Hi everyone
I have one hd7 that i installed custom rom on it and when the windows phone is up and i attached usb cable foe installing apps nothing happened , But in bootloader when i attached usb cable , serial changed to USB and i can easily install custom Rom after making RSPL/HSPL .
I installed so many custom Rom and the problem didn't fixed.and i don't know what to do for fixing this problem .
please help me , it's driving me crazy

i just spend 2 days searching for a solution, i use the search option but without results..
I got a mda g3 device ipl spl both 3.08
i flashed it with a wcrx2 rom wm6 based, but during the flash it stucked somewhere and then it went to bootloader.
If i turn it on u get the bootloader screen..
I tried several roms even the original ones, but NO CONNECTION with USB !
i get the Connection error !
is there someone who know how to solve this?
id rather paypal u 25 euros for solving my problem then send it to customer service t-mobile !

you can still flash from bootloader mode
you can't connect via activesync but you should be able to connect still
make sure you don't have any virus protection firewall preventing the connection
then try flashing the button rom or something

First verify if your phone is establishing connectivity with pc through usb cable.Get into bootloaders and connect your phone with the pc via usb cable,verify if small usb appears at the bottom of the bootloader screen,if it appears then run the Ruu,if doesn't appear,then you have a either usb cable fault or mini usb port of the phone is damaged,it maybe that usb slot of the pc is not working,try with other usb input of the pc .

i tried several times to flash my rom and yeah i see the USB text in the corner of the screen, so im 100% sure the USB is working..
but im gonna try to flash it with the BUTTON ROM
are there other roms wich i can use for flashing my mda?
i mean wich roms are good for flashing my mda that stucked in bootloader..
cause the other ROMS didnt want to connect with my mda !

Hello everyone. I have the kaiser from 3 months. I didn't use it the last month and when I plugged to the pc usb it show me some crazy stuff. My baterry was empty when i first turn it on now, but it gest charged with the pc usb.

The hard-spl is v3.29 .
When i first get it now, what I did first was to format the SDHC 4gb card cause i saw a new version of the leo's rom. Then I turn the Kaiser on and saw the empty battery. I did 3-4 hard resets, preinstall my windows, preinstall m$ activesync 4.5, tried on another pc but still the same. I don't put any sim card to it. Still nothing, any help ?

This was only option for me.
Or try other usb port, or on other deviece.
sorry to ask this but did ur mini usb cable is in good condition ?
have u tried to flash ur stock rom & try to connect with ur PC?
my mini usb is in good condition. i have 3 and tried them all.
I haven't tried to flash my stock rom for 2 reasons- i don't know where to get it from and secondly how could i flash it without usb connection ? Error 260 then i try any ruu.exe files ;(
edit: i have some soft on my sdhc which i formatted first and then turn on the phone from a month with an empty battery- could that cause something ?

Try what Hang sad, and check in Activesync if USB conections are alowed if u can try another usb cord. Wich Windows do u use?
of course u can use ur SD to flash ur rom. card reader will help. for more info maybe u can read the wiki there were many stock rom available for download.
@theclear tried it with 3 different mini usb cables, on 2 PC,on the first pc I preinstalled the windows xp. All PCs are running winXP.
@hang.tuah my kaiser is from orange UK, which rom do you advice me to flash from ???
and another question, when i put a stock rom would i again install the hardspl and the other stuff or once they are installed there is no reason to do that ?
So flashed a new rom - [June 25] L26_KaiserDiamond_V9 (new source!) and again it still the same problem ;( What if I flashed another ROM ? Not a stock rom but another ?
1.71.09.01 install this rom now and it is still the same ;(
i would try to connect it to another pc to make sure that some paranoid 3th party program you installed dident decide to black devices trying to connect using usb

this is the second pc that i try to connect it, with the first pc i preinstalled windows and still nothing ;(
edit: now installed an orange rom win wm6.0 still the same problem ;(

looked mine and the pin is not in its place. may be that is the cause. mine problem is the same - the second pin -how possibly i could pick it up alive :S
OOOK finally how it work with a knife modifying The black thing of the usb was able to pul it down and get the thing up again. 10x vary much !!! !!!

