Baseband/Titanium Backup question... - LG Thrill 4G

Just a quick question - I flashed v21a, as there was no root for v20c. A few mins ago I flashed v20c, then rooted, then installed CWM, then flashed king 3D rom , then titanium backup. My question is, does restoring all system data/apps like reset everything..? When I look in about phone, it says, Software Version - V21A. How can I check which baseband I have?

If you flashed 20C with kdz method, than you're on 20C baseband I think.
The roms in zip format and backups do not flash baseband.

[Q]Reset Factory Default Firmware

Hi there.. recently i've updated my firmware to v10e.. When i tried a new kernel, it got bootloop and had to divert to latest cwm backup..
Then i realised, the backup cwm is v10d version. When i tried update through LG Updater, the software detects that currently im up-to-date.
So, is there any way to reset the factory default firmware so that i can update? :-?
Current settings:-
- NeoBlaze 120811
- Stock v10d, rooted

I have a similar question...I think.
I want to revert my phone to the original LG rom, I am on FIDO in Canada...
I looked at this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1035041
But wasn't sure which one to pick...
so my question is:
how can I revert my phone to the original state that it came in when I got it from Fido?
I've tried using NVFlash.. but still the "factory default firmware" is the latest.. hurmm..

I think you will have to smartflash an older baseband (pre0725) , then you can use the lg updater.

I also think thats the solution.
By restoring your backup, you mixed two ROM versions. Now you currently use 10d + the baseband from 10e (since CWM backup/restore cant handle basebands) - that's why LG updater doesn't work.
Flash the corresponding BB for 10d, if that doesn't work then returning to 10a and updating from there on might work. (Caution: BB flashing wipes your device, do a nandroid backup before!)

[Q] Few questions regarding stock ROMs

Hi there!
I have some doubts so need your help!
Right now, I am using LG stock ROM v20L EURO open (downloaded as .kdz file).
Since I am interesting for some cool themes here, I figured that I must have deodexed ROM installed and I downloaded Paul's deodexed stock version. Before I try to flash this ROM I am not sure what will happened with my Baseband 0725 for 20L that I got with kdz.file after flashing deodexed ROM in CWM. Do I need flash baseband again? Also, before flashing do I need wipe something (cache & dalvik) since I will use stock version again (only deodexed this time)? I am not sure is it stock kernel is included in stock v20L ROM?
Thank you in andvance for your help!
Cheers
your baseband will be kept, no need to flash again for the baseband. cause you're already v20L
Thank you for your answer.
In meantime decided to try and sucessfully installed odexed 20L ROM over stock version and kept all data and programs...

posseble to change baseband on cm7?

Hey, im on wrong baseband i quess my connection is not good.
is it posseble to go back to an other baseband witch will work good in the netherlands? if so witch is best? and can i install older basebands from older versions?
tnx allready
Make a nandroid backup, flash your Baseband with Smartflash then restore backup. Try 0218 as CM7 was built upon it. You can make different tries, the above method is fast.
oke and the nandroid backup how to i make this is this in clockwork mod? back up
and then flash and then restore?
Yes he means go to backup and restore and do a backup.

REQUEST ROOT for v20c

the new Samsung Galaxy note is being rooted by pushing a pre-rooted kernel to the phone and then going from there....Would this be a possible method for our phones??
Nope. They have ODIN.
We don't.

Not true. I still get the same speed on V21A.
is there anyway to backup your rom on v20c? The reason I ask is because I wonder if we could backup the rom while on v20c, and then flash v21a, then restore the v20c rom while on v21a...or vica versa restore a v21a backup while on v20c??

Nope. If you can't root, you can't backup.
You need root to install ClockworkMod.
You need ClockworkMod to do a NANDROID backup.
I don't get 4g on 21A,20A,etc.. only 20C

JB <-> KK back and forth

Hi
I'm using a VZW G2 VS980, on 12B. I rooted it, install CWM with Simple tool V3.2
I installed Cloudyfa 's CloudyPro 2.2 (KK), all the steps are done correctly, it worked but a little buggy.
The stupid thing is I tried to restore the phone with CWM from the backup (of the 12B rom), and now it stucks in the boot LG logo. I can still access CWM though, works fine.
The question is: should I sideload another ROM (or recovery - KK based) and go from there to save time or go back to stock (11A)? And then how should I procceed to get a latest custom KK rom?
Thanks guys
Flash cloudyfa Rom again so u can boot up and download a jb baseband and flash that. Wipe as normal then restore your jb backup.

Hi
Thanks but I tried that, stucked at LG logo too...
So when I restored from the backup, the baseband is still KK? (I flashed KK baseband before flashing cloudy)

You need both a JB backup and be running the JB baseband. If you did not explicitly install a JB baseband and restore a JB backup you have one or the other but not both.
A trouble I had was even though I restored the JB baseband and restored a JB backup it still didn't boot and that required dirty flashing my ROM over to get it to work.
The thing is I'm trying to get a custom KK rom that works, I don't want to go back to JB.
So should I go back completely to JB (like you said, falsh JB baseband and restore) or somehow flash another KK rom?
