Hello guys,
I found this thread so i didn't have to open a new one.
My question is.... I have ported a rom (personal use) but for some reason, it can never acquire root privileges.
I have tried the following:
. using dsixda kitchen, add root & busybox -fail
. Copy su.bin, busybox & superuser.apk from X8 rom to ported rom - fail
Can someone please with their knowledge give me a hint on whats wrong or needs changing?

Anyone can port the dialer from Stornmix V2.0.0 ROM ? It's great.

I failed to port it to other 2.3 rom as i had set its permission correctly(Contact.apk), there is no any "phone" or "contact" in the launcher since i ported it. However there is no problem with porting the other dialer ( just this fail ). I know there is another x10 dialer in the forum for x8, but this one is beautiful.
Anyone can help? Thanks.

you can download the zip and extract it. There you will find the dialer. Copy and replace the dialer insystem/app folder and set permission as the old one(dont forget to se the permission before replacing). Also you can use other stuffs inside the zip if you like.

also you can flash this zip via xrecovery, here are sony's system/etc/permissions and system/framework for the contacts.apk, and other their apps to work.

I hope no-one actually downloads this attachment, they risk bricking, virusing and destroying their phones..
If you would be so kind as to be clear about which launcher this is, which version, for which version of android, ported from which android etc..
To be as silly as to expect people to just download and install any old "Launcher.apk" is just ridiculous..
Please give more details..

Ok I saw it if you are whit stock 2.1 it might not work I can open the package installer but when I install it says App not installed.....

Well guys, I rooted my GT-S6500D (CyanogenMod 10.1) with the normal Galaxy Mini 2 Root.zip but didn't work, after that someone gave me other root file 291KB size (I think this is fake? although superuser got installed). When I installed Rom ToolBox Pro it didn't get listed in "Superuser apps list" so that was the reason why I can't edit on build.prop ! Any ideas please ... Wish to get help :fingers-crossed:

i rooted my phone through stumproot so that i can remove the bloat from my phone by using "nobloat"
and accidently i removed the home launcher called LGhome.apk or something like that
i tried reinstalling it by downloading it from various sites but non of them worked for my lg gflex
i am running jellybean 4.2.2
build number: JDQ39B
software version: D9510n
in on stock rom with no additional updates
please help me out , if you can attached the LGHome.apk file here which can run on my phone like it was running before (currenly which i installed is force closing by itself, maybe because of model change or it could be of some other lg phone)
or guide me if there is a better solution than that
