Are they talking about a Streak 5? The S7 battery is 2750mAh. Why not just get a http://www.amazon.com/New-Trent-iCruiser-IMP1000-Blackberry/dp/B003ZBZ64Q/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1327672775&sr=1-3? It's cheaper and bigger. Not sure how the other one really works but Trent iCruiser would give you lots more run time.

Do even own a S7? it's pretty clear the battery in the S7 isnt removable, that's for the S5 anyway.
The only way to get more cap for the S7 is an external one like in the other link

[Q - SOLVED] New Screen? [Mod Please Close!]

Bought a new Digitizer/LCD off ebay a few months ago and installed it myself.
Question is, could a new Digitizer/LCD be draining my battery more than usual?
I would say its possible, but those screen shots don't appear to fully support that. The way I would analyze that screen shot would be to say turn off wifi and see what a day without wifi looks like. You can see only the little amount your screen was on during your steady decline, but wifi was on constant.
Edit:
The drop doesn't seem to spike at the points your screen is on.
Its very routine for me to use Pandora (on 3G) with a Bluetooth headset for a few hours with my screen off, and have it show the display as the largest drain.

Okay, I am charging up right now and going to calibrate my battery tonight. Should I turn off Data too, tomorrow? Or just Wifi?
Not sure what it is...or what it does, but is it after market or Samsung.

I thought you could only replace with a Samsung AMOLED screen, due to proprietary connections.
My guess would be the screen came from a bricked or otherwise incapacitated Captivate.

Then I'm guessing, as long as it was installed correctly, it's not the cause of the battery drain. Recalibrate, and give it a couple of charges. At least 3.

I would think the same. But this wouldn't effect the battery life, would it?
I mean obviously I put it together right if everything works with it?

Trying both couldn't hurt. But for the truly scientific approach I would do it separate. Like data on, wifi off one day, next day both off, and finally a day of airplane mode. If you can live without it for a day. Just to try to pinpoint where that drain is.

Yeah, like Joe said, I could see it throwing off your calibration, being a new screen to "learn", but I wouldn't think it is really drawing any more power than any other screen would.
Plus you are using GB, and GB is known to have battery issues. I can't get the old Froyo bump charge tricks to work in GB, it just took several power cycles.
Maybe you should start there (instead of days of trial and error as I previously suggested)... how long ago did you replace the screen?

Where I am as of today.
Battery Calibrated, no data transfer, no sound... basically in my pocket all day.
What do you guys think? Isn't it weird how much battery my screen is eating up?
It does look like the screen is the cause from those shots, though there can be other things that turn on when the screen is on.
Just to be sure, have you tried changing the screen brightness? You might want to try setting it to the lowest setting for a time, then change it to the highest and compare.
What is that notification from? Looks like the juice defender one (i could be wrong, probably am, it was a long time ago that I tried it). If that's what it is I would try a day without that. When I used it it caused massive battery drain, essentially the opposite of what it's supposed to do.

search "air strike" in this forum, lol :silly:
I agree with both of you that it's damn irritating when an idiot keeps asking the question that's been asked a hundred times before...
The problem here is that if you browse the forum on the phone itself via either the xda or the xda hd app, their search functions are crippled, and you can't search in a forum. So the search gives you a million useless results from other forums.
Thus the only solution, it seems to me, is to just keep leafing through the forum threads manually and it doesn't seem to be easy to identify a result...

Can you post a photo ?
As ridiculous as it may seem, I kind of want one!
Maybe tomorrow. I was very surprised though how elegant the phone looks with this battery. It's the new back cover, has very smooth curves, I like it a lot...
I'm a heavy user, I love my 4600mah battery for my gs3, looks like I get the gn2 tomorrow; so i'm looking at this battery and drooling. I know exactly what you mean about fitting in your hand. I spend my time doing anything from navigation while making phone calls or streaming music, extensive skype usage, constantly in my browser.. fpse is my favorite pastime (and, in fact, why i want this phone, the extra screen will be perfect for gaming those dusty ps1 games in the closet). I've been known to blast my hulu or netflix anytime anywhere, and i like my screen on bright, with all my services running like gps constantly. I get 10-12hrs of screen time depending on my usage..
any way we could get some benchmarks? how much screen on time are we talking? are you gaming, or just reading a book, or streaming video?
No, I don't feel like benchmarking anything.
Basically I can confirm though that this battery is supposedly almost 3x the capacity of the stock one, and based on my experience so far this is indeed so. Thus, I think it's a high quality battery, and whatever you're doing with the phone, you'll be able to do almost three times as long.

Best extended battery ?

Hello,
I need to do something for the autonomy of the 4X HD, so change battery.
But they are too many batteries.
Can you help me to find the most effective ?

- 2680mah, no big case, looks good
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B009C49I0I?vs=1
- 4800mah, great autonomy but so ugly !
( it : http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0091...f=mp_s_a_1_2&qid=1391823307&sr=8-2&precache=1 )
(And probably another batteries...)

Yes, he's sure. With the current technologies it is impossible to fit more mAh's into the same size without compromising the quality of materials used. This may mean the first few charges a 'bigger' battery may be more effective, but it will decay so fast, that it definitely won't be worth your money. If you want to extend your battery life, you will either need an extended battery double the size or you'll just need to carry a spare one with you.

I've got this one for quite some time now (about a month) and I've got to admit, it defiantly increase the battery life compared to the stock battery that we're given. It could be, Verizon is famous for their horrible bloatware and unoptimized software.
The battery is same 3000mah. Only difference is the wireless charging on Verizon so a different battery is possible. But same battery performance 3000mah
I've been blown away by how long the battery lasts (although I'm running a custom ROM and came from the Galaxy Nexus lol)

Yeah, I keep most of my apps running with a BLACK background. I wonder if Sammy could make a hybrid ultra power save mode that puts everything in black and white but allows all apps to be run, rather than the basics.

Wait until companies like Anker produce 3rd party batteries or wait until Samsung has them up in their store and use a 50% off code.
Battery time looks rather disappointing at the moment. Even the iPhone 6+ has almost double battery life from the screenshots posted here =(
Then go buy an iPhone
I'm worried that this may be another step backwards in battery life. Was annoyed a bit by my Note 3 doing worse than my 2 already...not sure I can stomach it going down more, 9991343212312.2323 pixels more than before and all...curious to see more results!
Keep in mind the Snapdragon version usually gets better battery life than the Exynos one in the OP.
