possible for you to make the ZeusTranslation HashMap load from an easily editable text file so that we can experiment with different mappings without having to recompile etc.? (I'm not a fan of your chosen mappings )
(and in the future would be even better if we could set key mappings in the keyboard settings just as is done in emulators like Gensoid etc.)

Why the need to set the wifi scan interval? LCD density is already set to 240 on the Pro .62 Firmware. Did you just do a diff between the Pro and PLAY build.props?

Have you tried my build.prop tweek from arc. You will not need the zip i don't think as you take the correct permissions and framework out on your first post. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1402731 This should let you in to the PS store.
Hey sorry, but does this means that the Xperia Play has exclusive games?? And does it have Playstation Network??
Also, is there a version of Fifa 12 that works with the Xperia Pro?? It has the same resolution as the Arc [the more popular one] so there NEED 2be a cracked version I think!?
All 2011 models have the same resolution w/ exception of Xperia Mini & Active --> Play has the same resolution as Pro
Fifa 2012 is available for xperia play therefore if you follow instructions in the first post and install support for Play games you can play Fifa 2012 on your Pro. No crack needed you can download Fifa from the market (in the pack is also "Playstation Portable" app from where u can download)

This is a program to complement your ROM. It is able to produce a CWM flashable zip with apps your ROM might be missing (T-Mob ones, launchers, utilities, etc). It also has other tools available for you. It can produce an empty flashable zip for you (read more about it here). And now, it has "repositories." Developers can upkeep their own repos with whatever files they wish. Roms, themes, mods, etc.

Download. Note: you must have Java installed to run this app
WHILE YOU ARE DOWNLOADING MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP
Unzip the folder. Please keep it intact. Moving files around in there will probably break the functionality.
Run ACS.jar.
Choose desired apps.
Wiping Dalvik cache is recommended, but it will take you about 5 minutes to boot
Copy flash.zip to your internal sd card
Flash with CWM
Linux users: if you are running Linux I advise you to use the run.sh file to run the program, otherwise it may use your home directory to store files
Mac users: you need to have java 1.6 installed for this to work. i tested this on a friend's mac (running 10.5.8 & java 1.5) and it wasn't working. also i was not able to update her java to 1.6 either. so i'm assuming you need to have snow leopard installed for this to work...

Sounds awesome, I know a lot of people will find that very useful. Great job so far! My only concern is will you be releasing a new version every time the apps are updated? Or do you intend to have it download the latest versions automatically once you turn it into a client and host the actual files online?

If this happens, it would be extremely easy to update to newer versions. But as the program works right now, it's pretty basic, so yes it would have to be downloaded again.
Also I'm pretty sure I lack the skill to program it to download the files. So like I said. Maybe later

No worries man, that still sounds like a great tool. I honestly wouldn't mind downloading every now and then, I was just curious. I'm finishing up some things and going to try flashing a test in a bit.
If I can get it to work I will post the initial release later today. Only the Utilities tab and the Mms tab will be working though.
I've gotta figure out which Apks go with what for the actual bloat

So I'm in the process of creating a little utility that will allow you to choose alllllll the bloat you'll ever want.
It will generate a .zip file that you will flash through CWM.
Couple things I'd like to mention:
It's written in Java, so eventually I will get it working properly on Linux and OS X as well.
The file size of this utility will be a little large as I will have to include every single program with it
I will eventually try and get them to download off the internet to make the utility itself pretty damn tiny, no promises though
I had originally planned to make this an online-kitchen type tool. I don't know nearly enough PHP so I just ended up doing this
This thing is Alpha
I'll probably end up releasing the alpha over at Heathen's site before I put up a beta over here
I'd like to hear your thoughts/suggestions/comments.

Honestly, that wasn't my main intention. I thought it was a good idea for people to add apps they wanted in one swift flash. I'm always looking to have Titanium and maybe a couple other apps.
This just makes it easier and provides most of the apps people want in one place.
But I've read it over and over how (some) people want Avatar, Wifi calling, or AOSP mms, and I've even seen a request at one point for the memo app.
Right now, this is what works:

Gotcha. It is a good idea. It just threw me because of the generally negative connotation of the word "bloat"...

