I've been having microphone problems from the first day I bought this phone. When I use voice recorder, or the whatsapp recorder the quality is REALLY low, volume is REALLY low and the range of the recording is pretty low as well. I don't have problems when I'm on phonecalls, tho

I use my note to record some shows as I used to do with my xperia neo, but the recording sound is horrible. So I would like to know if this ''noise cancellation'' works to record videos with loud sound
You can use programs like Audacity to clean the noise from the recorded audio.

You have noisy recordings because active noise cancellation is not used during recording. Also, this type of noise control method doesn't work well with distant sound sources (too less of a difference between the audio received by the mics).

But it really works ??? Will I have a clean sound??
Hi
When I use the loudspeaker during phone calls, the other party listens to a noise.
Let me explain better: When I use the loudspeaker, it works. I can listen to what people say to me. BUT, when the other person speaks, the sound comes through the loudspeaker and the mic in my phone captures that sound. So, whenever the other party speaks, they listen to theirselves immediately after they start speaking. that way the other party call quality is really reduced and my friends complain when I use the loudspeaker because they can't listen clearly.
Shouldn't be there some kind of noise cancellation? I mean, the mic in my phone shouldn't capture what comes out of the speaker when I make calls using loudspeaker... Does anyone experience this?
Ty
this might sound funny, but i made my first ear-to-earpiece voice call yesterday on the Z3c, after having the phone for a couple of weeks. up to then, i've only used speakerphone for calls.
call quality is, frankly, BALLS. my gf sounded like a Transformer the other night. there's some awful digital treatment or filter or something. equalizer didn't seem to make much difference.
strange thing is: speakerphone sounds great, if a little softer than what i was accustomed to using. and the stereo speakers in general, for music, videos, etc. are great -- especially when you take into account the size of the phone and speakers.
so, i'm curious: what have you done in terms of settings to make non-speakerphone calls sound better?
Hello I have a problem with my Phone.
I used in my phone Nokia 8 external plain earphones philips without built-in microphones.
When i use headphones other person which I made the call heard background noise.
I think phone's mic and background noise reduction mic should still be active with this connection
unfortunately it seems that the background reduction mic is not working when i connect plain headphones. and other people can't hear me propely
It's chance to fix this?
Whenever i try to record with an external microphone using open camera, the audio quality is trash like it has this noise cancellation thing going on around it and it breaks up the voice if i don't speak too loud. The background noise sounds like when you play with a crappy bluetooth speaker.
I've set up everything with the correct wires, the external microphone configuration on Open Camera, but nothing has changed. I've had this problem since the start of me using this phone as a daily driver for documenting. The mic i bought is quite expensive and it works alot better on pc rather on my Nokia 7 Plus.
Is there any fix to this? Please send help.
