Hi, does anyone have any tips as to how I can eliminate the lag on my Note when using other launchers? Every single launcher apart from stock is laggy. I'm using GB and don't want to flash any ICS rom yet because they're mostly buggy. Thanks.

My phone is rooted. I've frozen all the dumb apps. Does it make a difference if I remove them completely?

best way is to use mobile odin to flash stock firmwares and keep the ever root option when flashing
So does that mean i shouldn't use the Samsung updates our is that just you're preferred method?

its better cause there is not touchwiz rom jb as of yet for our phone, but doesnt have the spen support nor s-apps functional.
So it depends, you like all the s stuff, stick with tw roms, you dont use them use jellycore. Only s-app like functional to my knowledge are some note taking apps.

I know that on CM based ROMS memo sketchbook + other memo clones run just fine, the ROM has s-pen support, just not Samsung developed app support.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
yeah the pen works, just not the buttons / gestures unleass an app has it.
Jellycore is modded cm10 btw

There is a thread in "themes and apps" section with a working ink effect mod .... But you need custom recovery to install it.

I don't want to be rude, but i think that using the search function is not that difficult. Learn to do things like this by yourself, you'll be even more pleased of the result, and if you follow instructions carefully everything will be fine.
However CBC has no side effects other than the warranty loss (using triangle away you can always restore it to 0 though)

Still I ask if I need custom rom for it or no

Well then I think its not possible. sry
So Samsung dont let us move apps into sd card and we are obliged to accept that our phone will lag ??
Sent from my GT-I8190 using xda app-developers app
Im not sure but i think its not samsungs fault but Android. If unterstand it right, Android 4+ is not meant to run in devices with small infernal storage and so it should not be nececessary.
Do you have installed to much apps?

i dont know why people say if you put too much data in your internal storage, you will experience lag, i dont think it matters, i used up more storage than you and my phone is smooth, you probably have too much background apps running

Rooting your phone is the key... it has always been. Plus you can try custom roms that will make your device smoother and faster without all the Samsung bloatware believe us.