As far as updating goes.... It's not difficult here's an example for you...
http://www.javajazzup.com/issue3/page65.shtml
All you would need would be a host to hold all your files which a simple DropBox account can solve.
As far as the updater goes. What you can do is make a Wrapper that checks for a new file on a server (your new dropbox) if its the same size (in bytes) then continue to load your main .jar, else you tell it to download to the location which should overwrite it or you can delete it prior to the download.
I hope this helps in your java application. Great work and continue the dev
P.S. Feel free to PM for any questions you might have on Java.

Yeah I didn't really doubt I could find it online, just didn't wanna jump in too far right away.
I was actually thinking of hosting like a master file which would contain locations and versions of the files that the client would be able to download and interpret. That's just something that crossed my mind though. I'm going to get this thing working fully offline before I go into anything else.
As far as the web hosting goes, I have some, it says it's "unlimited" but I have a feeling XDA will test that limit if the time comes.
Thanks for offering to help! I may take you up on it.
If anyone knows this, I'd greatly appreciate the help. I need to know which APKs are associated with the following apps (mainly if there's another APK besides the main one):
AllShare
Amazon
Avatar
GoGo
Layar
Kindle
MediaHub
Memo
Mini Diary

T.E.A.M. Stock Rom for 2011 Xperia devices
(Arc, Arc S, Ray, Active, Play, Neo, Neo V, Pro)
pvyParts and iridaki
Proudly Present you
T.E.A.M. Stock Rom
A Rom for the Community By the Community!
YOU MUST Read this Post FULLY Before you Post any Questions!
First of all, hello 2011 Xperia Devices World!
We are coming from a galaxy far far away, where and when the X10 was a flagship!
We created the T.E.A.M ROM for the X10 and now we are taking the first step towards porting it to the next generation of devices.
The new TEAM ROM will be universal across the following devices:
1. Xperia Arc
2. Xperia Arc S
3. Xperia Active
4. Xperia Ray
5. Xperia Play
6. Xperia Neo
7. Xperia Neo V

( Devices with smaller screen resolution, such as Mini and Mini Pro will follow later on we didn't forget you! )
How we did that?
We have developed a Auto-Magic installation script that will work on any Xperia device by customising system files appropriately during flashing.
Some of the many new and unique features of the upcoming TEAM ROM:
1. Quick sound profiles integrated into the ROM -forget any 3rd party apps, now it's all accessible from the power menu
2. Brightness toggle control with a neat popup you can bring up any time from your statusbar
3. TEAM Tweaks (customise your clock/date/battery/signal text color/size/font, integrated battery bar)
4. Transparency everywhere you look!
5. Elegant TEAM theme
6. New Clock and Calendar from leaked Xperia S GB ROM
7. Tweaks for ambient sensor, minfree and more
8. Enhanced power menu with reboot options: Reboot, Reboot in Recovery, Reboot in Fastboot. If you choose the latter, you will be prompted to insert your USB cable and the procedure will complete only after you have! As convenient as it gets
9. Compatible with any 2.3.4 ROM, any kernel, any current setup. It will not wipe your data or intefere with the way you have been using the phone so far. It will only make it MUCH better
We are introducing the "ROM/AddOn" concept and we are looking forward to your feedback.
ROM/AddOn means:
* One Zip all Phones! with some Scripting magic we can keep all devices updated with a single zip.
And last but not least, don't forget we have great things in store for all of you:
* Full AppMan Support with 100% OTA Capable, Auto-Magicaly Flashed updates (comming soon)
HOW TO INSTALL:
REQUIREMENTS
HAVE AT LEAST 50% BATTERY BEFORE STARTING!
You must also me on a 2.3.4 Stock Firmware
( This is not a Stock based ROM, it is a Sony Stock Firmware )
You will also need Root and CWM
This will work on either Locked or unlocked bootlaoders that meat the above requiments
NO DATA WILL BE WIPED DURING INSTALLATION!
1. Boot into Recovery and make a NANDROID BACKUP ( This is really IMPORTANT, as we can't recover your data! If the fan gets soiled )
2. Flash the "TEAM_ROM_v0001_HDPI.zip" via Recovery.
3. Reboot and let the phone do it's thing as it will be rebuilding caches and settling.
First boot can take up to 10 minutes so be patient!
If you want to use your own custom Clock font:
1. You should place your custom font in folder /system/TEAM/font and it should be a .ttf file named clock_font.ttf.
2. Go to Settings > Tweaks and check the option Custom Font for whatever element you wish (clock, battery, signal, date).
You can now also tweak the text size to your liking!!

