Is it improve phone's performance?
Like a gaming?
Depending on how fast your micro-SD is, it may actually degrade performance. Best case scenario, it beats your memory card to death - albeit slowly.
use class 6 sd card ..
sant from W8 Using XDA premium
Hw=W8,Sy=X8
Rom:GingerXperia V22

in my phone configuration, it's give me more performance, like more free ram, no lag, etc.

Yeah class four is good, without swap some heavy games force close after abit and its laggy when playing. After swap no force closes and no lag. I use class 4 btw.

Sorry to sound like a sour-puss earlier. Improvements also depend on the ROM, the app in question (size, how much in resources it requires to run, etc). Those are the real variables. Card speed comes a close second. If YOU actually require it is the prime determinant.
Edit: I have a 16GB class 10 card. It's beautiful. But I personally slimmed down my ROM to minimize overhead. Plus weeding unnecessary processes hence, improvements are marginal.

I think this has happened because of ur 16 gb card...maybe ur device dont support this card....if the manufacturer of ur device says it supports 32 gb,,, that means actually it will work smoothly with 8 gb not 16 or 32 gb....
Try deletion all data on ur sd card and check if it still lags ...if it doesn't then you know the answer...
If it still lags try a 8 gb or 16 gb card ,,,,if still problem exits ,take it to service centres....

I'm using LinuxDx v.004 and app swapper configureation.
i've configured to use 128 mb for swapping, but in benchmark it shows a diffrent not that big, how come?
do i need to swap more?or a faster sd card??
Swap is not for performance upgrading. It's for running apps that has high memory usage. If you have swap, you can run games like PvZ and DeadSpace without any problem.

Hello guys all of you know that we have 512MB ram I want to know if i can add some to ram form sd card or by overclock it such as the computer's ram so how?? or it's possible (I am not believe any thing is impossible )
is this work? https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImx2Lm4zby5zd2FwcGVyMiJd
It might be possible to use sd card memory as ram but it wouldnt be as fast as a real ram
Ram chips are aweful fast
I think though that for this processor it wouldn't be an inconvenience
Try it

You can remove the swap file from your sd card using a file browser like astro or something
I'm using swap in my old gt540 for about 1,5 year and card works fine. I don't feel like I need swap in OB for now
My problem is in games if ihave 180 free ram or less the games lags so i want to get more ram so No ideas????

did anyone tried swapper? it's a good idea, i think. i'm gonna try it but i dont want my sd card to brake :s
soi curreltny made a 256 mb swap file and using v6 supercharger and everything but i didn'treally notice a difference in game performance , i can open like 5 apps but games nbot really?is it normal?
The smoothness of games depends also on the power of the cpu and gpu, which isn't the ace's strenght.
Swap helps for multitasking and keeping apps in memory longer (which reduces app loading time) but it won't make games run better or faster.
I guess little bit it help in performance of game as its usefull in load game data faster !

If your sd card is class 6 or lower, it can even slow down your games
After installing some heavy games, there's really no gaming difference. Only multi tasking has drastically improved.
I even tried out JB this afternoon using this same method and it still didn't make a gaming difference. The multi tasking is awesome though so I have no complaints.

I bought an extra one just for swap. Bought a 4GB class 4. Not risking my 8GB. It's hard on a SD with INT2EXT+ also installed. I don't know how long it'll last but once you got swap, you'll never go back.
I can play Tank Hero, switch to facebook on Opera Mini while answering to chats on WhatsApp and IMO instant messenger. Without having my game interrupted. AND run a bunch of widgets that would slow down my phone. Multi-tasking is incredible.
And the best part is, since I'm using a swap file and not partition, I can shrink or increase the swap size at will

Yeah dude. Try it out. Just make a backup before you do.
Swap is pretty useless on mobile
And you get a dead SD card with it too, like those buy one get one free in shops

Don't generalize. It's useless to you. I bet you haven't even used it before.
I'm running Cyanogen 10.1 and it's been great however I noticed it's even better sans MicroSD card(faster with better stability). Does anyone have insight on this. Furthermore is there a way to make it faster with one mounted?
Card in question is a Kingston SDHC 8GB.
