Hello guys,
I found this thread so i didn't have to open a new one.
My question is.... I have ported a rom (personal use) but for some reason, it can never acquire root privileges.
I have tried the following:
. using dsixda kitchen, add root & busybox -fail
. Copy su.bin, busybox & superuser.apk from X8 rom to ported rom - fail
Can someone please with their knowledge give me a hint on whats wrong or needs changing?

I had same problem with app not showing up in the dock until I tried this version and it's working perfect now... just rename the .zip file to .apk and install bit.ly/Qs5aDt

Installation
Reboot and flash the zip through recovery
Delete systemUI.odex and Reboot
use quicksettings app to configure the toggles
Enjoy
Note other rom users can attach your deodexed systemui.apk I'll mod it when i find time

sorry mate it can be done only on samsung based stock and custom roms,CM7 has this feature by default..i remember using this feature in cm7 on my Galaxy Ace

How about XXLD6? Btw, if I am using stock odexed rom, can I still use this rom? Will it consume ram and battery?
I found out that stock rom and kernel is the fastest and smooth kernel and rom build so far that's why I'm using stock
Btw do you think we can add CRT animation? I've tried few methods but always stuck at compiling back

I would like to say that it's not stock rom
It's deodexed stock rom but yes it's rock stable

I install it and it works. Can you make an update in order to fix the "flashlight" function please? When I tap on it it force close.

I have S3 9305 running official 4.4.4 kitkat firmware..
my S3 is rooted.. I saw some Note4 ports for s4 nd S5 running kitkaton XDA forum..
some of them like messaging, accu weather widgets, file manager, Snote, new touch wiz launcher. flipboard breifing etc run succesfully on GT-I9305 kitkat also..
but applications like settings menu, System Ui etc hv some force close issues nd some resolution problems as well..
I really liked those white note 4 settings menu nd stuff.. so I downloaded Galaxy A5 firmware and extracted it to get official A5 apks.. A5 is also based on 4.4.4 kitkat.. but those apks didnot work on I9305 kitkat 4.4.4
can anyone help with these apks of A5 working on S3 LTE 4.4.4 ??
you cant just take apps from one device, they need to be modified and you need to do a lot of debugging,, simple logcats while the app is fc is a way of finding out what the problem is. most apps also rely on lib files too

I extracted SecSettings.apk yesterday to get the xml but it was corrupted.. I think because it was from stock odexed rom.. how can odexed apks be converted to deodexed apks ??

i rooted my phone through stumproot so that i can remove the bloat from my phone by using "nobloat"
and accidently i removed the home launcher called LGhome.apk or something like that
i tried reinstalling it by downloading it from various sites but non of them worked for my lg gflex
i am running jellybean 4.2.2
build number: JDQ39B
software version: D9510n
in on stock rom with no additional updates
please help me out , if you can attached the LGHome.apk file here which can run on my phone like it was running before (currenly which i installed is force closing by itself, maybe because of model change or it could be of some other lg phone)
or guide me if there is a better solution than that
please help... because i dont like any other launcher (currently using NOVA launcher) . LGhome is much better