Q & A
Q: Where is AppMan?
A: AppMan will suffer a full rewrite and will be ready for a future update!
Q: Can I use this or that kernel for unlock or locked bootloader?
A: ALL kernels built for stock ROMs WILL WORK on this rom. We have tested all of them so take our word for it. ( yes we are flash junkies )
Q: Can I use this or that theme?
A: Short answer, no. Unless of course it is built of our framework. We have made MASSIVE mods to the framework so most themes will disable most, if not all, options in the Tweaks app.
( unfortunatly themers dont like our framework as it changes too often )
Q: I am getting a FC on this or that, can you help me!
A: NO. We can't help you. Because what you just said means nothing to us.
We want to help you SO much, but in order to do that you need to report the bug properly.
We took care of that too, see here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18195325
Q: OMG YOU STOLE MY WORK! YOU [email protected]#$!% etc etc etc
A: We kindly ask you that if you have an issue with any of the inclusions in the ROM to either PM me or iridaki so we can sort it out politely There is no need to flame in the thread. Also if we have forgotten credits, please let us know and we will add them immediately.
Q: This rom is stupid, I hope you fail, "that" ROM is better!
A: That's cool, use "that" ROM. There is absolutely no need to report your disgust unless of course you have constructive criticsm. Personal Preference isn't a bug or an issue
We encourage EVERYONE to use the ROM they feel is best for them
Q: wow this is cool can i...
A: HOLD UP read our rules
1- no whining about our work
2- no asking for eta's
3- no asking for eta's
4- no useless posts in development thread
5- logcat or GTFO
6- no asking for eta's

Good work Team ROM, Love the Animations and the Theme ..Fantastic
Tested on Xperia Ray.. Flashed on Top of 2.3.4 on FW .62 with Aier's Stock Kernel...
Flashing took about 20 secs and firmware booted in less than 2 mins on first boot...
Just a Few Misalignments in Widgets and Application Manager Lists...\\Attaching Screen Shots..
Note:
1)the Contacts Widgets are not aligned (I had to flash my Modded Home.apk which luckily works good on it and that fixes it)..and
2)the Size of the apps in the Applications list is partially hidden...
Hope to get a fix soon.. All other things so far working good..
Good job team

Been waiting for this for a long long time. THANKS GUYS
As expected for a beta release, this one is quite buggy and many settings don't work or crash when selected. This said, I am still very hyped to see the TEAM-Rom for our Arc! Thank you so much!
I know there are many things to do first, by I would still like to make a feature request: The one feature of CyanogenMod I really miss on all stock roms is to skip a running music track by long pressing the volume buttons while the screen is off. If it is possible to include this in TEAM, please consider to do so!
Sorry Sir and Madam of developers, is it possible to have stock Home button instead of SE-ball logo? I like the feel of the stock somehow.
I tried the Beta-ROM all day and it is very good for LT15i and super good tweaks etc.
Thank you very much for your ROM.

We are aware of that issue with SE Widgets, it's because we made the grid of the launcher 5x4 instead of 4x4 (don't you just hate wasted screen estate? )
Widgets will be fixed separately to fit the new grid for the final release within the next days!

Yes of course, it will be changed, this was just some tests I've been doing trying to find a good app drawer icon, got fed up and desaturated the purple one I use.
We will include a much better one for final V1.
I have played with this now for a little while on my ArcS and it looks good, feels good and acts good concidering it's in beta state. A few small glitches ofcourse, but what the heck, it's beta.
tried to tweak number of homescreens and rows of homescreen. None of them seemed to work.
I also get an GMail update from Market, but when I try to apply it I only get an error. Something about incompatible.
I solved it by uninstall GMail and restored it with TitaniumBackup from an older backup.
Thanx for a great looking rom.

