i would say, it's time to buy a new phone for you. sell the rest of it you may still get $50 - $100 for parts
new mobo is just not worth it with kaiser

I thought someone would tell me that.

A google Nexus or an Iphone 4g is what I would go for.

If you really want to fix it...
Find one on ebay with a Cracked Screen..

Just found a company that will fit a new USB socket £35 ($60)

the connector is all that's wrong with it????
did you rip it off or is still in place just not usable?
if it's ripped off, it might be that it took piece of circuit with it, but why worry, just get a battery charger with another battery for $10 together and you don't need the connector.
I disabled connector on my kaiser, by trying to reset it, while I was angry and forcefully pushing pen into connector instead of reset button could have been fixed, but I never bothered.

I wouldn't spend $60 on an almost 3 year old phone.

[Q] Broken Charging Port

Hello everybody, I've had my T879 Note since December and now my charging port is broken. Word of advice dont let you kids play with your phone while its on the charger.
I found the replacement part, but was wondering if I could use one lets say from the i717 or from similer models. Pictures of the part looks the same for all the devices just that they are branded different. Would it matter?

So I ended up buying a new charging port from etradesupply, was shipped from china to my house in about 3days. Cost $10 another $14 for standard shipping. Very easy to install about 5-10mins.

official magnetic charger cable

hi I was wondering if sony do an official magnetic charger cable. I have seen the dock and will get that in the future but I am looking for an official cable with the magnetic points to charge the phone... I have only seen unofficial 1s. I am looking for an official sony 1 preferably or a reputable 3rd party. many thanx Darren.

Sony do not market it separately. you have to buy dk30 or dk31.. disassemble it and take EC21 out and use it...

Not there in sony website... I have even seen sony xperia Z running Java, dual speaker, removable battery, dual sim even inbuilt TV reception.. but not waterproof... once i saw nokia n73 which cant make calls used as media player and camera...

Wireless charging sticker available

I saw on Aliexpress two shops which offers the wireless charging sticker.
One shop is a pre order.
And the other is combined with the NFC chip. So you have to remove the original one. Which I don't like to do.

Oh I don't know on that as I would never buy a model with NFC. I would only buy a wireless charge only.
These phones are barely just released and not even in the USA.
In the coming weeks or month, there will be more than 1 QI sticker to select from was my point.

Just ordered it.... So we will see.

I found this one on aliexpress but I wont have a G4 for a week or two so i don't know if its compatible with the US one, I know the G3 had 2 (well 3 if you count AT&T) different pin outs i'm not sure if the G4 is the same

Good finds... people need to keep posting them when they find them. I have an alert setup on ebay to email me if something comes up so I fully expect to see them on ebay soon as well.

Depends on the thickness. In theory, the more obstruction the worse the charging is going to be until it just doesn't work. A strong charger should work with the case, based off previous phones.

Hasn't anyone tried ripping out the QI/NFC sticker from a Quick Circle case and putting in a standard G4 back? Expensive option i know but at least it's an oem sticker.

Some ahole that will then try to sell them in the USA for $20.

Bad news, the magnets in the QI charger for the Nexus 5 and 7 seem to make the LG G4 think that the quick circle is closed, so you cannot interact with the phone.
Even more bad news is that I couldn't get my quickcircle case to charge, either something is faulty or LG need to enable it with a software update.
They are two versions of the quickcircle by the looks of it, CFR-100 and CFV-100. It looks like CFR may be Korea only and will not work with the H815. You can see product listings like in post 11 state compatibility with the F500 but not H815.

did you purchase one of the stickers from aliexpress? the listings seem to indicate compatibility with both F500 and H815. im confused by your post, i was under the impression no official wireless accessories have been made for the G4 yet but it sounds like you have a case?

I bought a quickcircle case of eBay, seems to be the official case.
In the UK the quickcircle case can be purchased off eBay and many official outlets now.
The pins on the back cover matchup with the phone so I'm not sure what's going on, I'm still waiting on a reply from the seller.

Just ordered 2 of these. Hope they fit tmo usa! 94 available! Hurry before their gone! lol Somebody here will probably buy all of them.

Chargingport problem

Hello!
I own the P9 since several month, but my usb-c calbe suddendly started to get loose and fell out very easy (but charged like normal) , so I bought 2 new one Amazon, with the same issue. A friend of mine also got the P9 with the same problem.
So my question is, is it the charging port or the cheap cables? I know how to change the port, but before I will do that I want to know if someone has the same problems as me? :/

I've never had an issue with mine regardless of which cable I use. I would say it is the port. Only a guess though.

Well it is also my guess too, but also a friend of mine has the same problem.. that is the thing that confuses me the most.. can u try something for me? Can u possibly put the usb-c connector into your phone and shake it a litte bit on the calbe, does it fall of? (Please try this on your bed or on somewhere where your phone can t get damaged )
Cause mine always falls from the connector.. my phone must lie down on a flat surface, without any shaking.
Do u even know a good company where i can buy a replecement parts? (German/Austria)

Just had a quick try for you. Whilst there is a bit of movement up and down on the port it doesn't come loose. When I put in any cable there is a bit of a click that keeps it secure. As for parts, I would give eBay a try.

With shipping I found one for about 21€ , du you think it is too much?
On Amazon I also found one for about 15€, but there is no one who can tell me if it is really the right one. :/
I know how it should look like, but i don not know the difference in the sice (P9lite & P9+).
What would you do?

With eBay I tend not to purchase off anyone that has less than 95% feedback. Can't say if that is expensive or not unfortunately. I would take the one from Amazon with it being cheaper, just go off the reviews on Amazon. I don't think there is any difference with the charging port between the different models.

In my phone the USB-C Cabel falls out to, but only sometimes. Other times it sits rock solid. I think it could be independent from phone to phone. You could try cleaning it with air if there is dust inside.

Well on Amazon there are no reviews for this product. :/
Unfortuately I really don't trust ebay.
My cable falls out with every single move. If I'm lying on my bed, watching some movies -> it falls out really easy wihtout touching or shaking the device. :/
The real hard question is.. is it the port or the cable. Once i got a calbe from a company called "Anker" it cost about 10€ and it was fitting perfect. (Unfortunately my dog killed it )
I guess I ll buy a new one from the same company and will try it, if not.. well then i have to open my phone anyway.
