Have you tried NVFlash?
Datasafe Disaster via NVFlash
hi, take a look in Optimus 2x Android Development. There is a thread written by Rusty called "DataSafe Disaster via NVFlash". It install a full clean MCW recovery, then you restore your backup.
Also you can use SmartFlash.

I wonder why you have su660 in Philippines.
Be that as it may, Only Paul's modded CWM 3.0.1.5 or 4.0.0.5 in works order on SU660.
Why don't you try Paul's mod?
Thanks. I wasn't able to find a download link. Can you gave me a link of the said CWM?

Can you give me the download link for the CM 7.1 #188 version that you are using?
I only found code.google.com/p/open2x/downloads/detail?name=update-cm-7.1.0-Optimus2X-SU660-KANG-signed-fixed.zip
but that mod is using V20h firmware and it when i install it it says assert failed because i am using V20F
Hope you could help me, thanks.

I posted about this. here.
I guess you couldn't restore or backup with cwm5.0.2.7 for p990 on su660.
It's due to different int sd partition number.
Some Chinese site has cwm5.0.2.7 for su660. (resolved partition problem)
Or use paul's cwm4.0.0.5 (only supports ext sd).
Than how i can replace 5.0.2.7 to 4.0.0.5 . I tried do this but i cant remove 5.0.2.7
Thanks

Ok so i tried flashing Epic got into a bootloop...so went to stock KF1...ODINed the Cognition kernel with CWM...flashed Fasty II V2.0 onto it...The ROM booted up just fine!
Then I went to Market to Download TiBu..but got a error message saying "Device doesn't have sufficient space blah blah" ...I know this..just need to wipe cache partition and am back up running...but when I boot into Recovery...I get this message:
E: can't open /cache/recovery/command
E: can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E: can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
And every time I try to wipe cache partition..it just skips the wipe and gives the above error again
Shot a PM to LostLogic...till then anyone else who knows the solution to the problem please help me
How do I remove these errors?

It gave Error can't mount cache...
Anyways I fixed this by :
1) ODINed back to Stock KF1
2) ODINed the Stock KH3 tar file onto it
3) ODINed boog's kernel
4) Installed Fasty II V2.0 using CWM 4.0
Now everything seems to be fine again.
No errors while going into Recovery!
Hi guys,
I've tried to flash a new rom and now my phone doesnt start. When i power on the LG logo displays and i automatically enter the clockworkmod menĂ¼ with this message:
ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.0
E: Cant mount /cache/recovery/command
E: Cant mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Cant open /cache/recovery/log
E: Cant mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Cant open /cache/recovery/last_log
I cant even get into the recovery mode.
Is there anything i can do? Ive tried to wipe the cache and everything a few times but had no success!
I hope you can help me!
Edit: I have tried the instructions from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1007825
And i got this error message at the end: http://s1.directupload.net/file/d/2833/czj32463_jpg.htm
Is my phone Dead? :-(

Does it reboot on going to recovery? If recovery is still accessible try clearing data, cache and dalvik.
Smart Flash Tool doesn't touch cache, userdata,nv,fota or lgdrm.
Try patching it with a different recovery.
i installed aroma file manager and deleted recovery folder which includes log and last_log files on cache
now it is ok.
i wiped cache and formatted too.
but it didnt deleted.
i deleted manually and problem solved
thnx
I recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy S GTI9000 ZSJW4 with SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse & flashed Semaphore_2.7.4 with Odin3 v3.04. Then updated to cm-10.0.0-galaxysmtd with Semaphore CWM Recovery V5.0.2.7. Everything went well.
Before these steps, I did a backup and saved in my Pc. and then did another backup after i flashed everything, it was working just fine until I tried to restore it using my first backup where everything got messed up. It seemed to complete the restoration from backup just fine, but after I rebooted it from CWM. On startup the bootlogo blinked once and went straight back into recovery which I wasn't expecting. And this is what it shows up on recovery.
Semaphore CWM Recovery C5.0.2.7

E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E:unknown volume for path [/cache/recovery/command]

(This keeps on coming up every time i reboot , I still have access to download mode and recovery, thats about it, not further than that)
I am not sure what caused this, I have tried to find posts on similar issues and haven't come across any that explains clearly how to fix the issue:
Can somebody please explain what part I went wrong and perhaps someway to fix it?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I tried the steps on your second post:
docsgoogle/open?id=0B67As4gsEH4XODdZSnhMMGtaUEU
Step 1: Start Odin
Step 2:
a. Select PIT file as 's1_odin_20100513.pit'
b. Select PDA file as 'PDA_DXJV9_Deodexed_Zipaligned.tar'
c. Select PHONE file as 'PHONE_DXJV9.tar'
d. Select CSC file as 'CSC_OLBJV9.tar'
Step 3: Under Options: Check Re-partition, Check Auto Reboot and Check F. Reset Time
Step 4: Start the phone in the download mode
Step 5: Once ID:COM/phone is 'Added!!' click Start
Step 6: You will see a lot of red text after the flash is done, don't panic, just do a 'wipe data/factory reset' and reboot the device when done.
Step 7: Let the device boot all the way then turn it off.
Step 8: Re-enter Download Mode and re-flash only the CSC file [Step 2 d] without pit and without re-partition.
It should work now...ENJOY
THIS WORKS!