We have a transparent themed Gmail in TEAM, but it is version 2.5.3 and the latest one is I thin 2.5.3.2.
Since it was edited, it was signed with our keys so the original app from the Market signed by Google fails to replace it.
We will port the theme to the latest version for the final release.
If you want to keep the themed app, deactivate auto-updates on the Market for Gmail, it should stop nagging.
This means the only Xperia Phones that u arent supporting are the xperia x8, the xperia x10 mini and mini pro.
What a pitty
I like this ROM very much and at the end of the month when I get my salary I will donate a small money to iridaki, cause this ROM makes my phone very happy.
My LT15i is like new again.
this is awesome, very nice!
Theming ROM right
This ROM is only for theming and customizing it doesn't has tweaks to improve the performance .right?
I applied it on top of acroniom and now testing
I will give you the result later

Downloading this to see what you did! How do you intend to "fix" GoogleSearch?
I have Velvet installed on my cm-10.2 (user app). It would FC almost immediately using the libgoogle_recognizer_jni_1.so from the thread. This is closed-source armv7 stuff so sort of cuts us out.
EDITED POST: What I thought was happening was simply wrong: Not the 4.4 Velvet. With what I did have, the following still valid:
That armv7 precompiled close source stuff kills us (if Google is to support "older" devices, it needs to make armv6 precompiled jni's available or make it all open source so we can do them!). However, when I was experimenting with my current configuration, somehow, Google Search's speech input came up. "Initializing en-US." (I have that srec but NOT symlinked in), and then ... it took my voice and used it. Just once, but it did do it! Not an illusion. So maybe this can be fixed up.
EDIT: Conspicous by it absense is the "PrebuiltGMSCore." I did install that, user upgrade to my previous gmscore. Needed by Play and the thread claims that its "prebuilt" version is required by Google Now.
Ext2 partition with cronmod causes boot loop, but nice integration of Google now
nvm. my partitions were messed up
Google Search FC Fix
Hey heres how to fix google search forces closes! Long press the home screen, select Settings. Select Voice. Select Language to change the default. Change to another language, I choose English – UK. Hit Home. Do a Google Search. Repeat the first three steps. Change back to English – US.
Enjoy

This has been bandied about on the thread, sometimes successful, sometimes not.
In our case, I doubt you will see any benefit. I tried it. First off, there is no offline recognition currently working on our device. No off-line options in settings (if one can get that far), no language kits, nothing.
At our stage, Google Search FC trying to initialize/access off-line voice recognition which is armv7 compiled. Bingo. Edit: The Rashed's old modded version apparently neutralized that call. Clicking mic would, of course, FC.
Dovidhalevi said:

I have Velvet installed on my cm-10.2 (user app). It would FC almost immediately using the libgoogle_recognizer_jni_1.so from the thread. This is closed-source armv7 stuff so sort of cuts us out. However ... brainstorm: Extracted the jni from Rashed's Jan 7 GoogleNow.apk and lo and behold, it starts up, one can do searches, access cards, etc. I can get online voice recognition into it using the voice search assistant widget shortcut and I have that using overlays covering Google Search's mic icons (which are guaranteed FC). Not the most fluid but the thing works.
With the thread's JNI, launcher worked, Google Search FC in a loop. WIth Rashed's, launcher does not find Google Search (which really is the launcher--GoogleHome is a stub and maybe the wallpapers).
With the thread's JNI, I could get to settings->voice if I did it quick enough (before the FC). Offline options not shown. With Rashed's jni, setting->voice FC immediately.

The voice recognition did work for me a few times. I dont know how, but it did. Unfortunately, the FC.
Fortunately, I was able to get a screenshot before the FC popup.

This is the same reason why I think this can be fixed!
Different thing: I installed it but can't get over the initial settings because the Android keyboard gets FC all the time. Just a corrupt download?
I tried to edit the rom via the Oone editor and install the keyboard i normally use as user app but that won'T help me get over the damn initial settings
Is there actually a way to set a different keyboard than the AOSP as default?
Edit: Found the solution 3 seconds after posting -.- I didn't have the German pack in the LatinME installed, but chosen in the initial settings. That made it crash.
However the question how to set an alternative keyboard as default still interests me, though it might be a little OT

If you want to set alternative keyboard as default, you first have to install it in phone memory and not SD card.
Then i guess, that's it. Now select the keyboard and enjoy!

That's not what I meant I meant rather somehting like replacing the stock keyboard with an alternative (MessagEase in my case), so that it basically 'identifies' this as stock keyboard.

Just place the apk in /system/app/ and change permission to rw-r--r--
Or simply install the app and make it a system app through apps like Link2SD or /system/app mover

Umm.. i have already included the statusbar and the navigation bar gradient. And yes, its a bit messy in some of the apps. I guess because of the Holo light theme. what if i edit the Holo light background to make it black in the statusbar area?