I can not synch my tytn2 kaiser to my pc ...I when connect the ppc to pc by the cable ...the pc ask me to install drivers ....& I have no drivers!!!!
I have no problems to synch by blue tooth....
help me please .....

if you are using vista, the drivers are here

I found 4 folders :blue tooth ,RNDIS,serials,WPD.
& a lot of subfolders inside these folders ....& I can not known which one is the drivers for the kaiser. . ....

Well I just used the CDROM that came in the box with my TyTN II before even thinking about connecting the phone so if you've tried all this then the USB ports on the PC must be faulty, unable to cope with advanced networking functionality, or disabled.
realy I lost the CD you are talking about it . . ... !!
but without using this CD ,there was no problems of cable connection until I upgraded the ROM "nothrill" . . ...then after that I can not do any cable connection . . ...????

Really Of course you can get Activesync/WMDC from Microsofts website (read the xda wiki if this means nothing to you), but the Kaiser customisations only come with the HTC CDROM.

The plot thickens . In accordance with forum rules then, you should post in the forum related to that "nothrill" ROM that you've installed. This problem doesn't occur with my correctly installed HTC official ROM.

No but even if it was possible, would it be wise to try yet another ROM given whats happened with this one? Aren't you more interested in putting it back how it was and reverting, rather than 'upgrading' again? This gives a new definition to the term 'upgrading'.... Time for you to do some wiki reading to see what options are avail.

I don't believe it is possible unfortunately.
What issues are you having? Have you tried updating (or even downgrading them depending on what you currently have) the usb drivers?
The probleme that most of us flashing new cooked ROMs & my device get stucked several times. Likely it is connected via USB, Otherwise I can not do any thing.
Also due to several ROM flash times the USB connection in HD (or other devices) might broken.
This why we need a way to install USPL or HSPL via SD card.
Can some one help?

What I don't understand is how can a usb port become 'broken' due to flashing several custom build roms?
I too having a problem with the usb port on my blackstone. It can only be charged but not synchronized with pc anymore. I had HTC pick up my phone to have the mainboard replaced. Luckily the phone was still under warranty, so it won't cost me much.
Can someone explain?
i had similar probs ...
went to regedit , local maschine, software, microsoft,
windows ce services and changed to (1) the key : hasusbdevice
after this no problems anymore
it seems that a program installation changes this number from 1 to 0.

This is not possible infortunately. However you do not need your device sync'ed with your pc to run HSPL. You only need to put device into bootloader and then connect it to pc. Bottom of bootloader should change from 'serial' to 'usb'. If not, you will need to update usb drivers. All this info can be found on this thread, no need for another

hey guys, I'm a newbie and I have a problem that really irritates me, I have bought an old X1 running windows mobile 6.1 German, I wish to install an English or a French OS, the problem is that my USB cable just don't work, I've tried several others on many pcs, still having the same problem, isn't there a way to install HardSPL without using the USB cable? another question; is it really necessary to install HardSPL if I want to install an original SonyEricsson's ROM, please answer me, I just don't understand a word of german language, thank you, please.
u dont have to hardspl if using original rom. but u still need a working usb cable. how can u install without a cable? OTA?
i was thinking of the memory card method.
Why not using USB Cable, though the fake one is not expensive.
You can also salvage from your other gadget, mine Ext. HDD

Okay, I'm not sure if it will work or might destroy your X1.
When you doubled click (Execute) the HardSPL you'll found "RUU_Signed.nbh" extracted. Maybe you can place that "RUU_Signed.nbh" to Storage card. And then execute bootloader, like flashing ROM.
*Notice* It's only my idea. I have no guarantee about this because I've never done this.
Maybe you can PM the expert (the creator of that HardSPL) first.
U just get an error when installing hardSPL?? I think your computer USB got a missunderstanding or uncompitibility with another USB driver, maybe u should to install a new fresh computer with USB 2 installed, then try this to hardSPL your X1, worked on me, hehehe
DO NOT try and install hard=spl via sd card
it WILL fail and you could breaak your phone blah blah!
just buy a cheapo usb cable
have you installed activesync or WMDC first??
