[GUIDE] Fix For Touch Screen Failed after flashing old ROM.

Hi Guys,
If you got problems with Touch Screen Failed after flashing a old rom with S-OFF (possibly downgrade HBOOT issue):
(for example. RUU_Buzz_HTC_WWE_1.14.405.2_R_C_Radio_13.45.55.24_ 3.35.15.19_release_141106_signed.exe).
Try to flash phone using flasher in this archive:
It should fix all your touch screen not working issue.
Working only on WildFire.

hello ... what files are changed ? because i have a branded 1und1_vodafone wildfire and cannot read the cid (usb debugging is off and touchscreen failed)

Well I flashed an old rom and the touchscreen is now not working but when I try and run RUU it won't connect via USB and as the screen is not working I can go through the options? Is there any other way around this?

To downgrade you must have S-Off if thats the case just extract the rom.zip rename it to PC49IMG.zip place it on root of SDCard reboot into Hboot and say yes to update.

For fail digitizer after root, unlock, s-off or install recovery, working for me change to stock hboot with s-on, download and procedure in:

I read "touchscreen - fail" in hboot details, for enter in hboot press "vol-" + "power", discard this, before change hboot, also hardware screen failure possible.

[Q] HTC Touch Diamond 2, not flashing

Dear Honorable Seniors, I am so obsessed to get some troubles with my htc (Touch Diamond 2).
I want to get rid off from my ROM that is already available on it (I dont how to find it is official or cooked and which is that version or name). I try to download many cooked ROMs to flash but tried two:
1-energy
2-mozart
but everytime flashing process stopped at 0% percent and after 6-7mint it display a window for recovery. I do restart my system and got the prior windows version, no flashing at all.
I thought there may be Hard-SPL issue (although I dont know what is it). I download its compatible version and try to flash Hard-SPL it also stuck at 0% and not moving upwards.
Help will be appreciated in their respect.
Sorry if my english not comprehendable I am not english speaking person.

1. Install HSPL. Follow instructions in the thread.
2. Install custom ROM.
You cannot install a ROM until you have installed HSPL first.

I think Muqaddas has already tried HSPL as he described in the post, but the progress stuck @ 0%.
Muqaddas, may be you can try below:
- Disable antivirus software, temporarily, on your PC
- Do HSPL (1.83 and update to 2.51)
- Use Advance ROM Update Utility to do a Task 29.
- Upgrade to latest Radio ROM, if not latest.
- Flash the ROM you wanted.

1-during Hard spl I found my version is already about 2.16.415.3 and the version I got from Hard-spl link (your given) is showing 1.83.OliNex, yet I tried with this but again stuck at 0% (error code---262)......Can yoy please tell me how Can I check That my cell is already did hard-spl on it-----and how to know it is CID-Unlocked...............
2-by using Advance ROM Update utility, it also not being flashed and giving the same error 0% (code-262)
may this because of my PC operating system which is Windows 7?
but I have flashed HTC Touch Diamond in the same system.....
please help me, my already OS disturbing me alot.

WIN7 could be your issue, it is best to use XP. Also it is important to install the enablenewrapi.cab
You can check your SPL level by entering bootloader mode (holding Volume Down as device reboots until you get to the tri-colored screen)to verify that your SPL: version has "Olinex" as a suffix.
How to flash?
RUU.exe method;
1. Download enablenewrapi.cab, copy to your device with ActiveSync (WMDC) and execute the cab.
2. Download Topaz_CustomRUU_v1.1.zip and both the 1.83 and 2.51 HSPL files.
3. Place the CustomRUU.exe and the RUU_Signed.nbh file from the 1.83 version into the same folder on your PC.
4. With your device sync'd, run the CustomRUU.exe and follow the prompts on your PC.
5. If successful, the progress bar will go to 100% and you can enter bootloader mode (holding Volume Down as device reboots until you get to the tri-colored screen)to verify that your SPL: version has "Olinex" as a sufffix.
If so, you've successfully flashed HSPL.
Repeat steps 3-5 for 2.51
If unsuccessful....
SD Card Method;
1. Rename the RUU_Signed.nbh to TOPAIMG.nbh and place on the root of your FAT32 formatted SD card.
2. Enter bootloader mode and it should initiate the flash. You may get an error of "No Image Found" or you get progress bar stuck at 0%. This would be a failed flash, just soft reset and you'll be back to stock.
If still unsuccessful....
Try the HardSPL_V5_00R5_183HSPL.zip

HI Muqaddas,
The issue seems to be somewhere in HSPL and the device is not ready for any custom ROM yet. I dont think PC OS has anything to do here unless the "Antivirus S/W is disabled".
Once you device is CID unlocked you should able to install any ROM .
But as you are telling you can see "1.83.OliNex" in the Bootloader... so Can you try to update that to 2.51 and see if that work?
Also try searching the "error code---262" in the HSPL thread, whihc may give you some idea...
EDIT:
ERROR [262] : UPDATE ERROR
This error occurs during the CE ROM code upgrade process.
Solution: If this happens, you can just soft-reset the device and run RUU again. The update process will then continue.
Note: At this stage, the Wince is destroyed; instead, it is in upgrade mode.
As you said you can see the OliNex in bootloader your device is CID unlocked.
Can you try below and see if that work:
1) Upgrade your HSPL to 2.51.
2) Start Windows Mobile Device Center
3) Start your device in TriColor boot loader mode.
3) Connect you USB to PC and and make sure your device bootloader white screen say "USB"
4) Now start flashing from PC using RUU.
See if this work else try "SD Card Method" suggested by Bruce.