Debloater for Sony Xperia E1
The following zip file removes every bloatware app that are using space and eating RAM.
Good If you reinstalled your phone, or updated your Firmware.
This script removes 100 bloatware total. There may be more bloatware apps, as I only used Russian Firmware, in my opinion It is the best Firmware which does not eat up RAM, or does not have any issues.
Removes .apk files and .odex files, no app will use .odex files If you remove the apps anyways
I managed to find all Bloatware apps on Xperia E1. (If not please tell me) More speed, and more Battery life!
Please hit thanks If it was helpful!

Minus Settings, and USB app, You have 150+ RAM
Pre-installed System apps (After debloating)
The boot time drastically decreased, Starting from the Xperia Logo, It is usually 9-12 seconds until the animation turns darker
Note: If you sign into Google Play for the first time, immediately turn off the automatic updates!
What will be deleted?
-Update Center, All Plugins (FB, Twitter, Wikipedia, YouTube), Google Chrome, Settings wizard, Sony apps (exclude Walkman, Album, Video), Google apps (Games, Films, etc..), Sony themes, Sony wallpapers, Widgets, Data logging junks (Anonymous data for ex.), Other junk apps that eating RAM (RetailDemo.apk; ...)
File Commander is NOT DELETED (Good Bloatware app)
Workarounds:
-Album crashes everytime when setting a custom wallpaper (Download this and install it: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B2ONZFOkl3m7VzFxRzlkU0hkVk0/edit)
(I removed the Photo Editor app from the list, but If someone doesn't need it, delete it yourself, sorry) (I will edit the Permission for that If you want to delete it from Settings)
If you experience more battery drain than before, the main reason is because an app requests a function from the other app that is no longer exists on your phone
This will cause some apps call scripts/functions from an app which are using the CPU, and the result is faster Battery draining.
Trying different firmwares MAY fix this issue
Confusing Apps:
WALKMAN -- Shake control, can't disable
RetailDemo -- For local retail stores, can't disable
Performance Tweaks:
coming soon!
Debloater versions:
E1KKDebloater.zip -- This will remove everything that is useless, such as Sony apps, services, pre-installed Bloatware (exclude File Commander), System apps
E1KKDebloaterV2.zip -- Same as E1KKDebloater V1, expect that It will not remove Setup wizards, which is Factory reset friendly (Use it with FTF zip creator)
E1KKDebloaterV3.zip -- Final version (Blacklists ANTHal, Dummy apps, and apps that are needed for Factory Reset and etc. etc.)
Decrease the Battery drain:
Many apps has Wakelocks which will wake your phone from Deep Sleep mode, this means whenever you lock your phone It will drain your battery, just like when you use it regularly
To avoid this, flash the Debloater ZIP, and do a Factory reset (optional)
You need root to download Battery save apps, and "main" apps, such as Xposed.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-extreme-battery-life-t3095884
This link gives you a great tutorial on how to save your battery, combining this with my debloater It will decrease the battery draining
So what does the Debloater(s) do?
-Remove .apk and .odex files from app, priv-app, and etc folders
Nothing special, this thing just saves you a lot of time
2016: V3 is fixed now, inside the zip there was an another folder which you couldn't flash (D'uh!)

the .zip file wouldn't do anything to his phone anyways. Maybe I will do a checker on the .zip file before people will use it, regardless If it is for E1 or not
Looks like I broke the wallpapers. I'll find out why, and which app needs it
Tried it, is amazing
It really did remove all the bloat, also removed the built-in "system bloat" apps, so I can remove their updated versions just like a regular app from the app drawer. So far, I only noticed the sound driver to load much faster and some apps open much faster. Nice job!

delete("/system/app/LiveWallpapers.apk");
I have a feeling that this might be the cause of the problem..
Edit:
I just flashed he .zip.. and everything seems to be ok..
Live wallpapers are deleted, and the wallpapers are ok..
The phone really is a lot faster!!
edit: Hangouts and drive app were still installed(probably because they were updated, so the updated version was not deleted, while factory version was deleted).. So I needed to delete them manually
Even with RAM consuming applications like facebook and messenger, my phone is still running smooth!
GOOD JOB (Y)

The problem is in the Sony Album app, It wants to open Photo Editor, which I deleted, and since there is no Photo Editor the app crashes.

