Official cooked ROM

Hi,
I've been looking for an official rom that does NOT include the following software:
Manilla
HTC keyboard
HDC dialer
Do you guys know if there's such a rom?

All official roms come with official HTC software including manila, HTC keyboard etc.

What rom? Are you looking for wm 6.5 titanium rom? Wm 6.1 rom?
Dutty has a clean no manilla rom advertised in his Leo R1 test thread. That's the only one I know of.

when i had my samsung omnia some people took off all the samsung programs from the oficial rom and i thouth someone else could have done the same for the Htc touch hd.

When people delete these programs and cook, its not "official" anymore. But I think you re looking for something like this:

Should be more clear when you say official then as all cooked roms are technically illegal or unofficial.

stock rom from the official htc euro site.
stock rom from htc site my friend, it should be manila 2.5.
very stable rom and very fast.

this may be a silly question but i i take it there will be new roms cooked from this and if so i think ill wait then re flash

would you say its as fast or perhaps faster than the cooked pre-releases that have been available?

really manila 2.5? i thought all update ROMs from HTC are 2.1.
i'll try it out anyway

It is fast and stable. I try most of the cooked and beta 6.5 rom here. Got a lot of drop calls or sometime the screen froze. I had to do soft reset to have it rom running again.

ahhh good stuff just what i'm looking for, fast and stable! be great to see the chefs cook up some roms based on these official releases and make them even faster!

This official update comes with manila 2.1 and not 2.5

no its not manila 2.5 its manila 2.1 with weather clock...
but very stable and everything working fine including video call, landscape mode, update mylocation thru 3G/HSDPA. all working fine and stable.
this is official ROM for each region. if your region rom not out yet, u need to use Hardspl to use other official region rom. if not u will meet the 'invalid vendor id problem'.

Can't download
I was going to download official 6.5 rom from HTC norwegian pages, entering serial number tell me that the download is not for my unit. I have a generic version, not a version with operator software.

This new official ROM took out so much memory. 73-81% used. Not cool!
Using Unlocked UK ROM.

upgrade
i tried to upgrade my touch pro 2.. for the HTC site and i was told 'Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device'.. i got mine from canada unlocked its a telus branded fone.. plz can someone show me how to upgrade...

Update? 2.1 thats old stuff

Manila 2.1. That is great as I don't like the Manila 2.5 Home screen. Too crowded and visually not pleasing to me.
However, I do like the HTC Twitter tab at Manila 2.5. Any chance where we can have the HTC Twiiter tab as a cab file to be used on Manila 2.1?

Is this a WWE upgrade? Not sure what RUU means.

One of my friend has HTC HD and long back he had got the rom installed, but not sure where he got this downloaded.
If we see in the start-settings—system-About it says
Windows 6.5 Professional
CE OS 5.2.23017(build 23017.5.3.0)
In Device information we get
Rom Version: Miri WM 6.5 | 26.3 WWE
ROM date: 03/30/09
Radio Version: 1.17.25.09
Protocol Version 52.69.25.37U
Pleased help me to locate this rom, if not let me know if there is a way to backup this rom ?
Any suggestions will be helpful

Manila in plain terms is a skin over the top of windows mobile to make everything more pleasant smoother and easier to run (this is also known as TF3D and Sense in the earlier ROMs)

The radio controls all your wireless running gprs etc this comes with the ROM . Never tried updating the radio alone so may or may not be possible

All the ROMs in the forum are made from original (stock) ROMs which have then been tweaked to remove items that are not needed or wanted .. Add items in that are needed or wanted or to change the look and functionality of the original.

WM6.5.X is a term to say will work on WM6.5.1 WM6.5.2 WM6.5.3 without having to list each one individually

Why dont you upgrade to latest official ROM, as ALL latest official Diamond2 ROM comes with newer OS Core and Manila 2.5 also it will install newer Radio ROM . So once you have the latest ROM you can try newer Manila Mods... or if you like you can also go for Custom ROMs too (AS Custom ROM will have Latest OS Core and Manila, and these will be newer than the Latest Official ROM Update ).

If you need Official ROM you get from your regional HTC Site... for India Link Visit Here. You may select the country/region from top of the page.
If you need Cooked/Customized ROM (I will prefer this ) you can select one from the WiKi page. Try couple of ROM and see which one fits for you.