On Ur phone go to Settings-> Connections -> USB to PC & "uncheck" the option Enable faster data synchronization & then try ...worked for me

I am sorry to be desperate but after following all the precedures suggested in this place I am not successful...
I was hopefull that I might flash my TOPAZ after getting 512mb card and after many struggles I arranged it for flashing .....
but after bootloader it stuched at
loading.....

Try restoring your bootloader to the stock, flash a Windows stock ROM, then come back with HSPL and custom ROM.

Hey, May be you can go to service center near to you and ask them to install new ROM so that they will install new ROM and may be try to unlock the phone if it is with them...
Once they install new ROM then I think you can continue HSPL here and have fun .

You can get that from HTC website of your region.
Goto: http://www.htc.com/uk/selectcountry.aspx
Select your country -> Click Support -> Select your device and download the latest ROM update.

(File: RUU_Topaz_S2_HTC_WWE_2.53.405.5_Radio_Signed_Topaz_61.44etc.25.35_4.49.25.91_Ship.exe)
Just sync your device in PC and run the above file and all should get updated .

at first you have to unlock your phone with hardspl:

Instructions to flash Hard-SPL:
it's recommended you run the basic package, and don't flash the other attachment (MFG SPL - it is only for hackers).
0a) make sure you have .NET framework installed on your PC! if not, get it from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en
0b) if you have vista, WMDC update is recommended: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...ce-center.mspx
1) download Hard-SPL package from attachment, extract to an empty folder.
2) it is recommended you download only the X1_HardSPL_v1.zip unless you want to tinker with MFG SPL (MFG SPL 0.52 is a separate attachment).
3) you must Have Phone Synced with PC in Windows Mobile!
4) run X1_HardSPL.exe. (if you want to flash MFG SPL: at this point replace the extracted RUU_Signed.nbh with the MFG version of RUU_Signed.nbh)
5) follow steps in the RUU, and check on the device for prompts after PC shows loading bar.
6) it should go to tricolour screen now and say 0.52.OliNex.MFG (this is SSPL!).
7) Hard-SPL flashes, device automatically reboots, job done.
8 ) to confirm you got it installed, go into bootloader mode (tricolour screen!) and verify the screen shows 0.72.OliNex (or 0.52.OliNex MFG).
NOTE: you will not see the SPL version during normal boot, that is the OS version, not SPL!
to enter bootloader mode to see version: with the device turned OFF, press and hold the volume down button along with the power button, then release the power button, and finally release volume down button when bootloader tricolour screen appears.
NOTE 2: anyone having problems with the device entering SSPL automatically(your device doesn't go to tricolour screen), please copy Xperia-SSPL-Manual.exe from the Xperia-SSPL-Manual.zip attachment to the device and run it. then once the screen is in SSPL (tricolour screen saying 0.52.OliNex), run RUU on the PC (i.e. the rest of the hardspl package) manually.
NOTE 3: this is unsigned Hard-SPL. also, this has overwrite protection, if someone needs to revert to stock SPL for warranty reasons, a stock SPL downgrade package is also available here - scroll down!
NOTE 4: do not use this RUU to flash anything else! this is only intended for flashing the Hard-SPL. use Xperia CustomRUU to flash other ROM images. for example this version: http://rapidshare.com/files/164933503/X1_CustomRUU.zip

[Q] How to Install ROM after Repair Boot HD7

Today I Receive a dead HD7 from a customer.After Repaire Boot with JTAG Phone start and goto Bootloader screen.It Shows SPL-1.23
Now,I cant install any ROM on this set.I try to RSPL and then HSPL but RSPL done ok and HSPL not done.After RSPL and try to install "RUU_Schubert_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.23.707.01_Radio_5.51.09.06a_22.30.50.09_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE.exe" Shows "Flash Write" error and phone dead. I repaire Bootloader for the second time and now phone enter in bootloader with SPL-1.23 .Please tell me that how can i install RUU or custom ROM with no error.

i have a little problem with my htc hd7. when tried to upgrade my wp 7.5 to wp 7.8 my bootloader locked so i cant connect my phone in mod bootloader and cant install rom.
now apear in mod bootloader this mensage :" unlocking bootloader" and the word in botoom of display "serial" its gone
what can i do to solve this problem??

Use the Goldcard method, install any ROM with a bootloader below v5.
Then use Cotulla's RSPL
Then boot into boot loader mode (color bands) poewr up with the volume down pressed.
Use Deepshining to get WP7.8.

Hi.
Your device is small/semi bricked.
You can use the goldcard method to fix your HD7 and downgrade the SPL from 5.xxx to at or below 3.xxx (which is required to install XSPL)
The goldcard method requires - 1gb to 2gb SD card, card reader, Y cable (either homemade or purchased online) and you have to download a Pre-NoDo or NoDo rom, goldcard tool and the goldcard image.
You flash the drive while it's in USB host mode (not bootloader mode)
To enter USB host mode - Power off the device - press and hold down - the volume down button and camera button together and power on the device while continuing to hold down the vol down and camera button. The device will go to a screen that says"Enter USB Host Mode...."
These are the steps -
1. Flash the device using the goldcard method. (This will repair the damaged bootloader and downgrade the SPL)
2. Install XSPL = RSPL and HSPL (the devices SPL has to be at or below 3.xxx to install XSPL to avoid damaging the bootloader)
3. Flash the custom rom of your choice via bootloader mode