Don't know why, but I don't have the problem with the Sony Album app, even thou Photo Editor is deleted..
And there is another bloatware app : File Commander

File Commander is a good bloatware app in my opinion. I always use that If I want to install apps from SD Card and vice versa..
EDIT:
Looks like the Russian Firmware version is using Photo Editor to set wallpapers. And because of this, Album app always crashes when you want to set a custom wallpaper. (Sony wallpapers are fine)
This can be fixed by downloading Photo Editor (google it; Sony Photo Editor apk)

Note: there are apps running in the background, so it shows less "free ram" than usual, but this is ideal
Added 3 more Bloatware!
com.sonyericsson.xhs.apk -- Xperia Lounge (another Lounge from different Firmware)
GMS_Maps.apk -- Google Maps
textinput-chn.apk -- Chinese Xperia Keyboard
Thanks xezrunner!

goood! anyway sorry if OT, does this gonna work with ZE551ML?

yep thats why I asked.. who knows maybe its usable on ze551ml by changing it too 403dpi.. btw thank you..
Ok, removed more stuff from rom as I only use for voip, down to 517Mb. Flashed on ZE551 with Project T Kernel v43, everything working great so far! Only difference I see is smaller bootlogo.
Added to index, thanks for your work!
Screen resolution still 1920x1080. I was looking for a rom with 1280x720 to increase performance and battery especially that I can't tell the difference with 720p and 1080p movies on a 5.5'' screen.
EDIT: Change resolution to 720P @Chinaphonearena post #2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/tip-adjusting-dpi-root-t3098690
Little guide to deodex x86 rom +-30min
Used this tool (thanks to joeldroid):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/and.../script-app-joeldroid-lollipop-batch-t2980857
This tool don't work on x86 rom, only arm rom.
For use it on x86 rom:
Extract all system folder
Rename folder "x86" in framework to "arm".
Rename all folders "x86" in app and priv-app contain odex files to "arm".
Don't modify folder "x86" in "priv-app/InputDevices/" this folder don't have any apk
Use joeldroid tool and your system folder is deodexed and zipaligned.
I contacted joeldroid whether he could adapt its software for x86 rom. I have no answer yet.
if you have a simpler and quicker solution, I'm interested for next time.
Edit: solution here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=61950312
Good stuff!!
I just wanna know, does In-App Purchases working in this ROM?
Because as far as I'm concerned, the In-App Purchases are not working for every apps and games in stock ROM..
For me it work... But it work too on stock on my 550ml.

Ok.. That is weird.. Why is this happening to me only..
Wait.. Just want to confirm.. Can you access SwiftKey Store (to buy the themes)?
Can you 'buy' Heroes from games like Kingdom Rush?
Or.. Can you 'buy' premium version of Ampere app?
The thing is the system complaining that my device has the In-App Purchases disabled, which in my case
they are not. SwiftKey Store complaining that Google Play Services is out-of-date but it is the latest version. Apps or games like Kingdom Rush didn't have the option to buy the hero, and if I click on the 'buy' button, the popup for the IAP is not coming up. Same goes to Ampere, and game like Alien Creeps keep saying the IAP for my device is disabled.
I already e-mailed Asus Support but they are still not being able to resolve the issue..
Ok i see your problem, in app purchase don't work.
I have this problem, but google play purchases work fine.
Just modify google play by rev 5.3.6 work fine with in app purchase.
I modify my rom and upload it in 24h

I've flashed your ROM.. The IAP works just fine, so thank you very much.. I don't really get what is the cause for the issue, but all I can tell you is
when I'm still on stock ROM, I've root it using temporary CWM method. I think maybe something in the procedure have disabled some important components.. I don't know..
Keep up the good works bro. I hope you'll still support this ROM after version 5.1 or 5.1.1 released. :good:
By the way can you provide a flashable Audio Wizard?
Because without it, even after I installed the Viper4Android, the audio is still lacking some details, and pumping bass..
Ok, i see for audio wizard when i have the time
Edit: Disregard. I forgot that I added Audio Wizard back in. I think I do still have the zip on my Google Drive.
Try this:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5lcyaSqESdiNFlZa0tjNy1VQW8/view?usp=docslist_api
If you want use this zip Harfainx, this is your zip with audiowizard and audiowizardview
Thanks for your work
Added (in upload) all apk and framework deoxed on my drive.
2-3 need little update (not deodexed in process). Little update for tomorrow when i have the time.
If anyone want to create a zip with apk, just need put directly apk in system/app or system/priv-app without other folder in harfainx zip. (Work fine tested).
Sorry for my bad english ^^
Edit: all apk are deodexed in google drive
